The curse of blue heart

Elvira Azul Cor was born on the cursed day of a lunar eclipse where the shadows of fear, breakdown of people, and their prayers of rage to overcome tragedies have channeled into the only born heart of that omniscient day. A heart made of blue. The deadliest monsters keep growing inside her, unknown to her own self, and her mother had to defy the Sectee Occult to save her as a newborn. On the run for years, away from mystical soldiers, and eyes of predators. Little does she knew that one day the craziest tracker of the realm: Faith, will come to get her, who is not awakened of the power she beholds. The royal command of Aspein Empire is on the mission of wiping out every mage breathing the purity of their air. Whilst the soldiers of the kingdom keep an eye always open for the newest witch they could burn; and a handsome Sir Astaroth Zagreus is on a hunt to save his brother's empire from a vicious fallacy only he has the whiff of. Being cornered by both the magical and human realms, Elvira is forced to fight a battle of wits to survive this bloody bath. And there is only one place in the kingdom where she can secure her safety far better than anywhere else; Bells Hut, where rumors are just another word of mouth, nothing believable until proved, and the immortal weapon a woman can have: being a Temptress. And now to outwit Faith, Elvira seduces a devil in disguise of a man: not knowing he is a Veliong.

—the beginning of prophecy—

"One more step and you die!" Roselyn halted on her voyage towards the Mirror Towers. Knowing if she puts down her blade now there exists no power in this universe who can save her, and her child, she held to it as firmly one could.

"Your surrendering will save everyone from this misfortune. You know what the right is better than anyone else. You are our leader!" Heather attested statements Roselyn had no defence against, except that it isn't the mistake of her child to be born on a cursed day. It was her who couldn't withhold for another day and bore her out. So, it's only right that she takes the responsibility.

Heather was the only mage in Sectee Occult who could keep up with the powers she held.

"Heath. I have made my decision." She spoke her words very softly in the hopes of making her friend understand the weight of her decision.

"To kill all of us? To make the world a battle field? To what exactly?" Heather questioned with only fury lacing her words. And Roselyn could very well understand the stances of Heather.

"I gave her a life. I need to protect her with whatever I can."

"She is doom. Didn't you hear Julius's prophecy before she was born." Heather complained and not even in a position like this did her sword move an inch, just like how Roselyn's pointed at her.

Her heart ached at the mention of her daughter being referred to as doom.

"She is my child!" Roselyn shouted back and waltz straight into Heather, which she managed to dodge and galvanized into the air above which automatically pushed Roselyn's feet to do the same and they pointed the swords at each other, now making circles in the sky.

"Rose. This is the time to be rational and not emotional. You always said that emotions get the worse out of us! Don't let them bewitch you." Roselyn couldn't disagree to what Heather was mentioning cause that's what she would always say. "One week on a run will not penalize you! A service in the temple and you will be able to get back to whatever you are about to lose now!"

Her words echoed in the thick air as they found themselves above the Pearl Water's. Their black and red armors shining upon the clear layers of the lake. "And, what? Forget that I ever was a mother and be the mother serving the world's safety."

This made Heather pause and gave an opportunity for Roselyn to jump into the water below, and as she reached the surface she weilded the swords tip into the water. Air touching it she projected it up into the sky where Heather was almost coming down too. It took a very brief moment before the water piped out from the surface and fountained at Heather.

She easily dodged it with one cut in the center of the water line. "Roselyn Cur Dembrose! As of this moment you are under arrest and I, Heather Grimes, declare the farewell to our acquaintance."

Roselyn felt nauseous and realised it a bit too late that Heather had thrown some Ult spark on her, the witch she could be! That made her movements way too slower in comparison to her opponents.

"This is unethical and unfair." Roselyn dipped inside the waters aiming to let the Pearl Water energy to heal her. Closing her eyes she waited for the energy to flow in and after an instant she pointed her sword at the presence behind her. Instead the sword was pushed back into her and she felt blood prickling out of her left bicep.

