Chapter Forty Three

The demon Lord startled awake, a light sheen of sweat and other fluids covered his body. The moans and whimpers still bounced around his head.

"Damn it, I'm going to lose my mind with these dreams." Damien rolled out of bed and went straight for the shower.

He smoothed his hair back as the scorching water ran down his body taking away the evidence produced by his active mind. Damien growled as flashes of last night's dream came forth. Images coupled with the real encounters with Rina sent his body into a heated rage.

The demon Lord switched the water temperature to cold. He jerked at the frigid water sprayed over his sensitive body, his thick rod deflated. He let it continue to pour over his body until his skin felt numb.

-O-

"Come on mom!"

After a quick breakfast Nathaniel ran towards the training center. He was excited to show his mother what he had learned. She had seen a bit of his training before Damien decided to swipe her off her feet and run to his room.

Rina found out later Damien assigned one of the soldiers to Nathaniel, he would train Nathaniel in the areas needed and give him a daily report.

Again, Rina felt conflicting emotions run through her. Nathaniel was a smart boy but he was still just that, a little boy. She originally hesitated when Kacien wanted to train him but eventually gave in. But this was different, these were adult demons training her son.

She wasn't sure how comfortable she would be with the training set up. Until she stayed for a full training session she knew her worries wouldn't go away. Rina sighed and jogged after Nathaniel, she heard the doors slam open before she turned the corner.

She quickly followed her ball of energy to the wood training swords.

"Mom, check this out!"

Nathaniel grabbed one of the short training swords that fit his size and reach better. He began to go through a familiar formation with additional styles she hadn't seen before. Rina clapped once he finished.

"Wow that was great, I saw the new moves you added in there."

"Really, you noticed that?!"

"How could I not? You know I worried, when you train with your uncle. I have all those moves right up here." she tapped her temple.

Both mother and son turned towards the sound of swinging doors.

"Mom, that's my trainer." Nathaniel ran towards him.

Nathaniel continued to animatedly speak and wave his stick around as they walked towards her. The male demon was tall just shy of six feet. His brown hair and eyes were ordinary, but his form was another story.

One look would tell you he spent countless hours in the gym, or training in combative forms. They finally stood before her.

"My lady," he greeted bowing his head.

"Hello," Rina reached forward to shake his hand but the soldier hesitated and took a small step back. She blinked at the strange behavior but said nothing about it.

"What's your name?"

"Ronaldo, my Lady."

"Nice to meet you, my name is Laurina but you can call me Rina for short."

"Of course,"

"Come on, I want to start training again. Yesterday was so cool." Nathaniel threw his hands up and swung them around.

Nathaniel dragged Ronaldo towards the center. Rina giggled at the sight. A hulking figure towering over her son and being dragged away by his small hands. She sat by a long backless bench near the exit.

The training began in slow form that eventually picked up. Rina eventually felt comfortable by what she saw, Ronaldo was very stern but careful in showing her son how to execute a final strike. They began a light spar, Rina walked towards the wood training sword and picked one up.

The weight surprised her, it was well over ten pounds. She lifted a longer training stick and it felt twice as heavy. Her gaze turned back to her innocent boy, who waved around his sword like it weighed nothing. It was the perfect tool to use, as the training sword became heavier. His strikes from a normal blade would be infinitely faster.

Her legs led her over to the center of the wall of weapons. She came upon a familiar set of dual short blades. Her previous conversation with Damien came forward. Rina traced the carved sheath before she picked one blade up.

The pounding of wooden swords against the other stopped, Rina turned to see what changed. Another male demon stepped inside, but he looked much different than all the soldiers she had seen. He resembled more Damien than any other male she had previously seen.

His silver hair and golden eyes was a dead giveaway, he must be a part of Damien's clan. But who was he?

His long silver hair was tied up in a high ponytail. His body was slightly over muscular, Rina shivered. She could feel the demonic aura rolling off of him. Damien never did this, his control allowed him to move seamlessly without notice. He was quiet and deadly while the demon before her screamed for attention but was not to be trifled with either.

It was another reason she was hesitant to come to such a large home. There were so many people here, so many faces she didn't know or failed to remember. It was something that left her deeply insecure about her surroundings.

Rina clipped the sheathed blade she was holding to the edge of her mid waist side pocket. She had no idea who this man was and he was walking towards her son.

"My Lord." Renaldo greeted.

She didn't care If he was a Lord of whatever. She would not allow him near her son without knowing who he was first. Rina spread her aura as she managed to step in front of her son before the male reached him.

He froze mid step as if surprised by her presence, he was so focused on Nathaniel he hadn't noticed her. Her aura radiated around her as freely as his did.

Her hand slipped close to the sheathed blade clipped to her side. She made no move to touch it but should the need arise she was prepared to counter anything coming her way.

"I don't believe we've met." Rina said.

Nathaniel remained behind her not understanding what was going on. But he very much understood once his mother unleashed her powers he was to follow her every move. Though that didn't stop him from scrunching his nose to sniff out the newcomer.

His scent seemed familiar yet he had never met the demon before. His curiosity peeked but he did not dare move away from his mother to satisfy his questions.

The silver haired male tense form relaxed. His golden irises trailed down her neck, then a huge grin formed at the sight. The untamed aura radiating from him pulled retreated. It simmered down to the controlled level she was used to, the way Damien contained himself.

"My name is Malcolm, and I believe the little one behind you is my grandson and you're my daughter in-law."

The words hit her like a ton of bricks. She was staring at Damien's father, they held similar features. But his were more rough around the edges like Tristen. The thought of his second son made her cringe. She began to see more similarities between the two, her distaste for the male before grew just a bit. Rina didn't know him but if they're attitudes were anything alike, she wasn't sure how she would take it.

Damien's features were more refined and smooth, given how godly he looked she could only imagine what his mother looked like. He was the complete opposite of both male demons. emotionally, her mate was more reserved and closed off while the one standing before her was immediately expressive.

But she still felt a little unsettled, Rina had yet to step away from Nathaniel.

"Sorry if my reaction is a bit much, but I was not informed you would be visiting." Rina said.

Her voice was calm as she spoke. She made sure the discomfort she felt in his presence did not show. Her aura simmered just under the surface ready to attack should the need arise. The sudden thought of attack took her by surprise. Her thoughts had taken a dark and violent turn simply due to the presence of an unknown male. But now she know and still her instincts wouldn't let her back down.

"Apologies, my son doesn't know I'm here either. Think of it as a surprise."

"Well maybe we should head back inside and see Damien."

Rina was very familiar with Malcolm's position in Damien's life. She didn't know all the details but she knew enough. He left Damien's mother for another. She didn't need to look any further to know the father of her son might not be alright with him here.

The doors behind Malcom burst open revealing a stoic Lord. Damien's eyes narrowed at the sight of them, then they focused solely on the silver haired demon standing in front of his mate.

Thank you for the support everyone!

Rina has finally meet the previous demon Lord...the father in-law. I wonder how this will pan out.
