The Fool’s System

“My system is WHAT!?” In this new Earth, fantasy has now become the norm. People gain systems and are given unique abilities to help humans thrive in the new world. On my birthday, the 11th of November at 11:11, I gained my own unique system. The Fool’s system. Are you kidding me? How am I supposed to do anything with that!?

Introduction

200 years ago, in the distant year of 2020, a strange event took place, where fantasy was mixed with reality! Monsters began appearing all over the globe, strange magical metals began to repopulate the mines and, in order to cope with all of this, we were given systems!

The systems were very similar to the ones found in video games and some transmigration novels. The only problem was...

The system you got was completely random!

They could range from the mundane, to the absolutely overpowered or the completely absurd! There were three categories of system and some rare, variant systems.

The first two categories held most of the population, and they were the domestic and combat classes (multiple people could have these systems)! The domestic included classes like chef or alchemist. The combat classes included the swordsman, spearman and even sorcerer! These also included the unique variants, like elemental swordsman or mana blacksmith.

The final category is the unique systems. These systems are only given to one person, and couldn't be categorised in combat or domestic. These systems gave very odd and unique abilities with vastly different goals to complete. These systems rarely appear, and the ones in the past included the deadly sins and holy virtues systems and even the lunatic's system!

Each system has its own way to 'level up' and its own milestones for you to complete in order to obtain skill points for you to purchase various skills and abilities or enhance your attributes in your system.

Also, a system is given on your 18th birthday on the exact moment (down to the minute) that you were born, so it is common for people to memorise that date.

Okay! Thank you for reading! I am writing this novel mainly for entertainment, so I apologise for my poor storytelling. I hope you enjoy!
