Seriously this book is so good! Plenty of drama, but the main couple is refreshingly hastle free. They actually communicate honestly with each other and there's no anxiety-inducing misunderstandings or games. Honestly it's so good that I bought privilege today even though it's the 30th of the month. (Okay so maybe the steamy bits had a lot to do with my impatience, but still!)
I have loved every minute of reading this story! One thing I cannot compliment the author on enough is how the ML and FL are strong characters independent of the other! While I (naturally) love to read their witty engagements as a couple, I also love to follow the individuals as they navigate conflict.
I’ve read this book 3 times now and it’s easily My favorite book on this platform. The character development and growth are perfection. The characters are flawed and very human. I love how the usual tropes are missing from this book and the challenges the main characters face are different from what you’d usually see. The romance is perfection, the friendships are fantastic, and the pacing is just right. I struggle to find genuine plot holes and things to nit pick at. Bravo author, thank you for a wonderful book!
This is a great novel. I love how Edgar was always supportive and protective of Alessandra. Its good that Pricsilla came around, it's just a pity Timothy died, and because of that I'd think that some people from Edgar's army might not accept that, if only Timothy was just injured, that'd be more acceptable.Kate never came around, and still lived her life in a normal house with food and all. Well several days with Simon can't compare with a life Alessandra experienced in the Barrets house. She was scarred, but how do we know that she wasn't given a scar cream when she was at the royal doctor's house?! since she was treated there. also, Simon's property, money, and whatever he had should've been split equally between all of his victims families. I understand it doesn't equal to someone's life, but I find it unfair that Kate inherited all of that. I also dont accept Melanie, the woman just doesn't care, and never regretted despite knowing that Desmond will break Alessandra, still she just ran away, forgot the daughter she had, and instead raised someone else's son plus 2 daughters she gave birth to. At this point, Katrina was a better mother, she fought tooth and nail for her daughter, to give her everything, though I hate the woman for how she treated all the other people, I can't not recognize her actions towards her daughter.I wouldn't forgive Melanie, I also wouldn't be all nice and chatty with her 2 daughters. Yeah, the girls had nothing to do with their mother's actions, still I'd be cordial, but still keep my distance. I didn't like how Alessandra was forcing Edgar to accept her sister being her children's tutor. I'd be nice, might help them here and there a little, might encourage them to go for their dreams, but still kept a distance, I wouldn't promise smth like to be a tutor to my child. You don't even know how she will turn out to be as a turor, but with the promise, there is a possibility for future arguments, which I'd prefer to stay away from. I'm as petty as Edgar, I would never be able to talk to that mother, and accept her new family like there is nothing wrong. Because seeing the relationship my mother has with my sisters and vice versa, I'd feel myself as someone never cared for, forgotten, and not deserving to be loved. Maybe even fell myself being hated. Her mother's excuse doesn't work for me, 1st she married Desmond herself, 2nd if she didn't want the baby she should have just drank those herbs to keep herself from getting pregnant. For 17 years she didn't care about her daughter, and Alessandra should also just let it go and forget about her. That's why I think that sometimes Alessandra was contradicting herself, she said she wouldn't care about her mother if she didn't care about her, but why at the end it seemed like there was an opening for a reconciliation?! I also didn't like Rose's behavior, Edmund's actions towards his wife. I'd like to know what in the end happened to Sally and Caleb. All of these ⬆️ are just my frustration points. But all in all, this was a very good and enjoyable read. Ml and Fls interactions were full of tease, fun, and love.
I instantly got hooked reading this novel. Because, every chapter has a turning point with very minimal character introduction in every chapter that some novels have, novels which keeps on repeating each characters personality, background and history in every other chapter just to prolong the book they have written. Keeping each chapter and character alive without too much drama. The plot of the story is unpredictable and there is a feel of suspense that will make you want to stick in reading the novel. Kudos to writer/author for a job well done. 👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍
