Stinky Worm

The sun above seems so big and it somehow looks so bit scary. It's a bit different than the sun in her world. The sand dunes here are also drier than the Sahara desert in her world. The temperature is also slightly hotter than the actual Sahara in her world. To be exact, everything is different!

Her suite doesn't help her at all. She feels so weak right now. Rachael looks at her arm panel, and then she sighs.

"48 Celcius, are you kidding me? This is higher then Sahara." Rachael grunting while still continue to walk. She tries so hard to not drinking the water from the flask Heath gave her. She needs to make sure it can last until she reached the nearest town.

She used to train in Sahara when she's in her world, but with high tech equipment, she can overcome the tough training and get results with little struggles on her side. This time..she totally beaten up when she stranded with not much tech from what Zoro could provide for her. Even though it's quite lucky for her to obtain the suite than nothing at all.

By looking at the dunes and the feels she's so familiar with, she can totally confirm that it is a Sahara desert here. But, which kingdom owned this desert?? What if she's actually been abandoned by that Heath to a foreign land far from the Peridot Kingdom?? Ugh!! This is so stressful.

Zsss Zsss Zsss

"Hm? What's that?" Rachael looks around her. She thought she heard a weird noise. But then it stopped when she stopped.

She looks at her arm panel and starts to choose any weapon from it. She used M4 carbine as an option this time. She slings the M4 carbine rifle on her shoulder and starts to walk again.

She chooses M4 carbine is because it's a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2. It can reduce her strength usage to lift it up and move faster when she's in a hot place like she's at right now with not much energy left with her.

She keeps her mind focus this time. She was sure she heard something before. Something slithering. She walks for another twenty minutes and she heard again the same sound from before.

Zsss Zsss Zsss

Without any delay, she lifts her rifle up to a standby position. She is now had less time to go to the nearest town. With this hot temp, she can't keep staying under the sun for too long either. Her skin will surely burn out by this time. And of course, she doesn't want to suffer great sunburn effect after that too.

The sound keeps coming more clearly and she still hasn't seen anything yet. Not until it was 30 feet far from her. She saw the sand had a fine line that moving toward her.

"No kidding!" She curses and uses her rifle to shoot that thing away.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The movement stop and Rachael smirk a bit. "So easy?"

The moment she averts her eyes, the movement from under the sand starts to become more aggressive and faster than before.

Bam!

The sudden hit shocked Rachael who totally doesn't have a single second to shoot at all. Moreover, the 'thing' already shows up its real figure.

A thick of elastic skin which full of fat and long make Rachael almost faint. It's the version of the Mongolian death worm, but a hundred times bigger than its actual size. It also has thousands of sharp fangs and a huge rounded mouth.

Rachael almost got eaten alive by that worm, however, her rifle save her from getting into that slimy hole. It stuck between one of its fangs and make her hanging in between that worm's mouth and it's stinky slimy stomach

Crack!

"Oh come on!!" Rachael tries to wriggle her wrist and it seems like the worm's saliva is acidic and it starts melting her rifle's body.

Using her finger, she tries to pull the trigger.

Bang! Bang!

"It worked!" She shouts happily, but only for a moment. The skin that had been hit got thicker and the worm somehow got more irritated. It moves aggressively and Rachael got shaken too from inside. Her hand almost lose her grip on her rifle.

"Shit! It makes it angry." Cursing, she tries to lift up her body and touch her arm panel using her left hand.

This time she chooses to use her spear and granite. She set the spear to coated with a layer of epoxy on it. Once the spear starts to forming, she strikes it to the worm's skin below the fang and when the worm grunt and open its mouth, she uses the chance to jump her body out of this giant worm before she throws in the granite inside that worm's stomach.

Click!

Thud!

She lands right near the worm and without wasting any second, she runs as fast as she can and find nearest sand dunes to take cover.

Booommm!!

Splatter-splat!

Like a flesh rain, the worm's figure shattered into small pieces of flesh all over the place.

"That granite…. Z...I must thank you later." She shrieks happily with a thought that it was over.

"Don't be so full of yourself, girl.." Heath suddenly shows up beside her makes her jumps her body in shock.

"Where are you coming from?"

Heath bends his body and took one of the flesh that falls on the sand near them.

"Look at this." He shows it to her and not intending to answer her question at all.

Squinted her eyes a bit, she takes a closer look at the flesh. One second passed until five seconds without any word coming from both of them.

"It..it's.." Rachael stuttering a bit. She wants to say that the flesh looks like it was throbbing like it still alive.

"It's species can regenerate. There." He then throws back the flesh on the ground and it moves like a magnet before all the flesh fragment reattach back. It becomes bigger than before.

She gasps, totally shocks with what she just saw. "How do we kill it?" She looks at him with a serious expression.

"We? No, dear. It's only you who need to kill it." He smirks a bit.

"Wait! You're here right now and you saw I try to kill it first and it didn't work! Why don't you lend your hand and help me here." She tugs her hand on his clothes.

"Hmm..can't do. This is your test." He pulls her hand off his shirt slowly.

"But, I can tell you a secret on how to kill it." He smirks a bit.

"How?" Rachael couldn't care less if this man refuses to help her now. There is no way this cruel man who left her to die at the icy mountain to help her now, is he?

Chuckles, he whispers to her. "You need to forcefully let out your boundary energy to your fist and punch on its weakest point with all you got."

"Hah??"

"Well. That's the only way. If you're lucky, the punch supposed to shattered it into a point that it can't regenerate again." He then opens a portal and leaves her alone with that giant worm that already finishes regenerating its body.

Turn her body around, she looks at the giant worm not far from her.

"Now…let's rematch, you stinky worm." She mutters it slowly and took out her spear again. This time, she intends to attack it with full strength.

"We've arrived." Master Kei said to the man beside him before Zoro pull over the landrover and step out from the car.

In front of the cave's entrance is a bunch of ogres loitering around it. Once they saw their meals, their eyes shine brightly while their saliva dripping from their mouth.

Very unpleasant scenery for Zoro.

"Ugh…yuck." He then took out one of his drawings that he already designed. Without any delay, Kei helps him to make it out from its drawing using his magic.

"Magi..cian…" The ogres who saw Kei use his magic now smile even wider than before. Their lust for the strength by consuming him pop out from their mind.

A clattering sound from the drawing makes Kei scrunch his eyebrow a bit. He notices the ogres have started moving toward their direction and he needs to be ready to fight them all.

"What are you draw this time?" He asks when there's a bunch material that comes out from the drawing and he doesn't even know what the hell is that.

"Oh, you'll love it." Zoro grin as the metal starts sticking into his body before it totally covered his body.

"Yeah, right. I'll go first then." Kei finish put the spell on the drawing and he then cracking his knuckles a bit.

Looking at the bunch of the ugly ogres, he also put on a smile on his face.

"My hands are itching for a battle since long ago."
