Chapter 28

After completing their last of training under Robin, the three fish-men and Robin decided to plan out their subterfuge in Mary Geoise. Robin personally had no idea about the place, but luckily the other knew someone who knew someone that could help. Hody quickly went to get that person, while Hody was away Robin told the other two that their primary aim would be to free the slaves and if possible gather intelligence about poneglyph and any other relevant matter and under no circumstances must they engage in long drawn out battle, as the enemy will have home ground advantage. In short they were there only to test the waters.

Soon Hody arrived along with him came another teen, he was an octopus fish-man. Hody spoke " This is Hatchan, we call him Hachi, he once saved a guy who coats the ships , almost all of the ships that come here are coated by him. He should know more about Mary Geoise."

The octopus man looked at Robin then asked Hody " I thought you said you were going to introduce me to a strong human, where is he ? All I see is a little girl."

Before the other three could respond Robin started to laugh, she said " What an honest and straight forward fellow. Well then Hachi, what does strength have to do with age ? Regardless of whether I am strong or not we want to meet this person who you are friends with. Could you take us to him ?"

Hatchan who was pondering over the question Robin asked silently nodded. "Well then it's settled let's set out tomorrow, so where does this person stay?"

" He stays in Grove number 13 in Sabaody Archipelago. Don't worry I have visited him a number of times so I can guide you there without a problem."

So the 4 of them separated to prepare for the next day. The three fish-men soon realized a big problem, they did not have any means of transportation to reach the surface. In all their planning they completely forgot about this, while the three went to look for any salvageable ships in the ship graveyard, Robin went to the cafe to bid farewell to her mermaid big sisters.

Soon the next day arrived and the five of them met in the sea forest. Out of the five only two looked well rested while the other three hadnt had an ounce of sleep as they were busy arranging for a ship. Robin laughed and without even looking at the ship she summoned Squirt. The other four looking at a massive sea king coming towards them were initially scared only after Robin told them it was her friend and their mode of transport did they first calm down and then started to panic again as none of them had ever ridden on a sea king before.

Only when they entered Squirt's shell did they calm down and then wondered how Robin had manged to tame such a Sea king, in their eyes Robin had gone from respected to worshiped status. Their trip to the Archipelago was largely uneventful except for a few sea kings attacking Squirt for invading their territory only to become Squirt and Robin's meal. The three of them did not have any more brains to be blown and just accepted that their Goddess can do anything she wanted. But Hachi, who now had witnessed Robin strength was arguing with his friends as to why they did not even invite him for the training, after all in this world who did not desire strength.

When they were about to surface they decided to swim to Sabaody from a distance as they did not want to alert the world government spies. Although the fishmen knew the obvious weakness of any devil fruit user, the sea water, seeing Robin swim without any apparent weakness they just accepted it as yet another miracle that their goddess had performed. They inconspicuously arrived at grove number 13, Hachi led them to a building that said " Shakky's Rip-off Bar".

They were greeted by a relatively slim and tall woman with short black hair, with two tufts pointing upwards and was smoking a cigarette, the bar itself was empty, this did not surprise Robin too much as with a name like that who would willingly want to get ripped off their hard earned bellies.

" Good to see you again Hatchan" the lady said and continued while looking and the four behind Hachi, " So you brought friends along this time is it? looks like you made a human friend too, so is she your girlfriend ?" Hachi blushed hearing her question and said " No she isnt my girlfriend , I only met her yesterday, while the other three are indeed my friends and the four of them wanted to meet Rayleigh-san as they wanted to ask him something"

Hearing the name Rayleigh Robin's ears perked up but then thought there is no way the person who she was thinking of would make a living coating ships right under the noses of his enemies and just that the person who Hachi knew and the person who she was thinking about must be two different people. But before she could dispel her thoughts , a man who looked exactly like the person whose bounty posters she had seen before appeared. He was blonde , he had a scar over his right eye, he was also wearing round glasses and dressed in a very simple attire. Robin was stunned as she knew exactly who he was, he was the former first mate of the crew that conquered the seas, he was the first mate of the King of Pirates, Gol D. Roger, he was "the dark king" Silvers Rayleigh.

Authors notes

First of all sorry for not posting anything past two days. I needed to get my mindset in order.

I started to write this as a means to improve my grasp on English, and to describe what I am imagining, this will result in a slower paced novel. Instead of trying to copy others I shall stick to my own style.

In the past two days I sat down and made a time line of events that will happen and the number of chapters that I need to write in to hit those marks.

So now I have a destination and goals set to hit the check points that along the path to destination.

So yeah I am not going to experiment around as I stated in the previous chapter and continue in a pace that I like.

Once again thank you for making me realize, I need to do it my way rather than try to emulate someone else.
