War.

After a little over a week we had reached our destination, a camp deep within Sarion borders, apparently we had won the siege at the border already. We had already passed a broken siege base a few days back which now acted as supply deposit for the matching army.

Currently I was at a camp fire with one of my old friends Missel, the time was still morning and today would be the day the cannon folder starts training.

"I can't eat this." Missel declared with a frown. The porridge served here absolutely horrendous and someone like Missel who was a dedicated meat lover couldn't stand this.

"Yeah well here's your chance to put in a complaint." Standing at attention, a man stops in front of our camp.

"Round up the rest of you lot I want to see everyone in less than 20 minutes." The middle aged knight says before walking back to his tent.

In 25 minutes we stood at the edge of the camp, being placed in proper formation and being addressed at the proper formation. This was all just formalities at the end of the day we would be the most likely to die first.

Our current group consisted of two thousand men, with most of them being moved to the main battlefield. As for us? Our job was to move around the main enemy army and cause as much chaos as possible inside there borders.

....

Today was the third day in the camp we were being taught how to use spears, Missel had lucked out ending up with the archers, sadly for me the group was full by the time it was my turn, it would seem I wasn't as good as I thought I was with the bow. In a few days we would be sent deep inland to start our mission.

Through the training I couldn't help but grin at the power I felt, my strength stat was sitting as a solid 35 currently making my movements as fluid and loose as they could be.

'This feels amazing.' I thought to myself while swinging the spear around. With my already high dexterity my movements were whatever I wanted.

With my high strength stat I believe I was untouchable. The training continued for the rest of the day, it was mostly a test of our endurance but I had plenty of that.

....

It was almost the end of the year 109, the war had continued, at this point I had already been through many 'wars,' the things I had seen had left me a different man, I knew our goal but this was just... Something else. The killings, the raping and many other messed up shit. I thought we would burn a few villages and be done with it, apparently I didn't know what that entailed.

Sitting on a log I could hear the screaming of women and children, the latter being killed and the former... Well you get it.

This was our third village and news was that the enemy had finally found us out. We were to retreat and meet up with the main forces.

....

Our retreat wasn't as smooth as planned we were ambushed on our way back, and boy was it a slaughter, less than half had survived, and get this, the moment shit went south our commanders had ditched us. Those horse riding fucks new something like this would happen.

The year was now 110 of the magic calendar. We had long found our way back and were now part of the main, so far only seven people from our no name village had survived a few farmers, and Missel. We stood at attention as we faced of the opposing army obviously we where at the front lines waiting for the cowards to give the orders.

I was honestly getting sick of this war but I could only fight. 'god I hope my Sana is alright.' I thought to my self after thinking about how the enemy could have done the same thing, moving around the main army to cause mayhem.

Soon drums were heard and the march began.

....

Omni POV

In the midst of the chaos, one person seemed to dance around the battlefield, his blade moving an hinged through necks. He seemed to be trying to go unnoticed, but beheading being his only way of killing, quite eye catching, in his mind this was the most efficient way of ending a bout.

With every encounter his movements would pause waiting for the enemy's attack, any real veteran watching could tell that he was an amateur, of course his speed and strength was a different story, with a simple twist a sword would miss due to his high reflex and a head would fly in turn, a missed stab and another head for the sand. By the evening the war was over, and the day was done.

During the night Jacob had received a strange request a Noble had asked to meet with. At the tent two knights stood firm, starring down all that would pass.

Walking in Jacob was standing in front of Count Leon Helod Kalion, a middle aged noble of Ratey he had decisively investigated Jacob, and found that he was just a regular commoner. But being a collector of strong individuals Leon could tell that even with all the strength and speed he had displayed, the man before him was still... Ordinary.

"Hello Mr. Jacob please take a seat." Jacob didn't know it but tonight he would make a powerful friend.

....

The wars continued, due to the nature of the Sarion states they didn't have a real army all there soldiers were simply mercenaries this included the generals.

This gave them the added benefit of a large trained force plus the common man mixed in. While marching north deep within Sarion states, another army could be spotted on the horizon.

"Get ready" the orders came in timely, shuffling through the people I got into position, today though seemed to be different instead of the front lines I was way at the, this was due to a man by my side, a warrior in count Leon's employe. The man had had me placed at the back with the third and fourth son's of nobles. Looking back I could see the nobles getting of there horses, surrounding them was a group of well trained looking knights.

"Here they come, try not to get yourself killed." The man said while brandishing his sword.

Focusing forward I could see a large number of horses figures all in different armours, the only thing to tell them apart from our side was a small yellow cloak on there left shoulders.

'fuck this!'
