Epiosde 8: Meeting parents

Sherry:(phone rings) Hello!

Mr Fred: Hello is this Sherry? it's Grandpa!

Sherry: Grandpa! Woah! how did you get my contact?

Mr Fred: Miss Sherry! getting your contact isnt a Problem. So I wanted to ask are you busy?

Sherry: Well I'm at work now.

Mr Fred: Oh! Okay. Be Sure to drop by the house after work.

Sherry: Okay! Bye! (she cuts the phone)

SCENE 2

Noel:(comes in to surpervise the job they were doing)

Workers: Good day! Mr Austin.

Noel: Hm..Good day.

At the filming center

Olivia:(filming) Frank! Tell me the truth, did you meet Anna on the 21st?

Ben:(a random guy playing the male protagonist) Yes! But it's not what you think!

Olivia: You went out on the 21st with your ex lover and you say it's not what I think, don't you remember what that day was? it was..

Ben: Our anniversary. I remember, I can never forget!

Olivia: But you did, and it's unforgivable (she turns to Leave)

Ben:(hugs her from the back) Don't leave, I love you...I won't allow you go.

Director: Cut! (they ended the scene) Perfect. Miss Olivia you're indeed a true talent.

Olivia: Thank you. Water (Sherry runs to her and gives her water)

Sherry: Here you go Miss Olivia

Olivia: Thank you.(to the director,) so do we have to shoot any more scenes today?

Director: No! you can leave now.

Olivia: Oh! okay thank you director

Sherry: Miss Olivia! Since you have no more scenes to shoot, can I go now?

Olivia: Sure.

Sherry: Thank you! (she picks up her bags and leaves)

AT MR FRED'S HOUSE

Sherry: Grandpa! I'm here.

Mr Fred: Yeah! you're here. That's great. come inside.

Sherry: Grandpa I brought Steaks. Do you want to have a try?

Mr Fred: Sure.

Sherry: Okay! (she serves him) Here grandpa, have a bite.

Mr Fred: (takes a bite) Hmm... Delicious.

Sherry: Really? That's great then.

Mr Fred: Did you make them?

Sherry: No! I just bought them while coming. I came directly from work, so I couldn't make them myself.

Mr Fred: Oh! okay.

Sherry: So grandpa! why did you ask me to come over today?

Mr Fred: What? can't I ask you to come over? Is it bad?

Sherry: No Grandpa, it's just that I'm afraid if Mr Noel finds out, he'll think I'm doing it to gain his attention, and he'll ask me to marry him again.

Mr Fred: What? Don't you want to marry my son?

Sherry: I..I.

Mr Fred: Actually, I know Noel Isn't Actually a likeable person, and he knows nothing about love or women. But he isn't a bad person either, he's really a sweet, loving a kind-hearted child. He's parents died when he was younger, and as the only Heir to SL, he was already placed with heavy responsibility at his young age. He wasn't allowed to live a normal life like teenagers, his life was expected to be flawless. He couldn't even afford a mistake. He was deprived of most things, that normal teens where allowed to do, and that affected him greatly. But he still pretended to be fine and Alright, even when he knew he wasn't.. That's the kind of person he was trained to be, the kind of person who would never for once show his weakness in front of others. So whenever he acts all willfully, it's not his fault, he's actually not aware of the thoughts of others, he was trained to always care for himself and himself alone. So please don't blame him, at Least for my sake.

Sherry: Grandpa! I know, to honest I was known Mr Noel longer than now, I used to like him back then in highschool. But unfortunately, he didn't like me back then. So I understand him a bit. And I'm not blaming him for any thing. Marrying him, Isn't something bad, but I'm afraid that if I get married to him, on this contract, I'll end up falling for him again, and get hurt again because he won't love me back!

Mr Fred: Contract? He asked you to marry him on a contract?

Sherry: Yes! He said he wanted a contract marriage for a year and half.

Mr Fred: Is it before the doctor said I have few years to live that he decided to do that to you? How cruel how dare him?

Sherry: Grandpa you didn't know?

Mr Fred: No! I thought he asked you because he really liked you. That brat.

Sherry: Sorry Grandpa i shouldn't have told you.

Mr Fred: No! it's I who should be sorry that brat he had no reasoning

Sherry:(laughs) Grandpa! Actually it's not a bad thing, I've decided to consider it, besides getting married to him, is one of my biggest dreams. And who knows. Maybe after we get to stay together for a year and half, he'll end up falling for me someday.

Mr Fred: Miss Sherry! Thank you.

Sherry: No need for it Grandpa.

MEANWHILE. AT SHERRY'S HOUSE

Noel: Are you sure this is where she lives?

Kalvin: Yes! (enters inside the house, which has a restaurant at the front of it)

Mrs Williams: Welcome! Do you need any meals?

Noel: Not Really. Well I came for you!

Mrs Williams: Me? Why?

Noel: Well I'm Sherry's boss. (gives her his company card)

Mrs Williams: (reads it) "CEO of SL!" (to Noel) SL? isn't a big entertainment company?

Noel: Yes! it is.

Mrs Williams: No! my daughter doesn't work there, she works for a small programming Company.

Noel:(exchanges glance with Kalvin) Well..

Kalvin: Well Mrs Williams, Sherry lost that job not long ago, and she started working for us. Maybe she hasn't been able to tell you yet.

Mrs Williams: Well she hasn't. But still why are you here?

Noel: Well.... I'm here to ask for your permission.

Mrs Williams: Permission? Why? and for what?

Noel: Mother! please grant me the permission to marry Sherry.

Mrs Williams: (shocked) What? Mo..mother? Marry? What's this?

Kalvin: Well my boss wants to marry your daughter Miss Sherry Williams. And we've comes to ask for your permission.

Mrs Williams: well has Sherry agreed?

Noel: Well.. about that she hasn't, but Mother once I get your permission, I'll surely be able to make her agree

Mrs Williams: Oh! Okay. Well, as long as Sherry agrees, I'm okay with it.

Noel: Thank you Mom.

Door opens and Terry enters

Terry: Mom! I'm back. (sees Noel and Kalvin) What's going on here?

Noel: Hi! I'm Noel Austin, CEO of SL.

Terry: CEO? what are you doing in our house? Do you get into the wrong place?

Noel: No! I'm here to ask for permission to marry your sister!

Terry: What? What did you just say? Marry? Sherry? Is this some kind of movie or what?

Noel: It Isn't, and I hope that you can support me.

Terry: Of course! Brother-in-law.

Noel:Bro..Brother in law?

Terry: Yes!

Noel:(laughs) Okay! thank you.
