Chapter 36 Commissioned by Kriegan

I was just chilling in one of the meeting rooms when Delta literally kicked the door off the hinges and impaled the wall across the room with the enchanted door in her excitement.

"Boss!" Delta cried out excitedly as she all but hopped in place. "Gamma and Beta got the stinky princesses to agree to let us check the school for the Cult of Vaera 'whats it' !" Delta said excitedly but kind of let off some steam at the end as she clearly forgot Vaermina's name.

And honestly, that may be for the best if she was so stupid as to forget the Deadric prince's names... I already worried enough with how much of a simpleton and meathead she was, that Hircine the Deadric Prince of the hunt was going to trick her into a 'true' werewolf. I like my busy Amazon wolf girl with an oversized fluffy tail and ears... That's all the fur I wanted.

But then her words about Gamma and Delta hit my ears and I raised an eyebrow. "Hoh, wasn't I supposed to go talk to them?" I asked with a bit of sarcasm.

But Delta was the one person to not use sarcasm with, as she simply nodded excitedly as she ran over and bent over so I could pat her head for a good job in bringing the news. And even as I indulgently petted Delta's head she answered my sarcastic rhetoric question as though I asked in honest curiosity. "Ooooh that's the spot boss. But Gamma and Beta were talking to the princesses in their underwear so Jake shouldn't have been there... Uhhh Boss?" Delta's head tilted to the side as confusion entered her eyes and she looked up at me a bit as I stood up to go meet the Shadows for the mission to come.

But at Delta's question, I looked to my side as she followed me into the hallways and I simply hummed in a clear go ahead in her question which Delta gratefully did. "So boss, you know how all Beastkin don't wear underwear right?" She questioned and I hesitantly nodded so she excitedly continued even as the other Shadow Garden girls both humans and elves looked at her aghast at her words while the beastkin looked upon her like she was asking the question of the truth of the universe.

"Lady Alpha and all the goddesses say that we cannot let ourselves be seen without our underwear but what if we never wear underwear to begin with?!" She asked grandly as though the answer would solve the world issues like world hunger, strife, and anything else.

And in response, I felt my shadow deepen and with a comical screech of fear Delta shattered the ground as she took off while s a woman with violet hair grew from my shadow and with a speed far greater than Delta's and even more agility when it came to turning at the end of the hallway Scathach just drop kicked Delta into the wall at the end of the hallway rather than bothering to turn like Delta was trying to.

"Teacher, I am going to need Delta today. So don't break her head open like an egg." I drawled as Scathach was beating the stupid Delta over the head literally with a rolled-up newspaper that was magically reinforced so it sounded like she was getting hit over the head with a loud high vibration pipe or something.

And in response, Scathach's crimson bloody eyes matched my blue ones for a moment before she snorted and smiled indulgently. "Haaa... The care a master has for his favored pet." She spoke softly before shrugging and breaking apart into smoke having punished her favorite student for her stupidity.

Oh, Scathach loved and hated Delta... Was in her own words the most talented fighter she had ever seen. But it seems for all the killer instinct she had, she had seemingly never and would never develop common fucking sense. But Scathach cared for her student had taken Delta as a sort of challenge in of itself to teach the wolf girl to not be so careless and... Ignorant.

Either way, I was able to head pat Delta's tears of the pain away from being walloped by the rolled-up enchanted newspaper and bring her to the carriages that were already, ready for my arrival. And within the ornate carriage were my cooperators. The two Princesses of Midgar.

Iris Midgar with her red hair, and Alexia Midgar with her silver hair were sitting in the carriage beside one another with the other side of the carriage having only Beta within it. So seeing the three more intellectual girls I told Delta to go sit up front while I climbed up into the carriage's booth and just as I sat down I heard the carriage's wheels turning as the enchanted carriage was controlled by the driver to travel like a car.

Before anything could be said I looked at Beta and spoke somewhat flatly. "What was the agreement you came to with the princesses?" And to my blunt question Beta wryly smiled and responded awkwardly.

"They promised the artifact of Vaermina, as well as the head priest or priestess being remanded into our custody for destruction." She explained and at my glance at the princesses with them nodding I closed my eyes and took a breath before nodding.

"Alright very well," I said honestly fine with those results, as by the end of the day either the artifact needed to be destroyed and whether it be the Gaia church or by the Midgar authorities I had no doubt they would execute the leader of the cult for trying to sacrifice the entire city for some gods forsaken reason. "But keep this in mind." I said with solemnity in my voice. "These cult members have had their minds and very souls claimed by one of the foulest of the foreign gods coming to invade this world... Not only will these people be able to probably use the magic of that land but they may very well be capable of summoning demons to aid them in the battle." I said thinking of how unlikely it was not for the priest or whoever was running this cult to be unable to call upon Vaermina's dremora.

"How strong are these demons?" Iris asked as she rested her chin on the back of her hand that was clutching her sheathed sword in front of herself and at that question I could only shrug as I wasn't sure.

"They feel pain, but they are immortal beings of energy that should they be killed here in the mortal world they will merely reform in the deadric lands... So make sure you actually kill them and their body breaks apart into the aether before you move on." I advised and my warning was an important one as I saw Iris nod seriously as she herself could imagine herself running some monster through the chest and leaving it be and getting stabbed in the back.

And so we shared strategies and such for the forces we could possibly meet for the short twenty-minute ride through the city as the carriage took us to the Mage Knight school of Midgar.
