Not a Fun Room

"Are you new here kid? Velp, that's our currency here in the tree. We used to accept gold but there's no way to make more so we stopped." Said the lady behind the counter.

"Is there any place I can stay for free? Also, is there some way I can get velp?" I asked. The woman looked as if she was thinking to herself.

"You can sleep in the stables, but you'll have to be with the horses and other mounts. To get velp you can rather kill monsters, do quests, or work in buildings like these. Do you have any other questions?" Asked the lady.

I shook my head and walked off, making sure to grab my gold pouch. As I walked towards the door I felt someone grab my arm, I turned around to see who it was and saw that it was Alice.

"So you're completely broke huh? Alright, I'll pay for you this one time. How much extra did the girl say for the dog, two hundred?" Asked Alice, reaching into her bag.

Alice pulled out a pouch full of velp on put it on the counter. The lady behind the counter looked at it for a moment until taking it and giving Alice the keys.

"Come on guys, I'll lead you to your rooms. We'll be sleeping in other rooms though for... reasons." Said Alice.

Alice walked towards the stairs and began to walk up them, I followed her alongside Fang, Steven, and Emma.

After reaching the top of the stairs we were met with a hallway full of doors on each side. Alice kept walking forwards until she stopped right in front of a door.

"John and Steven, you'll be staying in this room. Hope you guys sleep well." Said Alice. She walked up to Emma and brought her to the room they were staying.

"She didn't say my name... I know I'm a new addition to the team but you'd think she'd remember me." Said Fang with a quiet voice.

I let out a small laugh and walked towards the door, taking the key Alice left in the door. When I opened the door I was met with a destroyed room and substances that I'd rather not get into details of.

"Don't touch the sheets, god knows what'll happen if you do." I said to everyone. Steven gave me a funny look for a moment, after a while he stopped and threw his bag in the corner of the room.

"Yeah no, I'd rather not be in a room like this. I'd rather sleep in the stables then sleep in this destroyed room with substances I'd rather not talk about." I said.

I grabbed Stevens arm and pulled him out of the room. I entered the room again and grabbed his bag, when I left the room he was giving me a puzzled look again.

"Come on let's go, I'm going to return the keys and we'll stay in the stables." I said. I walked down the stairs and went right to the counter. I looked right at her and slammed the keys onto the counter.

"So will you be staying in the stables?" She asked. I nodded and left the building with Fang and Steven.

"I hope Alice and Emma's room were nicer than ours was."
