One year ago...

"Find them!" Zhebel yelled at her minions "make sure they don't escape"

"This way," I dragged Thail along with me as we ran for our lives "we're going to make it" she was injured in the leg so she put her hands over my shoulders as I supported her waist.

We were almost out of Zhebels' fortress before she let go pushing me aside and sitting on the ground because the pain was much.

"Thail, what are you doing? We have to go" I said wanting to carry her but she refused

"You know we're both not going to make it out of here alive" she said

"Yes we are" I said "look, we're almost out" I pointed at the exist

"Face it Zack, I'm slowing you down," she said "you have to go, survive"

"I'm not leaving without you" I said taking her hands in mine

"You have to, look, I'll always love you dead or alive but... You can't die here, go, escape, Zhebel can't have you" she said

"I don't want to loss you Thail" I said as tears dipped out from my eyes

"You won't, cause I'll always be in here" she said holding my chest

"There they are!" One of Zhebels' minion yelled when he spotted us from afar

"You have to go Zack, run!" Thail said and kissed me "come back for me when all this is over"

"I love you" I said almost in a whisper

"I love you too" she whispered back and I stood up and began to run.

I was almost out before I heard Thail screamed then I turned back, I saw Zhebel stabbed her with a dagger from behind, I was short of words then I began to regret why I left her behind, I mean, we would have both made it out. Thail looked up at me, our eyes met as tears slowly dropped from her eyes and blood out from her mouth

"Run!" She mouthed and dropped to the ground.

With pains in my heart, I turned back and began to run away.

"Zack, can I..." Clovet said coming inside my house but it seemed empty "Zack? You home?" She took off her jacket and hanged it on the wall near the door and went to see if I was in my room and she saw Tesla trying to give me a shot in the arm

"What... What the f*** are you doing" she asked as she hurrily came in and push Tesla away "what did you do to him"

Not recognising who she was, Tesla snapped

"And who are you exactly"

"I'm his sister, duh" Clovet said and Tesla realised that she was the one we met at the road side yesterday. "what were you planning on doing to him"

"He fainted okay, I was just trying to reduce the pains before he regain consciousness" Tesla explained

"Pain? What pain?" Clovet asked

"He has a mild concussion, as if he was knocked out so he's going to feel some pains" Tesla said

"And what were you about to give him"

"Gosh! Are you interrogating me right now? What do you think, I'm gonna kill my boyfriend?" Tesla yelled

"Boyfriend?... Yeah, I've seen a lot of women who murder their boyfriends" Clovet yelled back as Tesla gasped and left

When she was gone, Clovet picked up the string that fell and trashed it, she touched my forehead, I was burning up

"What's happening in there Zack?" She whispered with so much concern in her voice

After a while, she came out of my room closing the door and went to the kitchen, she met Tesla

"What are you doing?" She asked

"Preparing something to eat" Tesla answered not looking up as silence swept through

After cooking, Tesla set the table with the help of Clovet.

"So... Why are you here?" Tesla asked breaking the silent

"Is that any of your concern" Clovet snapped rudely, "you, what about you, why are you here"

"I'm just staying for a while, someone broke into my place" Tesla replied "you like him don't ya"

"Yeah... Why not... Erm... I mean, he's my brother, aren't I suppose to" Clovet sputtered

"No, I mean you like like him, but not as a brother" Tesla said but Clovet didn't reply "you have feelings for him?"

"Zack is my brother, how can I possibly have feelings... for him" Clovet said immediately and went to the kitchen before Tesla will ask more questions

The table was set, Tesla and Clovet sat opposite each other quietly as they began to eat, just then I came down

"Zack?" Clovet asked which alerted Tesla "you're awake" and they both ran to meet me

"Are you experiencing pains of any kind" Tesla asked immediately

"No, no I'm not" I replied then turned to Clovet "wh-What are you doing here"

"Well, I was thinking if I could stay for another night, I don't want to see my mum right now" she answered

"Cool, you're always welcomed here I said and sat down as they both had their seats and we began to eat.

That night, Clovet was in the sitting room watching TV while I was in my room sitting on my bed before Tesla came in

"You okay babe?" She asked closing the door

"Yeah, I'm cool" I answered then she sat down beside me

"You passed out again," she said "I think you should see a doctor"

"No, I'm good" I declined "beside, I'm cool with you" then she smiled and laid on my shoulders

"I'm worried about you, you know" she said

"Hey, don't worry, I'm fine" I assured her lifting her face then our lips met and we kissed.

The next morning, I woke up and found Tesla sleeping next to me then I smiled and came closer to her kissing her in her neck.

She moaned and opened her eyes and turned to face me

"Good morning babe" I greeted

"Good morning" she greeted back and we began to kiss until the alarm started, it was 8am "oh my gosh, I'm gonna be late" she stood up and hurriedly went to the bathroom

I got off from bed feeling super excited as I dressed the bed and went down to make breakfast but Clovet already got it covered.

