Chapter 8

Leon wakes up and recalls the previous year "oh receiving all these sudden memories are giving me a headache and I don't know when it'll stop" "I have a way to fix that" he heard Brunhild say so he turned around only to be met with a kiss Brunhild than pulled away "does that help any" Leon then stutter out "yeah" Brunhild then got out of bed "great now let's get dressed" Leon then got out of bed and the two got dressed. The two stepped out their room to be met by Serna the royal governor she wore a red dress on top of her pale skin she also had yellow eyes that matched her hair who than walked with them "my lords you have a meeting with the Slitheren royalty tomorrow and the carriage will be here after dinner but before that you'll have a meeting with the nobles about the change of royal family today will be a rather simple day your parents will deal with the rest of the issues involving the kingdom" Brunhild then spoke to her "will they deal with the first GreyFall parade too" Serna then told her "no that will happen after your return for Slitheren my lord, the whole royal family will be there for the parade" Leon then spoke up "I'm guessing that will be the same for the alliance parade next month" Serna then shuffled through her papers "yes my lord also the GreyFall parade will be two weeks before that" Brunhild then gave her a skeptical look "and why is that" Serna then pulled out a paper and showed them a flyer "the Slitheren royal family is holding the slither ball and they requested that you personally attend since only your parents attended last year" Leon then sighed "it's because of sofie she still can't accept the fact I'm married" Brunhild then lightly giggled "oh I'll help her accept it" Leon then told her "you know your laugh is a little scary" she then faced him with a frightening smile "what was that dear" Leon then looked forward "nothing honey" he said in a shaking tone "great that's what I thought" she said as she skipped forward Serna then patted Leon on the back "I'm sorry she wears the pants" she said as she laughed Leon then glared at her "laundry duty" she then shut up "that's what I thought" Leon said as he laughed and she glared at him then the two caught up with Brunhild and they entered the dining hall where the queen and king were eating with the rest of the council Leon then asked his mother "is there anyway if we can skip the slither ball" she smiled at him "and why would you want to do that sweetie" "I have a feeling Brunhild might kill sofie" he responded "what was that dear" Brunhild said why giving him a deathly smile "nothing" he answered "then I hope we have fun at the ball" she said the queen smiled "now that that's taken care of com sit" the two then sat with the queen and king and ate their breakfast. Once the two finished their breakfast they went along to the meeting with the nobles. Leon and Brunhild were sitting and listening to the nobles argue over who gets what Leon finally had enough "i hope you all realized who your arguing in front of" the room then fell silent and Brunhild spoke up "i hope you all realize you keep everything you owned during the lead of BrightFall so what's the issue" a noble man then speaks up "that good to know but if I may" "go ahead" she tells him "thank you and the major issue is the opening trade routes now that the kingdom merged with the Greynold family forming the GreyFall Kingdom more people are willing to trade with us and the problem is who controls what route" she then told him "that's simple who here has the least trade routes" he then answers her "well i do princess but i don't see how that helps" she then tells him "you'll receive the most profitable route then as long as you possess the right resources" the man then rubbed his chin and smiled Leon then spoke up "fill out a list of your regions resources and the trade routes under your control and have it sent to me before mid day and I'll report back to you of your new trade routes in a three weeks time" the nobles all spoke among themselves then a noble lady spoke up "thank you and that be all Prince GreyFall" the nobles then exit the room and Leon groans "oh i can't deal with this" Brunhild then comforts him "don't worry dear I'm here too" he than holds her "oh i'm so glad your here" she then smiles and the two share a kiss. Leon was walking through the halls shuffling through the papers from the nobles when Fiona comes up to him "Prince GreyFall" Leon then looks at her "Fiona i thought you were training the knights," ever since the kingdom became know as GreyFall and Fiona found out Leon was a Greynold she has been pushing her self to the limit rising through the ranks faster than anyone would ever believe to the point where she became the captain of the knights, "our training ended an hour ago sir" Leon gave her a skeptical look " then what's the issue" she then pulled out a report and handed it to him "this is a copy of the report the patrolling squadron sent me there appears to be multiple high beast coming into the forest" Leon then rubbed his chin "well deal with this issue in an instant gather a squad of knights and we'll head out" Fiona the questions him "I'm sorry sir but won't your wife keep you from