------------------------------------------------------------

''Err... Sensei... ?!'' Shouted Mera Chisato, as the tray in her hands ended up falling to the ground.

''Student Chisato.'' Yato commented briefly.

''... S- sensei, it's not what you're thinking.'' Mera said stuttering.

''From what I'm seeing and thinking, Student Chisato... keep up the good work.'' Saying that, he continued, ''Chisato-san, could you meet us and take us to an empty table?''

"Err... wait! Isn't Sensei going to say anything? Pk academy strictly forbids students to work, won't Sensei report me?'' asked Mera. If Kamiya-sensei reports her to the school, she would have to resign from her current job.

''No, I won't. You must be working hard to take care of your sick mother and your three little brothers. I would just be an asshole to do that.'' Yato replied.

Yato could be many things, but he was not a liar.

"Then just do the hard work." Yato encouraged Mera.

''Yes Sensei! I will work hard!". exclaimed Mera.

Chisato! Stop talking and take the dear customers to an empty table!'' exclaimed a male voice.

''Right away, Manager!'' Mera answered back.

''Ah! Saiki-san! Were you here too?'' said Mera, she hadn't noticed Naomi until now. [ I hadn't noticed Saiki-san until now, I guess that was too rude to her... ]

'Really Chisato-san, good job at ignoring me until now.' Thought Naomi, then she nodded and said via telepathy, ''Yes I was, after all this place sells makes a good coffee jelly.''

''Saki-san really likes coffee jelly.'' Mera laughed.

''Umu.'' Naomi said shaking her head fiercely.

Leading Naomi and Yato to an empty table, Mera handed the two of them the menu and then she said, ''Dear customers, when you are done choosing, please call me.

"Hm... I will.'' Yato replied.

As expected, Naomi immediately ordered coffee gelatin accompanied by a cup of coffee.

''Then I'll have the same as Naomi,'' Yato ordered.

Mera had thought it strange from the beginning, but now she was sure. [ Kamiya-sensei and Saki-san are in a forbidden relationship ]

'No, we're not.' That was what Naomi wanted to say...

''Kamiya-sensei, I don't know if this might be too intrusive, but is Sensei is Saiki-san in a forbidden teacher-student relationship?'' asked Mera.

''No/No.'' The two had answered simultaneously.

''Eh? No?'' Mera was surprised. [ Why are they walking together then? Kamiya-sensei even called her by her first name. Anyway, it would be rude of me to keep asking that sensei was so good to me. ]

'That's right, don't ask anything.' Naomi thought, celebrating her victory.

''Two coffee jellies and two hot coffees, dear customers...'' Mera asked, changing the subject.

''Hm, yes, that's all for now.'' Answered Yato, perhaps he would end up ordering something else.

''That's all for now.'' Naomi replied telepathically, already wondering if her wallet could afford the next coffee jellies.

''You got it,'' Mera said.

..

''How did you know about her sick mother and her three little brothers?'' asked Naomi.

''She wrote about it in the essay I ordered. Of all the people who wrote about her, she was one of the only ones who didn't displease me.'' Yato replied.

''Were you disappointed because of the essay? What could anyone write that would make you so disappointed?'' Naomi said. It couldn't be that bad, right?

''Why would anyone want to be a wife and take it as a job...plus this person kept writing that they were a perfect girl. It was depressing to read that. Yato replied.

'That person is definitely Teruhashi-san.' thought Naomi. She didn't know any person as snobbish and narcissistic as Teruhashi.

''How can anyone want to be the first person to step into the sun, and why does he think that during the night the sun will cool down?'' Yato grumbled.

''Let me guess, Nendou,'' Naomi said.

Yato nodded in confirmation, ''That's right.'' He said.

''Dear customers, here it is. Two gelatin coffees and two cups of coffee.'' Came Mera delivering Yato and Naomi's order.

"Thank you." He thanked Yato as he took his share.

"Thank you." Said Naomi thanking him telepathically.

Soon the two began to eat, as soon as Naomi took her first bite, she made an expression of pure satisfaction as she closed her eyes to minimally enjoy the taste of the coffee jelly.

''Do you really like it that much?'' Yato said.

''Mm? They're super delicious and they never get stale and the taste is super delicious." Naomi replied.

''Hm... Naomi?" said Yato.

Stopping for a moment, she looked at Yato and said, ''Did something happen, Yato?

''I need your help.'' Yato replied.

Stopping eating her jam for a moment, Naomi stared at Yato before answering, ''My help? Does an all powerful being like you still need someone's help?

''I can use mind control if you're going to refuse.'' Yato said.

''... I'll listen to what you have to say.'' Naomi commented.

''So, it all started earlier...''

Yato began to summarize what happened while he was in the teachers' lounge.

''... Long story short, you made a bet with Shima-sensei. If you lost the bet, you would go on a date with her, and if you won, Shima-sensei would have to stop bothering you.'' said Naomi, she continued, ''is you and Shima-sensei used the students as a betting currency.''

''Yes, I just need someone who can make it to the top 10 highest grades in the second year.'' Yato said.

''I think it's easier if you agree to go on a date.'' Answered Naomi taking a sip of her coffee.

''I'd rather die.'' Said Yato, wilting.

''Is it really that bad to go out with her?'' asked Naomi.

''I'd rather walk naked all over the city.'' Answered Yato with a dead look on his face.

''... You're going to be arrested.'' Naomi said.

''Naomi-Emon, could you help me with this? I'll buy you as many coffee jellies as you want.'' asked Yato.

''Done!'' exclaimed Naomi. As many coffee jellies as she wants? That was a great offer to refuse.

''That's easy.'' thought Yato.

''Is it okay to do that? You won't be able to keep your average grades in all your subjects anymore.'' Yato asked.

''Mm, it's almost the end of the year anyway... I'll become a third year student in just two weeks, simply getting better grades now wouldn't make any difference.'' Explained Naomi, she continued, ''But, you'll have to pay me for my coffee jellies.''

"Done." said Yato. Extending his hand to finalize the deal.

"Done." Answered Naomi, extended her hand and shook Yato's hand closing the deal between they.
