The curse of blue heart

Elvira Azul Cor was born on the cursed day of a lunar eclipse where the shadows of fear, breakdown of people, and their prayers of rage to overcome tragedies have channeled into the only born heart of that omniscient day. A heart made of blue. The deadliest monsters keep growing inside her, unknown to her own self, and her mother had to defy the Sectee Occult to save her as a newborn. On the run for years, away from mystical soldiers, and eyes of predators. Little does she knew that one day the craziest tracker of the realm: Faith, will come to get her, who is not awakened of the power she beholds. The royal command of Aspein Empire is on the mission of wiping out every mage breathing the purity of their air. Whilst the soldiers of the kingdom keep an eye always open for the newest witch they could burn; and a handsome Sir Astaroth Zagreus is on a hunt to save his brother's empire from a vicious fallacy only he has the whiff of. Being cornered by both the magical and human realms, Elvira is forced to fight a battle of wits to survive this bloody bath. And there is only one place in the kingdom where she can secure her safety far better than anywhere else; Bells Hut, where rumors are just another word of mouth, nothing believable until proved, and the immortal weapon a woman can have: being a Temptress. And now to outwit Faith, Elvira seduces a devil in disguise of a man: not knowing he is a Veliong.

—burning heart —

The roads were blocked as usual, and it seemed to be raining more heavily than earlier which didn't give Elvira any moment of satisfaction, because as the rain continued to pour her heart kept on turning blue, now the light from under her dress quite visibly shining like the clearest waters of ridge park waterfall.

She wished for the downpour to calm down, not exactly that, but in reality, she wanted this to stop completely so her heart would stop heating and make it impossible for her to move around. Clutching the hem of her brown meshed blouse she let the heat take over the blood in her veins, all the while praying for this to pass.

This too shall pass, that's what her old woman would have said whenever they would end up meeting a dead end after not being able to find the right balances to maintain their energies during practice sessions of the transformation lessons. And every time Elvira would mess up the handle of the pot part making her old woman extremely furious about how imprudent can a student even become.

So much for the, this too shall pass confidant.

Don't think about the pain. Think about how beautiful the summer trees were in Tarina Garden—it is no place of grass and land for entertainment, it is a large rocked city built under the third ruler of Aspein—during their visit of being exchange students for three para, and humiliating it was when none of them, which included Neo the smartest kid from Quinch Land, not knowing about the strange game of Not Done By Date where everyone made a circle of among themselves and sat with drinks which could liquefy the normal state of a brain only to agree and have a shot of their drink, and keep their throats dry if a disagreement to the statement provided by any of the player.

Then it was even embarrassing to share the same bath pool water they afforded... Water... Rain drops....

The heat in her heart!

The reflection of her in the water pooled on the street insisted that her hair was turning into a lighter flame yellow colour, as she hurriedly tried to cover it inside the bonnet her mother had forced her to wear in the morning, when the sky was too clear and she didn't have the worry of not finding the right sized shoes for the ball game next week.

The ball game where she was due to join Graffin, and make sure her luck brought the team a win after successive losses for the past ten games against the Ursula Penning's but the condition was, she shouldn't be caught being a girl.

As it was a game made for who had three legs, of course one was way sorter.

There was no mistaking that her hair wasn't changing it's color, because it definitely was, and she couldn't blame it on the haziness of the rain, as it wasn't the reason.

I can see you. Don't try to run away.

The sound rang into her ears, louder than the splattering of the rain, damageable enough to beat the passing of hundred carriages at once, even though the naked emperor could pass by right in front of her she couldn't laugh, as the fear in her heart grew askew to the voice in her head.

This wasn't the first time she had heard it, and every time she encountered it, she felt like a mad woman, and besides pressing her ears until it started to splutter red liquid, she didn't have a choice but endure.

Destiny has woven me to bring you back to hell. And I shall comply. I shall comply. Shall Comply. Comply..Ply.....y.....

The shrill voice only improved her headache to the perched angle of an iota, and her hair has started turning into blue at the tips.

What if a royal soldier sees her now? The thought simply brought another wave of nauseated migraine into her head.

As if on cue, a dozen white coated armed(swords) men soaked in rain water came around for patrolling, making her jump on her feet; the bread from Zui's intact in her other hand.

Scanning the road on the other side she saw a lantern glowing at a faraway door.

If she could only reach there in time, there is a high chance the kind hearted people of Sili will provide her a blanket to cover and a warm water in exchange of her precious bread.

That was the only way to not be caught, and she could blame any of the civilians' suspicions of her hair color to the haze of the rain.

Running as fast as she could, she avoided a stone on the cobbled side of the road, attempting to have a marathon practice before the ball game and hoping her hair would remain a bun inside her black bonnet.

"Young Lady. Stand still."

A burst of flames came straight out of her heart, burning both the fabric layer's of her blouse. The brown color could save the burn marks for now, only if there was no more fire eruption.

"What are you doing here, young lady?"

This time a louder eruption of an arson fire came out from her heart, and her body tarted to burn, churning the dress of the soldier into an unstoppable fire. The rain kept pouring, and the fire kept growing.

And her blue heart glowed in the darkest night of gloom.

My first time trying a fantasy touch. I hope you all like this new beginning.

For anyone who is curious, the story is set in the late 1700's and into the early 1800's, in the kingdom of ASPEIN, a fictional land and the characters will be juggling from the town of Sili and Poppyleaves as we move forward into the story.

I have a mixed reaction to the story myself. Let's see how this works out.