this" Leon then patted her shoulder "oh don't worry she's in the library if we hurry she'll never know" "know what" "oh just that I plan to fight high bea..s..t oh why hello" Leon says to Brunhild who came around the corner with the queen right behind her "Leon you should never hide things from your wife" says the queen "your mother's right dear" she says as she drags him away by his collar "handle the problem as quick as possible Fiona" "yes mam" she salutes her and then walks off laughing as does the queen "ah youth." Leon was being scolded by Brunhild in their room when a servant knocked on the door which gave Leon a break from her scolding Brunhild the answered the door "yes" the servant then bowed "the carriage is ready and all your things for the trip are loaded their just waiting for you my lords" Brunhild then glared at Leon "you got lucky" she then told the servant to tell them their be there soon Leon then thanked the servant for coming when she did before she left which earned a slap from Brunhild. The two came towards the castle gates where the carriage was waiting for them along with the king and queen to see them off, the king then came up to Leon "why are you rubbing your cheek boy" Leon then saw Brunhild glare at him "no reason" he told him "ok then" the king gave him a questionable look "well we came to see you two off and to wish you well during your travels" the king said and then him and the queen hugged the two and wished the well before they departed on the carriage. They've been on the road for a day now, and their sitting in silence listening to the sounds of the country till Leon speaks up "I have to wonder how exactly are you going to show sofie to accept it" Brunhild then smiles "that's for me to know and you to find out" Leon then goes to question her and was stopped by a kiss "just wait if you really want to know" she then told him "okay i guess 'yawn' man I'm tired" he answered her she then pats her lap "why don't you take a nap" she tells him "don't mind if i do" he says as he rests his head on her lap and falls asleep she then giggles. Once they arrive at the Slitheren castle the first to greet them was Princess Sofie. Sofie opened the door to the carriage to see Brunhild sitting there with Leon asleep on her lap she then started to yell at Brunhild but was stopped when she put a finger up to tell her to be quiet sofie then whispered "get off of him" Brunhild whispered back "why would I get off my husband" sofie then went to grab her but Leon then woke up "are we there yet" he said rubbing his eyes "yes we are dear" Brunhild said before she kissed him "good morning dear" Leon then sat up "good morning" he then saw sofie "hey sofie is solas behind you" she then nodded her head and Leon got out the carriage and sofie glared at Brunhild "stay away from him I don't care who you are I had him first I don't know why he chose you" Brunhild then giggled "no and just so you know I new him before he was a prince and it's because he loves me" Leon then shouted "honey come meet solas" "coming dear" she shouted back she then looked at sofie and saw how angry she was "oh i'm going to have so much fun here" she said as she stepped out the carriage sofie then shouted in her hands and stomped towards the others. Solas lead them to there room and once they reached the room he spoke to them "Mr and Mrs GreyFall this will be your room during your stay the servants will bring your luggage up and your free to roam the grounds dinner will be ready by mid day so enjoy your time and I wish you well" solas then walked off "see you later solas I still want a rematch" Leon shouted solas then turned around "anytime though I would just hate to beat a prince twice" he said then left "damn just as smug as ever" Leon said as he entered the room Brunhild then grabbed his arm "oh last time was so one sided" she said sofie then grabbed his other arm "oh he told me about the fight I'm sure you can win this time" she said "once he stops losing control of his emotions sure" Brunhild said as she glared at sofie "oh i'm sure he could win now" she said as she glared back "am I missing something here" Leon said as he watched the two "no its nothing" the two said in unison as they smiled at him "well i would like my arms back" he said the two then let go of his arms and started arguing Leon then went and pulled his dimensional pouch out and went and sat at the desk and pulled out a large crystal that somehow fit through the opening in the pouch then he summoned his darkness tome and started carving into the crystal while chanting. Sofie saw Leon start carving a crystal while chanting some thing she went to go see what he was doing but was stopped by Brunhild before she got close "don't bother him while he works it never ends well he loses control" sofie then asked her "but what is he doing" Brunhild then went to sit on the bed "will you attend the meeting" she then gave her a skeptical look "yeah why" Brunhild then smiled "because you'll find out then when everyone else does now if you don't mind we would like some privacy well be here till dinner unless Leon finishes early" sofie then stepped out the room and walked down the hall thinking what it could be. Leon finished and