Corporate Incursion

June was fuming from the interference created by Liùěr Míhóu. Her tail swung with rage, breaking through the stone pillar within the abandoned Worth Street Station. From what was disclosed to her, aside from the Dark Elf's bodyguard, this would be an easy bounty to collect. Now, however, she had to deal with both The Kapre and The Fake Wukong. The Cobrivite knew she was a tough warrior, yet Liùěr Míhóu was in a league of his own. With that, Malbec took out a communicator she had within her armor. The design of this device was a form of advanced and mythical technology. Quickly, she scrolls through a holographic projection of her clients until coming upon one dubbed as Ryequar. Yet... She was quite hesitant to call this particular client. Ryequar may offer large bounties, yet he truly despises failure. After all, he was one of the strongest warlords in The Jade Realm of Euvis, thanks to his heritage. If she were to pursue this bounty any further, June would need greater earnings with some form of backup.

With a nervous press of the holographic name, June awaited for the Dragon Conqueror to respond. "I hope you are calling to confirm the killing of the witless princess, Malbec." Demanded a booming voice suited for a powerful Warlord.

The Dragon on the other end of the video call was one of Eastern descent, possessing deer antlers shaven into sharp horns. The scales covered Ryequar with a dark brown to a sand color tan. Battle scars adorn his face as well as a deep brown beard. The physique of the warlord was large and opposing as if he could crush your skull into dust with little to no effort. His armor had a Chinese-styled theme while mixing the best of a Knight's and a Samurai's sets of armor. Giving a great defense without sacrificing the use of brute strength he could utilize. Upon his throne, he rested his head upon his arm in a manner to express the impatient demeanor he had regarding waiting for June to complete her assignment.

"After all, I grow weary from waiting to see Princess Revanna's head. Even though I would prefer to just handle this matter personally... The proposal of my Silent Partner has me quite intrigued. Hence why I do not want to keep waiting on you." Declared The Warlord as his eyes narrowed upon Malbec as she looked away from this glare.

"I have run into a bit of a hiccup... You failed to mention that Wukong's Fake would be around to help the princess. If you want me to handle this, I am gonna need a larger payment and reinforcements to address this new development." The Cobrivite bluntly announced as Ryequar readjusted his position on his throne, expressing a bit of surprised shock.

"Neither of us was aware he had resided within Midgard. The Shadow Conjuror is quite elusive about his whereabouts quite often these days..." Ryequar explained as he reevaluated the assassin's situation. "His presence does complicate things for all of us. Expect reinforcements to arrive to assist you in your mission, Ms. Malbec." Ryequar announced as he rose from his throne, tail slamming onto the floor to express his frustration as it nearly shattered the marble titles in a large radius. "Especially when the Human Scums have been capturing more Mythics than normal. That corporation, White Star, has become more of a nuisance as of late." The Warlord added with a snarl.

This detail confused The Snake Ninja as it was not common for any human to find mythic these days. The Divine had made incredible efforts to conceal their presence among Humans due to the threat they came to pose. "How are Humans pulling that off? Thought that wasn't exactly possible anymore... With Events like The Salem Witch Trials, Mythics have upped their game to hide among these vermin." June interjected with clear confusion.

"That is not important for you to know, Snake! Focus on your task and ensure that you are not captured!" Ryequar roared as it caused June to visibly flinch in fear of the Conqueror's rage. With that, the call was cut as June hissed in anger and almost crushed the communicator in her hands.

Meanwhile, a small group of agents adoring The White Star Logo were observing the members within The Ebony Garden Café. Yet, one stood out among the group of agents. He had red bushy hair and wore an armored martial arts uniform. Over his shoulder rested a staff made of unique forms of metals and wood. The Young Man seemed to have traits belonging to a monkey, like sharp teeth, patches of fur underneath his clothing, and a red monkey tail that swayed in interest. He and the other agents had just witnessed the massive surge of Arcane Energy that sparked from the Amulet that one of the members wore. "Guess the human among the crew isn't all human after all, huh?" The Martial Artist chuckled as he smirked with a fang poking out.

"Guess so, Agent Lin Chao..." One of the agents declared openly with a bit of surprise in his voice. "Doesn't that mean that kid would be a bit more dangerous if that gem is shattered?" The agent questioned with visible confusion.

Lin, however, gave a bored expression as he spin the staff in his hand, as if he wasn't bothered by this detail. "Nah. Even IF he found a way to unlock his Mythical Side, there is no way he would know how to control it. Me, on the other hand, I had a few good teachers to master my powers." The Monkey Fighter remarked in a cocky manner.

Though the Agent that was willing to actually talk among the other two let out a small sigh. "Dude... Just because you are half Granimur from that Chinese anime doesn't mean you should underestimate your enemy." The agent advised Lin was a bit irritated by the guy.

"First off, Journey to The West isn't some dumbass anime. It is a mythological story, idiot. Secondly, I am far more capable than any of them!" The Martial Artist declared arrogantly, as if he is asking for the Universe to punish him. With that, he kicks the van's doors open to rush off to capture the people they were after.

The agent shook his head in disbelief before turning to one of the others. "Should we head after him?" He asked as the three clearly didn't want to get involved.

"Look... I joined this department for the dental benefits, Robert... Not to get killed on the first day. Let's wait for things to go south for the brat before we step in." One of the Agents at the computers reasoned as they agreed to this idea.
