A mountain of thoughts

"To be honest,what you are saying right now is obviously true but don't think I'll let you escape with this murder."

"What exactly can you do? You see,a princess should stay in her place. Go back to Iordia and tell your dad that if he doesn't calm down with the soldiers, I'm afraid his precious daughter will be facing consequences."

As the wind circulated faster and faster, Calista's hair was surrounded by the wind. She didn't care as long as she had something to do,she didn't give two fucks about it.

The enemy jumped in to attack, surprisingly his target wasn't her,it was Rosé.

Rosé's body began to tremble as she felt an unexplainable sharp pain in the left side of her chest. Her breathing increased its speed,her falling down to her knees.

Calista's look darkened as she gave in for an attack, letting out some strange ball of energy. The energy touched the target resulting in an explosion,a small one but also destroyable.

"Rosé,are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm alright it's just that I feel kind of dizzy and I feel like he poisoned me or something."

"Poisoned you? That's strange. What could that move of his mean?"

"Instead of questioning that,we should at least try to heal her. We can question it later,the enemy seems to be dead anyway." Stated Arlo with quite a worried expression on his face, an expression he doesn't make so often.

"What's with that face? Are you actually worried about someone?"

"Shut up! It's normal that I'm worried. It's not like Rosé is a monster or something!"

"I know,I know."

"The strange feeling died." Announced Rosé with a smile on her face.

"So suddenly? I didn't even get to properly investigate it."

"Your investigation is not even important,the fact that she was healed is more important. Even if we don't know how it was even possible,it doesn't matter!"

"Ok,ok, you are starting to sound like a motival speaker. I don't know why but I don't fully trust you yet."

"Do I seem so dangerous,what could be so dangerous about a teenager? I'm literally just worried about one of you and you still dare to say I'm not a person to trust? You sure are weird! You are acting like a princess,even though I know you are but you shouldn't use that title to call people how you want. I'm a very nice person, I'm just 15 after all,with what did I bother you,with some little fights?"

"Calista, Arlo is right,you shouldn't doubt him. He hasn't tried something dangerous and I can guarantee he won't, just look at him, how can you even imagine a scenario where he would hurt us. He's just a lost teenager.

You two should work on yourselves and learn how friends should act towards each other,I expect you to understand since you are always proud of the fact you are an adult,instead of making him feel useless,make him feel useful. When he actually tries to help,you always have something to say about him. Just focus on what is important instead of doubting an innocent."

She doesn't say anything since she didn't have what,her doubtful thoughts were still here as she analysed him head to toe with her sight.

She wasn't sure if what she thought was true, she was just furious that until now he didn't even try to find solutions,she knew he is just a teenager and that he doesn't know much about this kind of situation.

Rosé's words were going harsh on her,like a hundred blades stabbing the heart with no pity, the look she gave her was crucial and almost frightening as she hides her face under her hands. Tears of regret appeared and they were falling down as they never did before,the feeling of guilt taking position in her body was just too much.

"Are you crying?"

"Why do you care it's not like you have any obligation,you should just handle your own business and leave me alone. You and Rosé can continue the trip I have an investigation to do."

"Another one?! When I finally though we can go somewhere to rest and get rid of the rubbish in our minds,you have an investigation."

"It's more like a cremation. I don't want Arlo to see so please get him somewhere else.

The parts of the corpse were still spread all over the ground.

"Calista,I have an idea!"

"What?"

"I can burn the corpse using magic."

"Ok."

A circle of fire is forming on the ground,fire jumping on every part of the corpse. Surprisingly the ground didn't even catch the fire after the magic was disabled.

"Done,now we can go and investigate other matters."

"Do you even have any idea on how the enemy looks like?"

"I don't and I don't need to know yet,all I can do is guide myself by signs. For example if a leaf is on the right side I will go on the right side,if both sides have leafs I'll get guided by my own mind."

"You really are surprising,how do you even plan on defeating the enemy?"

"With my abilities, didn't you see what happened to that man, he explodes along with the energy ball. If it doesn't work, I'm afraid I will have to accept defeat for the first time."

As the leaves were falling on all sides, Calista guided herself by her own mind, taking Rosé's hand into hers. Arlo following them.

"You have smooth skin. I like it. In fact I actually love how it feels."

"Thanks,I get this a lot. I also think your skin is smooth and pleasurable at touch. Your hand is warm but the only thing that kind of bothers,is that your palm is sweating."

"I'm sorry. It's just that, I'm not used to people touching me. I only touched my own hands, nobody else,I love how your skin is smooth,my skin is in fact too but as you said the sweating palm is a huge problem."

"I just want to let you know,I took your hand because,I want to protect you. I know you have magic but I think that as a princess, I'm supposed to protect fellow people."

"If your really wanted to do that,you would have held me too."

Said Arlo while rolling his eyes at Calista, looking with a slight jealously at Rosé.

He walks faster and leaves the two behind him.

"Are you crazy? Do you want to get yourself killed? At least wait for us!"

"If you want to be at the same pace,run."

"Alright!"

As she runs,her speed increased at every few meters.

"How did you do that?"

"Magic,but it wasn't mine,it was Rosé's power."

"You are really cool!"

"I know." Stated Rosé with a wide smile on her face.

The thoughts in Rosé's mind were like a trash can,her mind was fixated on two things: Calista and her own plan.

Since her birth,she wasn't ever appreciated for who she really was. The craving of telling Calista she is an outsider too,almost ate her brain. The universe they were in was in fact real not only a game. A portal could simply transport the three of them back to the regular universe. But she didn't want to tell Calista. She just wanted to spend her time with Calista.

Since she really can't tell her that she's in fact the one she is searching for.
