Chapter 1 The end

It was a sunny day

Light that I didn't know would be my last

It didn't take long, sirens heard along the horizon.

Panic heard along the streets

I hurry to get the news, disaster had stricken

June 29 of 3047, it was the last day the blazing sun.

Now I rot away in this underground farm unit, the light down here is artificial, no one has seen the sun in years, except the plain walkers.

It's always the same routine, I would get out of work, ride up the elevator to the 66th floor to get food, the food was bland, never as good as back then.

I'd always return to my room but something was off, the plain walkers were here, with their plasma rifles and full body armor.

The people around me had faces struck with confusion with a slight fear, I probably had the same expression.

I wanted to know, but they only spoke to the sub-level leader.

I tried to leave but there were walkers blocking the elevators.

A fellow farmer 15-67B came in my direction, we were both confused about the sudden appearance. Apparently people miss-printed I.D.s we're being taken to get new ones.

All the farmers had a "B" in their I.D.

I didn't realize then, but this would be the of my normal life.
