Dream or Past?

"Theo, can you cast your magic again!?"

A shout made the man named Theo turn his head towards the leader. His body was already weakened, he wasn't sure he could hold on any longer or cast his magic. But the voice filled with worry made it impossible for him to say it.

He chose to nod, opening his magic book again in hopes that this would help the man. But before that, his gaze fell on the figure of the girl who looked painfully behind him. The girl with the silver mane covered her eyes with her body full of vegetation and wounds.

If only there was no risk from using magic, then they wouldn't be in pain like this. Let alone that girl, the girl who could only stand behind them. He was the one who often felt excruciating pain, the healing power was just a nightmare for the girl.

And he was really worried about the girl's figure, even though he knew he couldn't even describe the pain he was receiving from using this magic book too much.

They are pathetic! One magic they cast, they have to pay for it, no matter how small the form of magic they still have to pay.

"Don't be crazy, Theo! Your body can't take the risk of your magic anymore!" a voice from the front startled Theo, staring at the black-haired man who was looking at him with concern.

"You too Irvin! Do you want Theo to die!" said the man again staring intently at the figure of the blue-haired man who looked busy on the bow in his hand.

"Death is a common thing, why should I think about such insignificant things!"

The black-haired man couldn't believe it, his hands clenched into fists. He gripped the sword in his hand so tightly that he immediately pointed the sword at Irvin's neck. He doesn't care anymore! A selfish man like Irvin doesn't deserve to be their leader.

How could that man let his teammates die just because of his selfishness like that? He will not let anyone die here, even if he has to go against Irvin's orders then he will do so that none of his friends die.

"Theo just open teleportation magic! We'll get out of here! And if you don't want to come along then fine! I don't care!" said the man again making the man with the blond hair immediately approach the girl behind them.

Supporting the girl's body until he saw Theo who was busy opening his magic book. Looking for a spell he could use to unlock teleportation magic, as he also didn't want the others to die just as Damian thought.

Not long after, the teleportation magic opened and the blonde-haired man entered first, then followed by Damian who helped Theo to get up "now if you want to die here it's up to you! But don't expect you to be able to take them to die with you!" Damian shouted making Irvin growl in anger.

He immediately raised his bow and released it right at Damian's heart. Theo was taken aback, his body intended to push Damian away but he was too late. Damian was hit first by an arrow from Irvin making his body freeze.

Blood started seeping from Damian's chest, Theo shouted the man's name. But there was nothing but futility with Damian's death which made the man angry. But the vegetation that spread from within the teleportation magic took Theo by surprise, it was the magic of the girl with the silver hair.

"I... I still can!" said the girl with her head visible between the teleportation doors.

The girl fell and started coughing up blood making the blonde-haired man worried, intending to stop the girl but the girl did it anyway. She didn't want to see Damian die, and his gaze fell on Irvin immediately.

"You murderer!!" his gaze was a condition of crushing feelings, she didn't like this. If it wasn't for them being the chosen one perhaps their destiny wouldn't be this cruel.

But, in reality, they had to be in this place to save this world. Is it real, that those who live like normal humans end up becoming heroes for the world they were born into?

They don't have the strength to fight but I don't know when that power started to appear until they are in this position. Tired of each other and want to survive on the game of fate that binds them.

But all they can do is follow all that destiny until they forget their respective promises. The promise that they would come back alive unharmed, but now and now. Death comes, not because of the enemies but because of themselves.

That selfishness made them forget themselves, if only she could survive she would save Damian no matter what. But will there be hope?

"Ca--therine..."

The girl was surprised, looking at Damian who seemed to be trying to open his eyes. Even though the man had coughed up blood but he was still trying to tell him something. She wasn't much different either, so who exactly was to be saved?

"Th-at's en--ough. I'm fi--ne" Damian said again trying to raise his hand to touch the side of the girl's face.

"Do n--ot die!" the man continued before closing his eyes with his hands falling on the ground causing Catherine to scream.

"No! Damian! Hang on!!!"

The blonde-haired man chose to touch Catherine's shoulder with his eyes closed. Can't believe that death came to them at this time. Is there no hope anymore, why do they have to be like this?

If only they could change the future, maybe they wouldn't have to die. And Theo immediately took Damian's sword, stared at the sword before he threw the sword with his magic at Irvin.

"This is revenge for Damian's death!" shouted Theo just as the sword hit Irvin's shoulder.

The blue-haired man remained silent, not intending to dodge at all. It was as if he did intend to atone for Damian's death with his own. The man smiled faintly with blood starting to ooze from the wound on his shoulder.

Until he fell to the ground, staring at the others with guilt. Intending to say a sentence of apology but he died first, not knowing that one of them was smiling lopsidedly at all that was happening right now.

And what happened next was the death of all of them.

"Hah.. hah.. hah.. this is a dream!" shock Damian opened his eyes wide in surprise.
