Plans just got bigger.

After walking working for two hours, my new creation is done, a ring made of iron and more. I put down my make shift pliers and hold it up towards the light, and like on queue Sana walks in.

She smiles, her freckles in full view. "I brought lunch."she lifted the basket.

With nothing to do at home Sana would come over wait for me. I smile while walking over and stroke her hair. "I told you not to overdo work yourself."

She giggles and drags me to the waiting bench, "The house is not that far, and I get bored being alone there." She takes out the food for me as she talks.

"Thank you." I Said before eating my food. "Oh before I forget, here I made this for you." I pulled out the ring.

"It's wonderful." She said with gasp, she slowly put the ring on, but it was to small for her middle finger, so she wore it on her second last finger.

The ring was a test and proves my suspicion about my mana. With little effort I could pull on it with very little effort.

This was by far the best news I had gotten in a while, well that and that. Turned my attention to the growing lump on Sana's abdomen.

She was already five months pregnant, and it was showing. 'only four months left, sigh.' My heart would skip a beat every time I thought about it.

'Was I even ready? I mean I wanted this but, can I pull it of as a father?' I thought as absent mindedly stared at her stomach. She had long notice my peculiar mood.

I felt her hand grab mine, she pulled it over her stomach, "it's exciting isn't it?" She said with toothy smile.

"I have another word for it." Said with a self deprecating smile.

With confusion in her eyes she asks, "Why?"

And being the toxic masculine man I am chose the safe option, hiding my emotions.

"It's nothing." And being the good wife she is she simply smiles at me

'God, that smile saves my soul.' I exclaimed to myself.

While indulge in our small talk the door opens, and a burly man works in. He notices me and nods in greeting, "I came for the knife.is it ready?"

"Yes of course, this way." I walk to the back of the counter and pull out the recently made knife.

"Here you go." Placing the knife down on the table I waited for the man to inspect it.

The pulled out a piece of wood from his pocket. Putting it on the table he slowly takes the knife and starts cutting pieces of the wood. He seemed pleased with the knife judging by the wrinkles of his brows rifting.

With a nod he pulls out a gold coin, "Thanks for sharpening it for me." He puts the knife away and walks out.

With a sigh, I move back to my wife "let's go that was the last customer of the Day." I helped her up, and we walked back home together.

.....

Months go by in the village with the usual life I had created.

A voice calls out while am talking with a customer, she was by far my least favourite of them all, she would always come back with a complaint about my work.

And honestly I was about to explode with her, "Lady if you don't like what I do wait for the freaking merchant!"

"Jac!!" A shout came from the door. and still frustrated I could only reply with a shout of my own,"what!"

"It's Sana, shes in labour." The man slightly older than me was my neighbour.

I didn't even doubt him since Sana was almost a month past her date, and with that I zipped out of the smith and headed straight home.

In a short time I was already at the door inside the house. "Where is she?" I ask, the neighbours wife came over and said that miss Anna and the nun where already in there, she also stopped me from going in.

I immediately understood why, having had taken nursing back on earth before dropping out. In less than fifteen minutes a cry was a head.

Hearing that sound made me so happy, tears threatened to drop, soon after Anna came out and beaconed me to come over, inside was a sickly looking Sana holding a blond haired baby.

The nun came over and gave me a pat of the back, "congratulations Jacob, it's a girl."

My first emotion was sadness, but quickly came understanding from the fact that I couldn't choose the gender, and then joy, my first child! In this and my past life.

I moved close taking a good at the now silent baby, she had her eyes closed, she was already drinking her mother's milk.

"What will you her p

name?" Asked Sana in a low voice, looking at her now, I couldn't help but smile and hold her hand.

I never thought of names for the baby back then, but thinking about it right I couldn't help but think of my favourite characters, I couldn't help but blurt out my favourite name. "Amethyst."

"Amethyst." Sana echoed back "it's beautiful" she said before falling asleep.

I chuckled at her sleeping face. Looking back I notice the nuns look. "What?"

"How do you know what amethyst is? How does a country bumpkin like you even know that name, as far as I know the closest mine is on the other side of the kingdom." She said moving closer she was whispering, afraid to wake up the mother and child.

With a sigh I pulled the nun outside the kitchen door.

...

"So you are telling me you have someone's memories mixed with yours, is that the reason you changed your whole life?" Not willing to tell everyone I simply told some half truths.

With a sigh she continued, "I guess that makes sense I already checked your body you have nothing foreign, not to mention you also awakened a small amount of mana too."

'wait that's it, you believe me?' I couldn't help but doubt this situation, but thinking it over I would do the same. (Imagine taking a pregnancy test and seeing positive, but believing otherwise... Yeah.)

"Anyways, I have to go and congratulations again. Oh, and don't think I have to say this but don't tell anyone about your... Situation."

Slowly the aged nun walked back into the house before leaving.

I walked back inside to do the needed work. Night came and I was lying on the newly made bed with my wife and sleeping child.

She was eating some porridge to regain her strength. "How do you feel?"

She looked at me with a smile. "Much better. I don't think I can eat anymore." She said looking at me with a pleading look.

I had forced her to eat, considering how much she has been eating recently. I had no choice, even now she had only taken five spoons of porridge.

"Sigh, fine, you can put the bowl down I will take it out later.

"Can I have are back... Please?" She asked sheepishly while looking at the baby in my hands.

"But, I just got her." I said unwilling to give her back the child.

"Please." She raised her hands hoping I will hand her over. But with an iron heart, "no." I responded not willing to give her back. My crystal gem.
