Returning to Boho

After staying in Nego for five days, he went straight to Ilo with five of his chosen men. Qadir intended to travel non-stop from Ilo to Boho after he met with Commander Oahk. However, he couldn't be impulsive anymore and neglect his responsibility to his subordinates, and traveled with them for 18 days on land in the usual manner. Traveling dangerous places with a small group can be either advantageous or disadvantageous—monsters are expected to be predatory and ferocious. The group can easily conceal themselves without too much disturbance and on the other hand, should they engage with a Herculean beast, they could be a scrumptious feast in no time.

Getting out from Ilo's boundary was already a pain in the neck. Qadir's group doesn't have to deal with each of the monsters. Instead, they strategized on how they could use the enemies fighting with each other and avoid them directly. They concealed their horses and positioned them strategically for their swift escape should things won't turn their way.

"Cadette Leuve, can you use your skill to identify the strongest from our position?"

"I'm estimating we're 100 meters away from them. I will try, Captain!"

Cadette Leuve concentrated and emitted a subtle silver aura. They are the only family that can emit silver auras. They say it is one of the rarest aura presences in the Magic Circle along with transparent white, which denotes the pure blessing of the gods; and indigo, which signifies a mysterious and powerful individuality. It was believed that only the Great Shadow can emit an indigo aura.

Silver auras are usually subtle as the mana core is hard to manipulate. It is magical but not as prodigious as the indigo.

"It's the medium-sized orc; the one holding a golden curved sword."

Cadette Leuve kept her eyes closed keeping the strongest orc in check.

"How about the others? What's the situation?"

Qadir came closer to the cadette.

"Others carry bows and arrows, long swords, and axes. There are more or less 20 orcs. The strongest hasn't moved from its position and it seems like it's waiting for something."

Suddenly, the cadette opened her eyes and started to conjure a dome barrier. The archers shot their arrows in their direction at high speed.

"Yaaaahhh!... You creepy monster!"

Cadette Leuve screamed her lungs out and the barrier radiated a brilliant light.

"How dare you glare at me like that, you monster!"

"Rai!"

Her comrade called for her noticing her trembling, angered teary eyes.

"Agor—he's eyes… are eating me alive!"

Rai bawled unabashedly like a baby. Others stared at each other having no idea if she was scared or annoyed.

The strongest orc sensed Rai's presence and was astonishingly able to connect to her right away. Its eyes looked piercing daggers straight at her

Agor sighed at her and held her close to him from behind. Rai was startled and blushed.

"When I say 'let go', leap."

Without any moment to respond, Agor instructed Rai to leap. A gentle, deep, and suave voice resonated in Rai's ears and made her think Agor was seducing her at that moment. That long, slender, and yet brawny arm hugging her; his yellow gold eyes reflecting her ethereal image; his lips that are warm pink look like fresh salmons. Rai lifted her arms and embrace Agor. Her charming smile undeniably radiated a bright pink aura.

"It's time to get back to reality, princess…"

Agor snapped at Rai waking her up from her fantasies.

"Wha… what happened?"

Rai, red-faced, backed away from Agor and fixed her stance. They were now on top of a tree while others have also positioned themselves, waiting for the rushing orcs towards their direction.

"While you're in another world, we have planned what to do."

The straight-faced Agor said those words as cool as a cucumber.

"How can you say those words like they are nothing, eh?"

Rai pouted at him and crossed her arms.

"We will go back on the ground—use your arrows… Rigo will conceal your presence once they come for you… so prepare."

"Kyyaaaah! Are you making me a bait?"

"The strongest one seemed to like you."

"You—"

Even before Rai could finish her sentence, Agor held her again and jumped off the tree.

"I'll be right behind you."

"Whatever!"

Rai drew her bow and readied her mana-fueled arrows as Rigo prepared to cast his magic on her.

"Archer's paradox…"

Rai whispered to her bow and the arrow multiplied to three and shone brilliantly. The arrows flew in three directions making three orcs fall in an instant.

The orcs aimed at Rai.

"Hey! That's unfair… I'm not only your enemy here."

She was then masked and Agor showed up from behind. Rai pulled back once her presence was hidden and leaped on top of a tree.

Agor sprinted and aggressively strike the orcs coming forth. Rigo cast a protection spell at him to avoid him getting attacked. The captain conjured his magic.

"Viento spikes!"

Antagonistic wind projectiles nailed the orcs on the ground and another spell was cast to suppress them.

"Viento ahogar!"

One orc sprung behind Agor; attacking him from above. The fire mage cast his spell and shoved him on the ground.

"Pyro blast!"

"Thank you, Wilo!"

The orcs continued rampaging. Rai attacked from above while the others stayed on the ground. Ilo's monsters are intellectual, willfully strong, and are driven by bloodlust.

"Alas! They are regenerating."

Rigo exclaimed as he thinks of how many times does he have to take on an orc.

"Hey, Rigo! Look in front of you."

Rai called for Rigo directing his sight towards Wilo and Agor.

"Eh? How did they do it?"

Rigo saw a pile of dead orcs.

"Aim for their core, above the solar plexus."

The blonde girl stepped on a dead orc and pointed to the part where the core can be found.

"How'd you know about that, Blair?"

"You should've studied hard instead of sleeping in class, superior Rigo."

Rigo scratched the back of his head.

"Hey, Rigo! What a shame that a junior has to teach you a lesson, eh?"

"Captain, please stop making fun of me!"

"Sword, kid, not words!"

The captain dashed towards Rigo's back and directly thrust his sword to the orc's vital point. He almost missed the part when the orc abruptly squeezed his left shoulders, disabling him.
