Chapter Seven: Tournament

A stadium was full of people looking at a man on a stone platform. "Welcome, to the tournament of decks. Well, you all already know the rules. Now, let's get the contestants out. Now welcome Team One!!!" The man said into a microphone smiling as a group of ten people came out an entire to the platform. 6 of them have black hair and one with blonde hair, another with red hair, another with pink hair, and another with blue hair. Three were girls and the rest were boys. " Please, Team Two!!!" The announcer yelled. As another group of ten with the same color hair and hairstyles came out of a different entire to the platform. 3 were girls and the rest guys.

The announcer announced six more groups to came out One had all-girls, another had all boys and the rest pretty divided. " Now please Team nine came out." The announcer said as energetic as the first contestants. The first to come out is Orion, followed by Ann, Dexter, Emily, Mike, Nick, Matteo, Kate, Robby, and Biru. They all had a smile on there face. "Well, these are the contestants preparing in the first round of the tournament. We have another team preparing in the second round of the tournament who sadly couldn't make it to the first round because of unforeseen events. The first round of the tournament is a battle royale the last five teams left can move on to the second round. Remember, killings allowed now let the first round commence." The announcer said as the stone platform started to open making the contestants fall into a large forest. "In the forest of the undead."

The cowards of people in the stands of the stadium looked astonished as they looked into a distorted hole. " Before you start rubbing your eyes let me explain. It's a transdimensional portal. It's is the newest invention made by spirit corp. a combination of both technology and spiritual energy. This invention can replace psychics haven't to cast a portal to go between worlds and are a lot faster than waiting for a psychic to make a connection between worlds or places in the world." The announcer said smiling. "This monitor is showing there every move so don't worry if you think you are going to miss the action." He said pointing two large screens opposite each other.

Somewhere in the forest. Orion and everyone else in the team.

"Well, first let's do a headcount," Orion said gaining his composure.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. If we include me so Biru is the only one not here. Well, I guess it's good that he was lost instead of one of the defenseless ones." Orion said.

" Who defenseless only one who can't fight is Robby and the only reason why he doesn't fight is that he has spiritual energy that specializes in healing," Kate said looking annoyed.

"Well, who cares. We need to find Biru the more the better..." Orion said realizing someone is watching them. Then a shadow leaped out of the tree towards Orion. Orion closed his eyes then as that happens blue water waves like substance covered his hand. Orion opens his eyes throwing his hand into a grabbing like motion as a large lion head construct coming from his hand grabbed the shadow crashing it with its teeth. The shadow shattered. "It's a construct to find the user now," Orion said as the lion head disappear. Everyone spilled up looking for the user. But, they don't realize that they were falling into another team's trap. As nine other people followed everyone.

Crap, I don't expect that Orion of the beast-tamers would be here. I can't fight him he has the power of a spirit beast. I can create shadow constructs but, he can make constructs too. Maybe he can make constructs no. He made that by concentration meaning he learn how to make constructs. Only the most skilled of psychic can learn how to do techniques that are notability, so he has the upper hand. He knows my ability before I know his, crap. A man thought as he ran around Orion in the tree trying not to be seen.

I just use a lot of energy in that attack. I need to practice more with constructs. I thought using my beast energy would be easier on me but, I guess not. I can barely stand. No less sense the shadow-user. I can't allow myself to lose. Orion thought, trying to see the user.

As a shadow ball flow towards Orion suddenly. Orion dodged jumping into the trees where the ball came from. Orion saw the man jumping to another tree. He went after him. As the man jumped from tree to tree. Orion started to prepare for an attack. Orion moved his hand in a circular pattern as a blue trial followed. Then Orion crossed his arms. Suddenly Orion was passed the man and a trail of water behind him. "Hyo no hiyaku," Orion said putting his hand in a resting position. The man's body was cut in half. Orion had a look of sadness. "Well, 39 more to go," Orion said faintly.

In the stadium.

" We have our first death in this competition. By the beast-user Orion." The announcer said shooked. The cowards start to go cheering for Orion.

Somewhere else in the forest.

I hope they are doing well without me. I need to do something before I regroup with them. Biru thought as an announcement came on. "The first death is by Orion." A voice inside of everyone's head said.

" Well, I have nothing to worry about," Biru said hearing a sound of a grasp from behind him. " Well, I guess someone found me. I'm not here to fight. I'm heard to talk." Biru said with a smile on his face.