"Hmm... Someone's excited this morning" she said handing me a mug and pouring tea inside "where's Tesla"

"She's getting ready for work" I replied sitting down at the dinning and Clovet joined me

After a while, Tesla came out all dressed in her nurse uniform

"Okay babe, I'm off" she said taking some toasted bread and peaked me in the lip.

"Bye" I waved at her as she left closing the door behind her.

"I see you're finally moving on" Clovet said

"Yeah, I am" I replied "so, what are you doing today"

"Nothing, you?"

"Oh, I and Rick have this boys day out... Whatever that means"

"Can I come along" she asked

"I do no, it's only for boys" I said

"Come on, where there's boys, there's always a girl like the stripper for example"

"So, you want to disguise as a stripper?"

"No, I'm just saying" she said "but I don't wanna stay her alone please"

"Fine, you can come with" I agreed and she whooped

On our way, we were talking about stuff, laughing and trying to catch up on time before we met Bia, she was surprised to see us together

"Clovet!" She called as she rushed and dragged her away from me "what are you doing?" Then she turned to me "I told you to stay away from my girls"

"Mum..." Clovet tried to stop Bia

"And you, what're you doing hanging around this abomination" she yelled then Clovet forcefully let go of her hands and came to stand beside me

"Zack is not an abomination mum, he's family whether you like it or not" She said "now if you'll excuse us, we have a party to attend" then she dragged me and we walked passed Bia.

"That was brave of you standing up to your mum like that I commented"

"Thanks" Clovet replied "she's starting to become a pain in the ass"

After a while, we arrived at Ricks house, he was already outside waiting for me with another guy and to our surprise, Destiny was there.

"Jeez, seriously Clovet, what part of boys day out don't y'all get" Rick said when he saw Clovet

"There's nothing like a boys day out Rick, and like it or not, I'm coming along" Destiny said "so you better decide on a fun place to go" then she sat on a chair that was outside

"Beside, it's just the two of us" Clovet said "and I ain't got anything fun doing"

"Why don't you girls just hang out" the other guy said

"Erm... Nope" Destiny and Clovet declined

"Am I missing something" I chimed in

"Oh buddy" Rick said coming towards me and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders "this is my cousin, Steve" then he turned to Steve "Steve, my buddy Zack"

"Hello," we waved at each other, he was good looking, I'll give him that, he had facial hair and dark skin compared to Rick.

"So, what are we going to do about the girls?" Rick asked almost in a whisper

"Why don't they come with us,besides, it'll be fun with them along" I said with a smile

"Aha, fine" Rick signed "but just because you said so" and it was settled, they could follow us.

All day, we were at a bar, drinking and chilling. When night came, we went to a club opposite the bar

"Now this is what I call life" Rick said as we got ourselves a table then a woman in black undies approach us.

"What can I get you?" She asked as she ran her hands down Ricks chest

"How about three bottle of whiskey" he said

"Okay sweetheart" she licked his ear and left

"Make it four" Destiny yelled

After a while, she arrived with the bottles and some cups

"Enjoy" she winked at Rick and left

"That chick is totally into me" Rick said watching her leave

"Tell me about it" Destiny said as she took one bottle and opened it

"Lets play a game" Steve suggested taking the bottle from Destiny

"What game?" Clovet asked

"Never have I ever" he replied "lets see which of us will get drunk frist"

"Oh, I'll go first" Rick said "never have I slept with my best friend"

"Seriously?" Destiny asked

"Raise your hands if you haven't" Rick said as I and Clovet glanced at each other and raised our hands

"I smell lies" Steve said pouring a glass of whiskey for us and we both drank it

"My turn" Destiny said "never have I ever been afraid of the dark"

"Men, you got me" Rick said and raised his hands then Steve handed him a drink.

This went on for hours until Clovet was nearly drunk

"We have a loser" Steve announced as we all laughed

"Ha,ha very funny guys" Clovet said "very funny"

"Hey, the dance floor is opened, lets go" Steve said

"Great idea" Clovet whooped getting up

"I don't think so Clo. You're wasted" I said holding her back

"Come on Zack, are you afraid of a challenge" she said and I laughed

"Oh, it's on" and we both went to the dance floor

"I envy those two" Destiny said

"Well m'lady, your knight in shining armour is here" Steve said giving her a hand but she declined

"This woman don't need a knight, especially in shining armour" and she went to the dance floor.

"Take heart dude" Rick patted his back "you'll get lucky next time. In the meantime, I better pay a visit to my ladies in waiting" then he left with the woman that served us and some of her friends.

"I hate that guy" Steve muttered to himself then danced his way to the dance floor

We were all enjoying ourselves before I heard an ear splitting sound which made me close my ears tight. My eyes began to blink grey and black and I could see Thails' face, she was sobbing

"Come back for me" I could hear her whisper "please, save me"

I fell to the ground covering my ears, it was so painful that I began to bleed

On seeing me, Clovet rushed to get me followed by Destiny

"Zack! Are you okay?" She asked surprised then all of a sudden, the sound stopped, I looked up to Clovet, every where was a bit blurry then my eyes began to close slowly.
