CHAPTER 1

Mom! Hurry up, I'm gonna be late!!" Andrea yelled from the limo. She liked being the first to arrive at school, but apparently her mom didn't think the same way.

"I'm coming dear!" Her mom yelled back." You're not that late anyway. And besides, you're part of the Billings family. We always make a flawless and dramatic entrance darling."

"Yeah yeah." Andrea sighed. She sometimes got frustrated with being famous. As much as she loved fame, she got tired of the paparazzi who never seem to get tired of following her and her family. Also, she liked keeping her business to herself. But there's no room for that when your mom's a famous actress and singer.

"Wait! Mom...…..Where's Sam?" She screamed with anger.

"I thought she was with you." Her mom said with a raised eyebrow.

"No she isn't! Ugh! Sammy, we're leaving! Come on out!" Andrea's six year old sister skipped out of the garden with muddy fingers. "Sorry! I was looking for Mr Cuddles." Andrea groaned. She and that her stupid invisible cat, she thought out loud.

"No he isn't!" Samantha cried. "Mom! Tell Andrea that Mr Cuddles is real!"

"Samantha dear, what did I tell you about Muddy fingers?" Her mom changed the subject."Go wash up."

"We're never gonna make it in time!" Andrea whined. "I have a presentation that's worth half of my grade and I'm not willing to throw it away because of a girl with muddy fingers." She glanced at her watch. 9 am on the dot. 15 more minutes to get to school. She still had hope.

"Come on Sammy hurry up!"

"Done!" Samantha sang as she skipped into the car. Andrea sighed happily.

"Alright Dave!" She said to her driver. "Let's roll! James Bond style!" Dave smiled and tilted his hat. "You got it miss." They drove off.

Andrea ran as fast as she could through the halls on her way to class. She couldn't afford to be late. At the British International Private School, discipline was over the top. She hated the idea of being in detention with Mr. Snodgrass and other delinquents in deafening silence. As she kept on running, she didn't even notice her principal walking and then she bumped into him. She let out a frustrated groan.

"Hey can't you watch where you're-"

"And a good morning to you too Miss Billings." Mr. Isaac interrupted. Andrea was shocked and embarrassed.

"M-morning sir. I didn't realize I bumped into YOU." She stuttered and stylishly looked at her watch. 9:12am. GOD DAMMIT! She had only three minutes to get to class. Mr Isaac, unfortunately, wasn't done with her.

"You know very well the penalty for being late Andrea. Don't think that because of your mother's status you can just get away with anything."

"I'm really sorry sir. It won't happen again."

"You've said that twice before. I expect this to be the last." He frowned and walked away. Andrea sighed and raced to her class which was on the third floor of the building. As she arrived at the Hall which led to her class, she skidded to a halt. Yikes! Her teacher, Mrs Benson, was on her way to class. If she saw her, she'd be in big trouble. HUGE TROUBLE!!! At the corner of her eye, Andrea spotted a piece of paper. She smiled and quickly picked up the piece of paper and folded it into a plane. She hid and at the right time, she flew the plane right over her teacher's head!

"Hey! Who did that?!" Mrs Benson yelled and looked behind her and went to pick up the paper plane which landed at the extreme end of the hallway. Andrea quickly used that opportunity to sneak into her class and she slid into her seat and sat down innocently. Right on time.

"Took you long enough." Her best friend, Erin Sapphire, leaned in from her backseat and whispered in her ear. "What happened this time?"

"Muddy fingers." Andrea sighed.

The next moment, Mrs Benson walked into the class, looking mean as always with her cat glasses.

"Morning class. I assume you all have your presentations ready."

============

"So my dad's birthday is coming up." Erin mumbled with potato chips in her mouth. "It's on Friday, but we decided to celebrate it in church because apparently he wants to celebrate with his brothers and sisters in Christ." Erin's father is the famous Reverend James Sapphire who is well known for his miracle working, powerful preaching and ministries all over the world.

"Okay...…So that means you want to invite me to church right?" Andrea asked.

"Well...….I also want you to bake a cake for his present. I really couldn't think of anything better. Your cakes are amazing!" Erin gave Andrea pleading puppy dog eyes.

"What?! But I'm going to be busy with Samantha! I have to babysit because of the night of mom's premiere on Saturday. Remember?"

"We can get all the necessities and you could bake it in church." Erin pleaded. "Please please please do it for dad. Pretty please?" She pouted her lips and Andre sighed.

"Fine. What kind of cake?"

Erin smiled. "A tres leches!" Andrea raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to kill me? I'm still practicing that seriously complicated recipe."

"But it was great when I tasted it last time. BESIDES, you're a genius at stuff like that. What could possibly go wrong?" Andrea huffed. "Alright." Erin clapped.

"Splendid! Now," Erin stood up from the bench to take her leave. "I've been invited to a party at Marla's house tonight. Wanna come?" Andrea shook her head. "No thank you, I've got work to do." Erin groaned. "Dude! YOU'RE 16! You should at least go to one party. ONE!" Andrea sighed. You make friends with a pastor's daughter and you think she'd be an Innocent simpleton. "I don't want to go to a party."

"Fine.Your loss. I have to go prepare. See ya!" Andrea raised an eyebrow.

"But where's your ride?" Erin smiled.

"I told Desmond to meet me at the park because I have a friend waiting for me there." Andrea rolled her eyes.

"What's his name?" Erin gasped.

"Hey! How do you know if it's a boy?"

"I know because you're my best friend and I know you!"

"Okay okay you got me. Just don't get carried away with your studying and research and get ready for Sunday." She smiled and gave Andrea a hug.

"But Andrea...…. At least have one guy that's just a friend so you would at least know more about them! How would you find your special someone?!" Andrea smiled. "Love is patient Erin. I don't need to rush into anything. For now, guys are just mere distractions." Erin scoffed. "When you find your special someone, I'm gonna say I told you so." Andrea just went numb. "That ain't happening. Now run along! You're gonna be late."

"Don't say I didn't warn you! Bye darling bestie." Erin laughed and walked away. Andrea just smiled. Erin was perfect. Her attitude was great, her enthusiasm is contagious and she's the best Best Friend a girl could ever ask for.