hour later "oh god that was brain wreaking this better be worth It or I'm gonna lose it" Leon then looked around the room and saw Brunhild asleep on the bed he then went and leaned over the bed and stared at her face "she looks so beautiful I'm glad I met her heck there might not be anyone else for me or anyone else who can control me" next thing he knows her arms are wrapped around his neck and she's kissing him she then pulls away "you mean there isn't anyone else" Leon then smiles "yes there's only you" Leon then climbs into the bed and the two spend the rest of their time before dinner in bed. After dinner the two went to the meeting room where they were met by the king, queen and princess of Slitheren as soon they sat down Leon spoke up "I'm gonna get to the point the previous treaty is invalid since the change of our kingdom and we would like you to alliance with us under the Escolon Alliance" the king then spoke up "we figured that was it well ace-" he was then caught off by the queen "what's in it for us since the alliance is called Escolon Alliance that would place us under direct control of the council or better yet you Greynold oh my bad GreyFall" Leon then pulled out a crystal "yes as that may be true it does has it benefits you would have the same terms as the last alliance access to our trade routes and roam of our lands and all that but you would also have access to what I like to call crystal tech" she then gave him a skeptical look "crystal tech" "yes such as this" he then set the crystal on the center of the table " this is a crystal engine it can provide energy to your whole kingdom for a year" he told her "i hope you realize we use dark magic as our energy source that's not so easily mass produced" she remarked "yes I am aware and it's actually is now this crystal provides energy to your whole kingdom and projects an invisible dome to protect your country anyone who wants to enter would have to have one of these" Leon then hands her a small crystal with the Slitheren crest engraved in it "it's like a key to a lock in this case a giant lock" she then hands it to her husband "so it provides us energy and protection" Leon shook his head "and just so you know you can keep this one and 9 more of those keys free but if you want a resupply of the crystal engine each year or more keys you'll have to join the alliance and just so you know my only my country knows the proper inscription as Its multiple layered and complex BrightFall was the kingdom of knowledge" what Leon never said was that only he knew the inscription but not anyone else in his country, "we might have to get back to you about this" she told him "if you don't mind I would like an answer now" he remarked "as I said we need time" she told him in a harsher tone Leon then started releasing his energy unconsciously "we're both busy people and im sure it would be good to get this over with as quickly as possible" the three Slitherens started to feel pressured by his energy till Brunhild grabbed his hand and his energy all went to her "my husband is right" the queen and king then looked at each other and queen spoke up "well agree to the terms even though they benefit us more" they then shook hands "thank you for your time and we look forward to the slither ball oh and plan a date for Leon to battle solas he wouldn't stop asking for my permission" Brunhild said as she dragged Leon out the room. Back in their room Brunhild threw Leon on the bed and kissed him "under control yet" Leon then relaxed "yes thank you and I might not be fully under control" he said as he pulled her close "oh sure" she said then continued to kiss him and the two spent the rest of the day in bed. Leon awoke to a knock on his door "what is it" he shouted loud enough for them to hear but not loud enough to wake Brunhild "Mr.GreyFalls battle with solas will be after breakfast which is in a hour" they said "thank you your dismissed" Leon told them "I'll take my leave then" Leon then hugged Brunhild and kissed her and once he's pulled away she spoke up "why such a nice way told wake up you should do that more often" he then kissed her again "thank you thank you thank you" he said once he pulled away "again maybe I should do nice things more often" she said then Leon then went to get up but she wrapped her arms around his neck "don't stop now" he then continued to kiss her and the two spent their time in bed till breakfast. Leon was standing on a stage "ok I'm glad we're fighting and everything but why are we in a arena" "because I told them about your emotional problem" Brunhild shouted from the stands "yeah that makes sense" Leon than said aloud causing everyone in she stands to laugh , which was the king, queen, sofie, and Brunhild, "are you ready Mr.GreyFall" yelled solas from the opposite side of the stadium "yeah on the count of three then your count" solas then counted to three and as soon as he said three Leon started running at him solas then three a blast of fire in his way and Leon kept running with no thought of dodging the blast,"oh my god is he just going to take that" yelled sofie "just be calm" said Brunhild "so your just going to watch your husband get hurt right at the beginning" asked the queen but all