"Too late, dear leader." Yage whispered into her ears and puched into her guts, which sent her straight out of the water into midair with the helix roots of water caging her inside it. Later Yage emerged out of the water with her green robe dripping of water droplets which sparkled under the sunlight.

With a quick recovery from the shock Roselyn positioned her sword to cut through the water, but the Ult Spark became her ultimatum. Yage isn't a master at all in the comparison to her, especially something involving agility. Yet she held the ultimate control over water. Droplet, ice and the skies, it was all hers. "What is unethical is your greed," Yage said, with the calmness of a running river stream and debadged her sword first, "to have the child which will only kill us. And what is unfair is," this time she pulled out the plaque of access into the black mirror—which was only granted to the organisation head—with a snap of a water drop, "someone as solemn and emotional as you was our leader."

"Was?" Heather interjected sharply and Roselyn calculated that she has underestimated Yage's power over agility. It had only taken for Yage to capture her as much as it took for Heather to dive inside the Pearl Water and come out!

"What makes you think that she is still the leader of Sectee Occult?" Yage questioned with an irreplaceable smirk on her face as if disregarding Roselyn's bare existence just into someone who was foolish.

"That she is the most powerful priestess one has seen in the last 100 years and the fact that if she hadn't lost half of her energy in labor, while bringing out a monster for us, she could kill you with the blink in her eyes." Ursulu, the left in chief from the tree house spoke from below them. Roselyn couldn't understand how was The Tree involved in their business for him to dare to trespass their sacred lands. Where are the soldiers?

"I am the one holding her dear life right now. So, what exactly still makes her a leader?" Yage spitted venom of words and fired a palm of a water ball towards her that turned into visible tiny ice thorns. That poked into her upper body and blood trailed making the helix turn into a pinkish cage.

"The fact that she is still breathing and can summon anything from the heart of history. And I love seeing you right amogst—" Heather shot him a warning arrow of fire which made him jump back, and next she threw in the rope of lily at her which freed her from the water cage and enraged Yage.

"Do not treat your fellow mage as a criminal! That's a warning of deposition." Heather threatened while she fell back into the water and this time she knew exactly what to do. Pulling out the yellow grain from her right pants pocket she placed it on her heart and concentrated into her breathing. Then she pulled the roots of Eucalyptus in the water and called for her dagger from the war of Theodis.

Floating inside the water she hoped the other's were wasting enough time within themselves. The dagger half appeared into her palms and then darkness summoned her in return. It felt quite strange and she knew only sorcery could do this.

"She who shall not be alive is going to live. The devil is resentful of her because it stopped a great chaos from occurring!"

Her ears ringed as she tried to figure out a form of source in the complete black void. "She is not evil. The evil is in her. The sadness, the resent of poverty, a huge cry of help and the hate of humankind towards God. She is made of them and she shall endure it. So, says her fate!"

A tear rolled down her face making the water hotter which burnt her skin.

"The devil wants her. The devil sent his man. If cocooned in Yin she shall never meet him, the demise. He shall forever remain formless, and nameless to her and only know how he shall speak."

Another tear.

"Save her and save the world from the rule of the devil! That shall be her sacrifice to have a blue heart! The heart made of evil."

"Roselyn this is not you. Stop!" Heather pleaded to her but all she could feel were the words of the unknown and the hate they held for a mere breathing baby who didn't know what life could feel like.

"This is my world. I rule it and if I have to salvage each and everyone of you to keep my daughter alive I will do it in a heartbeat!"

"No!" Goalith came shouting and he was the only person she wouldn't want to hurt right now, or any time.

All the mages came straight into her, finding Goalith's interrupt as a distraction for her. He was faster than her as he opened the seal to defend both of them.

"She is in the last room at the white tower." Goalith informed her, and in exchange, "Yage got the wrong palque. Goodbye!"
