Prussia Kingdom

Dimitri was the actual name of the Umbra, and Katie only found out today. All whole of her life, she thought 'Umbra' was a name. Who would have thought that 'Umbra' was a title given by someone?

It's just that Katie still did not know what unique position followed the title of 'Umbra.' She was curious and wanted the answer. But, she focused more on hearing how to get rid of her curse.

"Like I said, there is no way to eliminate it. After all, why do you want to get rid of it?"

"I want to be a singer. Is there a way that I can sing without inviting the animals' reactions?"

"Impossible. Nature reacts according to your mood. Especially when singing, you can't get rid of creatures who are drawn in your voice. After all, why do you want to be a singer? You could get married and..." Charlie's words stopped when he felt a jolt on his feet.

"Married? I'm still fifteen years old and also ... who wants to marry someone like me?"

"But you have ..." again, his words were interrupted because his friend kicked his leg hard.

"What have I done?" Katie asked in confusion and did not know about the small scene under their table. The look on Charlie looked annoyed while Umbra looked calm and relaxed, making Katie confused.

"Can you wait a minute? I want to talk to him first. We need to talk." Charlie whispered the last words to Umbra.

Charlie got to his feet and gave the Umbra an eye's code to follow him. Umbra sighed before telling Katie to sit still while waiting for them.

"You didn't tell her at all? Seriously?" came the accusation in Charlie's tone.

"She doesn't need to know anything important."

"Not important? She was born as Red Queen. Since she was born, she has been engaged to the Prussian throne."

"That's why I brought her here."

"Are you crazy? Are you aware that you are waging a war with the Prussia kingdom? You know very well that the life of a red queen born as a girl is better than being a boy. She could marry a royal member and live comfortably there. Why did you take her away? Her life there is much better than here."

"Not if her future husband is thirty years older."

Charlie's jaw fell over, and his eyes wide open as he couldn't believe what he just heard. The last statement of his best friend managed to silence him. He could not understand why the baby girl from the Tettero family had to be engaged to a man who was much older than her.

"For additional information, he is married and has two children. Do you think her mother will let her daughter marry as a concubine?"

"Why not pair with the king's son?"

"Because she is not from Tettero."

Once again, Charlie widened his eyes almost in disbelief of his best friend's sentence. The Prussia kingdom has lived with the 'Red King' for hundreds of years. If it was a baby boy who born, the king would make him as kingdom weaponry, but if it was a baby girl, the king would marry her off to the crown prince.

In other words, Prussia wanted to monopolize the power of the red king.

In the kingdom of Prussia, four large clans dominated Prussia. The Tettero family, the Vangarians, members of the Prussian empire, and the last one was the Oostven Tribe.

All members of the Oostven tribe were born as warriors. They were able to survive in the middle of the forest and in the ocean. Their power strength exceeds ordinary humans.

They could jump over the roofs of houses and trees like a ninja. The chosen Umbras who guarded the royal member always came from this tribe. Not only the Oostven tribe was famous for their toughness, but their loyalty to the Kingdom of Prussia was undoubted.

Once someone from Oostven was entitled to the name of 'Umbra,' that person could not use his own name again. His life belongs to the 'owner,' and he must do whatever the 'owner' told him to do. If the 'owner' wanted someone to die, the Umbra would kill that person without hesitation. If the 'owner' wanted the Umbra to die, the Umbra must commit suicide right there and then.

Umbra meant shadow. He has no right to argue with or endanger his 'owner.' Since he carried the name 'Umbra,' his life belongs to the 'owner.' In Dimitri's case, his life belonged to Katie.

Charlie also came from the same tribe as Dimitri. He did not like violence or training that he believed it was impossible to do. That's why he went to America and used a new name. He did not care if he went out and was considered a traitor. He also did not care if he would not be able to return to his tribe. Because now he was no longer called Chale of Oostven, but his name was Charlie Wells.

Meanwhile, the 'Red King' baby will always appear among the Vangarians and the Tettero family in turns. And fifteen years ago, it was Tettero's turn to have an amber-eyed baby.

Because of that, Charlie did not understand how Katleen was born outside of the Tettero family. Moreover, he couldn't fathom how Dimitri, his best friend, dared to wage war with the kingdom by kidnapping Katleen.