she did was smile and watch Leon causing everyone to worry, the blast then hit Leon and a big cloud of smoke arose "is that all" said solas "oh no" everyone in the stands yelled all but Brunhild who kept smiling soon a figure arose in the cloud of smoke catching everyone's attention the figure that stepped out was all black and covered in a dark fire causing everyone to gasp everyone except Brunhild who yelled "go dear you can win" causing everyone to place all their attention on the figure who than smirked and jumped at solas and threw a punch which exploded as soon as it made contact causing the figure to lose its flame and dark skin revealing the figure to indeed be Leon "damn hitting you with your own fire plus my dark magic didn't work figured" Leon shouted the cloud then dispersed revealing solas to be holding Leons fist "of course my elements are fire and darkness" answered solas who than punched Leon with as fist of fire sending him flying Leon caught him self on the the ground "well i guess I'll have to go with plan two then" he then created a ball of dark lightning "no dear dont" shouted from the stands causing everyone to stare at her then to Leon and started to worry what would happen next, Leon being in the heat of battle didn't hear his wife and slammed the ball of dark lightning into his chest causing him to scream out in pain, "what did he do to himself by the looks of it that's not safe and hurts" sofie asked Brunhild and pointed to Leon Brunhild then explained to everyone "that is one of his strongest self use spells not anyone can use it as of now only the creator of the spell and our knight captain are the only ones who can though the creator uses it at it's most dangerous form it casts multiple spells on the users body using two elements encase, enchant, enhance, spread, cover, and sacrifice while half of those shouldn't be used on the body he found a way to allow them but what makes this form dangerous is sacrifice which boosts all the spells at the cost of his emotions normally this would be useful but since he has such a strong affinity to darkness he mostly has negative emotions while he might not show them their always there" sofie then grabbed her "why would he create such a dangerous spell" "to protect" sofie gave her a questioning look "look he had a tragic past and isn't willing to see it happen again" she told her "his family died in a fire it happens no need to go this far" sofie yelled "that's not the whole story" "ROOOAAARR" "look if you want to no the whole story ask him later the meeting from yesterday is still affecting him this Is really bad and I need to get down there before he kills solas" she said as she ran for the stair to the stage, Leon finished his transformation and looked towards solas then roared, solas watched him and could swear he was facing not his own kind or even a beast but a demon from legends a demon covered in black lightning over its black skin with menacing horns protruding out its head and razor claws for fingers and a razor tail coming out Its back and hearing it's roar made it all the more terrifying "DEAR STOP THIS INSTANT" yelled Brunhild from the entrance of the stage this caused Leon to snap back to reality he then looked towards her and in an instant he was in front of her causing everyone to gasp and worry about what would happen to her "HonEy wHat ArE yoU DoInG DoWn hEre I dOnt WaNt To sEe yoU hUrt" he then picked her up and in an instant they were In the stands "nOw PleAsE sTay" he told her "yes dear now have fun don't kill him" she said as he jumped down, as soon as Leon touched the ground he was bombarded with blasts of fire and darkness and was sent flying towards the wall but before he made contact a bolt of black lightning striked up towards the sky and caused everyone to look around the stadium then another bolt striked in front of solas causing everyone to jump solas was then he was sent flying towards the wall but before he made contact a bolt of lightning shot ahead of him and he was sent flying towards the sky and the bolt shot above him and he was sent flying towards the ground and once again the bolt shot ahead of him and then the demonic Leon appeared with his fist in his air which solas landed on causing him to faint Leon then turned back to normal and rested him on the ground "damn he can take a punch I felt like he was going to last forever there" Leon then looked at the stands "he's fine but he needs to sleep" then he realized every was relaxed mabey a little to relaxed he thought he then shouted "the battle is over do I get a prize" he then snickered only to be stopped by Brunhild as she tackled him "oh I love you dear" Leon then wrapped his arms around her "what's wrong with them" he asked her "nothing it's just that the energy you released had a soothing affect" Leon then picked her up in a bridal carry "we'll go back to the castle and enjoy some us time and the servants can deal with the rest" he then motioned to the servants cleaning up the stage "hehe I like it when you're like this" she said while clapping and the two went back to the Slitheren castle. A simple meeting and a rematch and some alone time what else await the two during their visit in another country.
