Chapter Eight

Afternoon came slowly along and soon drifted off with the setting of the sun . The evening covered the day preparing the space for the night to descend while the moon crept in unknowingly in the sky.

The outside of the building was bustling with people dancing, some running around while some just sat together gossiping .Klaus walked up to a counter to request for a coconut milk drink, arriving at the counter, he bumped in someone. He instinctively wanted to apologize but a voice that he had heard for a long time left him stunned

"Look what we have hear, perverted narcissist" said the voice. Klaus lifted his eyes and gazed into the eye of the person who had just spoken. The person he bumped into was scarlet

"This can't be real Issa witch" Klaus exclaimed and moved backwards obviously scared of scarlet. He felt exposed under the gaze of scarlet since they both practically grew up together till 3rd grade high and it's been approximately seven years since they last saw each other. The only person who could make home fear this much was definitely issa since she made his schooling days hellish.

"Come here boy, don't fret " she said grabbing him by the shoulders. They both took their sits near the counter where they asked for the same drink, coconut milk drink.

"Why are you still so scared of me?. I mean it's been seven years, is it? since we last saw each other" scarlet said gulping down the whole drink at once.

On the other side Sonia , Shawn, professor Julian and yunli are burst into laughter. It was really unexpected that Klaus would want to run away from a woman. Only Vincent who stood nearby felt cold feet.

"You guys don't know a thing, the girl made our lives miserable during the days. I mean literally miserable. It's best to stay clear of such a person" Vincent said as her walked backwards gradually distancing himself from Klaus view.

Within the building, rose and the other teammates were shocked at the words of Klaus although they all knew scarlet to be a brutal and mischievous person, they had all thought it was because of her job as a black ops, never in their wildest dreams would they have know that she had always been that way since she was a young.

"But why call her issa , it's not like that's Captain's real name right" rose thought.

Back to Klaus, he had already calmed himself since the scarlet who sat in front of him seemed kore matured.

"How is Rein?,it's been long since I last saw her pretty face" scarlet said as her chin rested against her palm which was on the table.

"Pretty face huh... that's weird coming from you, I don't think you were both close enough to ask after each other right"

"Argh...what a buzz killer, it's my way of being formal what's with the reply" scarlet sighed "anyways what's you doing here?, I didn't think I'd run into you here after a long while"

" Yeah that's truly unexpected, came here for the holiday with a friend, what about you?"

"Same thing "

After their short greetings, scarlet and Klaus reminisced about the past and how much their lives had been fairing since their last meeting obviously leaving out the Crucial parts of their lives. Each of there teammates were listening to their conversation through the mini ear piece they had in there ears, it would be weird if they weren't listening at least it proved that they knew how to keep their jobs and mission a secret from those close to them.

A few hours passed by once again before the night fully enclosed the city. Street lights lit up the bridges and road paths while the city light came into full display showcasing the beauty of they city at night. It was a rear view to witness for visitors. The black van soon arrived with two other cars with it.

Three men stepped out of the van with the man in the lead having a suitcase in his hand. The other car which arrived with it had two men from the first car while four other men from the latter, these people were Dicoviche and Luke along with their guards. It could be Clearly seen that they came together as they proceeded with their entry into the building.

On arriving, Klaus team began moving. Vincent in a dinner suit with the name tag Gustavo walked around with a tray filled with a drink serving.

Dicoviche and Luke walked into a room opposite that of scarlet team in which the previous host who had given the welcoming introduction walked in with a cigarette in his mouth.

"I need to visit the bathroom?" Klaus excused himself walking towards the back entrance of the building which was the emergency exit while scarlet took the opportunity to commence with her own plans. On her way, she bumped into Sonia causing the latter to almost trip over herself.

"Sorry for that but I'm in a hurry" she apologized making fast strides to the room her teammates were.

[In the room]

Dicoviche and Luke sat together opposite to the Clovis who has just finished introducing himself. The group discussed about their plans on the abduction of some pedestrians in order to lure the government agents out to their sight at a deserted place near the beach before taking them out at a deserted place not far from the bridge near the shurbs no far from the beach. Their aim was to deal a damage to the government even if it was a 0.1 damage to the government agencies who were on to them. They further discussed about what they would do to the people whom they had captured but little they know that the was wore tapped by Lucy and Anna a few moments ago when they received scarlet's message.

After confirming their targets face they sent a message to the head quarters about the hostage situation. Klaus teammates on the other hand were waiting for Luke to exit the room he had just enter since their mission was to capture one person and kill of two which seemed easy to them.

Soon, Clovis got a call that their plan had been sabotaged by the government and they they had suffered a considerably amount of loss also that someone amongst the three had ratted them out.

"Shit" Clovis in anger cursed and slammed his fist on the table in front of him. He glared at Dicoviche before looking at luke

"How plans have gone to dust" he said still clenching his fist.

"How is that possible? The union obviously just informed me a week ago" Dicoviche said scared out of wits seeing Clovis in rage

"Don't look at me , it's not like I was the one who snitched. You called me few nights ago to confirm my arrival" Luke quickly said to Clovis who still had his gaze at him not wanting to draw suspicion to himself.

"I didn't call you few nights ago. In fact two of our member got themselves bagged in a river few nights ago and I rushed there when I heard of the news but they still ended up dead. This can only conclude that one of those dead body gave out the information but you idiotically confirmed it" Clovis raised his voice grabbing Luke after hearing the words of his mouth. "We have to leave here immediately. They are probably lurking around the building by now" he said still trying to calm himself. But that didn't last long because the door was kicked down by Anna and Lucy who had beaten the guards by the door unconscious.

The building music was loud with many guest were enjoy themselves dancing at one end while at another end some we're dinning. Yunli walked towards the room direction after detecting something unusual. A solid but invisible object hit her by the shoulders. The short collision cause the object to become visible and the sight of Dicoviche could be seen. His face was stricken with fear and horror, meanwhile in the room Clovis had been cuffed with metal rods piercing through his right hand to the other, blood dripped down his hand . This had happened in just a minute of him not being able to react. Luke on the other side had used his ability to by pass the walls and make his way to the emergency exit where Klaus was.

"I chase after him while rose will go after Dicoviche" scarlet instructed also dashing out of the room towards the direction of the emergency exit. Yunli having witness all this while hiding in a corner informed Vincent and Sonia about Dicoviche escape direction and Clovis capture by a strange group of women.

At the emergency exit, Klaus yawned feeling bored guarding the exit after making his own change of plans. He had received information about the government spies that were present but their identity were still unknown since that the data that was gotten at the moment from Shawn through his phone.

"Klaus , he's in you direction. Also a black ops member is in you direction also. Be careful no to get caught" professor Julian voice came from his earpiece.

"Out of my way" another voice came from behind him just after he received the warning, unlucky for Luke Klaus response was an elbow jab which knocked him a few steps backwards.
