The Void

"we are going to die here! Do you understand that?"

As slowly the realisation that this place might be my end started to sink in. My mind went into a stir at the thought, I started to hyper ventilate.

The woman on the floor seeing this gleaned with mockery. "Finally it's starting to sink in huh." She said before starting to laugh mockingly.

"How the fuck did you open that portal then?!" I asked the desperation obvious in my voice.

"Hahaha, that was the last bit of souls I had, now I have nothing." As she spoke her tone continued to drop.

"The why didn't you just come through that?"

"Am a fucking demon, I can't enter any dimension without an invitation."

As she spoke the ground started to rumble, "what the fuck?"

Despair reflected from the demons eyes, as she looked in a certain passage of the cavern.

"We are fucking dead, hahaha." As she laughed like it was the end of the world, I notice blood like tears flow from her eyes.

"I don't want to bloody die!" she screamed.

"then fucking help me!"

*SCREECH

Suddenly a loud screech came from behind me. Looking back a large group of... What the fuck are those.

Strange creatures crawl in from different holes, cracks and passages. They were a sickly grey with different and horrifying features; some had mouths that stretched all the way to their mid section and others had no mouths at all.

"How? I need souls and a fool stupid enough to let me in."

"Will figure it out later, right now let's try to survive." I said as I pulled out the sword still in the demons shoulder.

The creatures noticing us quickly charged, it was at this moment I knew... I had screwed up. Thousand upon thousands of the same monsters poured out from every hole. "Fuck me"

"The wall you idiot! Destroy it." The demon said as she pulled herself up.

"what? Right!" looking at the wall behind me I notice a few cracks on it, it must have been weakened to make contingency exit.

Using my largest sword manage to pry the wall open, before I could jump out. "fucking help me!" I look back. Only to see the demon couldn't get up. With one arm missing and the other... Still there but her shoulder was literally falling off.

"Fuck!" I said before running back and pulling her by the hair, I could hear her screaming a bunch of voguer words but I had no time to talk back right now.

Calling my other sword, I use it to pull me forward thus making our escape. Look back only to see the abominations screech at us.

As I looked away from our previous location I notice that our surroundings were empty plus few floating rocks, like space. "Where are we?"

(An: think of it like the Null void from Ben 10.)

"Expected from an insignificant race like yours." The demon said while laying on her stomach. "welcome to the universal prison: The Void."

...

We had found ourselves a small rock to hide in. I stood on the entrance of the meteor like mountain. I could have kept moving, but there was no where to go, so we had ended up here in floating rock.

As I stared at the endless void I couldn't help but notice a few stars, not many, but enough to capture my attention.

"Curses! Human, I wish to make a deal with you."

I looked back to see the demoness crawling towards me, she seemed scared... No she was desperate. Her wounds looked better but she seemed to have shrunken a bit.

"What?" I answered, planning to use this situation to my advantage.

"My power, I won't be able to last long, I need your soul."

She stared into my eyes dead serious, but the only thing I could think about was how to say no in the most brutal and destroying way possible.

"Excuse my French but in which fucking plane of existence would I ever say yes to that?!" I blurted out after a few seconds.

"I am your only way out of here, and if I die you-"

"Am stuck here? Well then, fuck it, am stuck here. Just no am not giving you my freaking soul." I said but trailed off at the end as I noticed the demons body slowly shrink and morph.

Her body slowly turned slender, the heavy armour slow got absorbed into her body, her features slowly disappeared making her lose her eyes, nose, mouth and pointed ears.

"What the hell?"

"My body doesn't have enough strength to maintain its human aesthetics." She said, now in her true form, a featureless red skinned creature with a hollow centre that holds small ember at its core.

"My soul has no source to burn, I need your soul!"

"Over my dead body, am not putting my soul in your furnace... Thingy"

"if I die you-"

"Yeah, I heard and how do you plan we escape after give you my soul? I doubt one soul will be enough to escape a literal universe prison."

"I-" she started once again but I cut her off.

"Just come up with something that doesn't involve you devouring my soul."

Her angular body that looked like a polygon Lara Croft seemed to lose hope as it slumped down.

To say I wasn't worried would be lie, but wasn't planning to give up my soul for a plan that had no hopes of working.

"Wait!"

As was thinking of what I would do in this place alone the demon seemed to have come to a realization.

"I can attach to your soul simply syphon some of your energy. Maybe I can gather enough to reach out into your world one more time."

I couldn't help but nod my head at this plan, I was hesitant to this plan seeing as it still involved the eating of my soul, but it was better than losing it completely.

She looked up at me with her featureless face, not going to lie it's a little unnerving. I could see the hope in her eyes? Face? anyways, since her life depended on my agreement to this plan and she couldn't fight me in her current condition, it was all up to my decision.

"fine, we will go with this plan..."

She suddenly raised her chest revealing her flame, the flame seemed to crackle with for a second before creating a parchment.

I grabbed hold of the paper before reading it. After only a few seconds I was done. It seemed because of the dire situation she was in she didn't try anything sketchy, I mean any human being from the twenty first century new to expect loopholes in a demon contract-

'wait there is no penalty if she decides to completely devour my soul.'

"Add a penalty if my soul is accidentally eaten or destroyed by you." I said looking at her with a frown.

I hadn't noticed due to the short length of the contract but she had managed to make the contract so simple that the simplicity was actually the loophole.

"I can't make a new contract with my current strength-"

"Well I guess you are dying, to bad I didn't even get to know your know or whatever."

I said as I looked at her with zero remorse.

"fine!" with another crackling from the fire a new contract was made.

As I read through it a strange screech pierced through the atmosphere.

"Oh no."

I looked back at the entrance before continuing with my task.

After I quickly reviewed the contract while asked what that sound was.

After verifying I signed the contract with my name, I looked back at the demon only to see nothing in the place she was laying.
