Hindrance classes
The date is 2021, November 11th. 2 years, 7 months, 22 days, 11 hours and 55 minutes Before the world changing event happens!
[Narrator]
Cole looks down the staircase, showing concern.
[Cole]

[Narrator]
Cole makes it down to the first floor without any issues. However, the more he walks down the stairs, the more concerned he gets. As Cole makes his way from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor he comes across a door that seems different from the rest of the school.
[Cole]
Why is every door in this school so tall?
[Narrator]
As Cole opens the door and takes a few steps into the room that resembles the cafeteria, he notices a huge variety of seats and tables spread across most of the cafeteria, somewhat filled with students of different races and unique hairstyles.
[Cole]
(I'm starting to like this school already!)
[Narrator]
As Cole thought this, a slight but noticeable smile formed on his face, presumably out of nervousness, he realizes that he doesn't have a tables during this lunch period. Cole begins to look around the cafeteria for a seat, managing to spot a round table with some students sitting around. Still nervous, Cole decides that his best course of action is to approach the table and interact with the students.
[Cole]
Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?
[Student wearing a hoodie]
Yeah no problem, you can take a seat.
[Narrator]
As Cole is sitting down on the table with a group of students, he notices two students who look similar and other students on the table having a conversation. He decides to put his head down due to being nervous about talking to people he doesn't know and starts falling asleep. Time quickly passes and Cole is woken up by a loud ringing sound.
[School bell]
RRRRRRRRINGGGGGGGGG
[Narrator]
Cole was somewhat frightened by the school bell, quickly raising his head to see what was going on.
[Cole]
(What was that!?)
[Narrator]
Cole looks around the cafeteria, observing students leaving and going back to the third floor.
[Cole]
Damn, lunch is over already?
[Student wearing a hoodie]
yeah lunch is an hour long, then we go back upstairs. Also, to let you know if you don't make it back to class before the 2nd bell rings then you're late to class.
[Narrator]
Cole and the group of students he was sitting at lunch with begin walking up the same flight of stairs Cole originally walked down from. The students seem to be giggling and talking amongst themselves.
[Cole]
(What are they talking about?)
[Narrator]
The group parted ways after making it to the 3rd floor. Cole takes out the paper with his schedule on it and lightly skims trough it.
[School bell]
Ringggggggg ringggggggg
[Narrator]
The school bell rings again to indicate that a new period has started.
[Cole]
(6th period... means I've got Spanish class.)
[Narrator]
Cole walks down the hall, following the room number. As he does, he stumbles across a door seemingly smaller than the other doors of this school.
[Cole]
(So this is where Spanish class is, huh?)
[Narrator]
As Cole opens the door, he sees an elderly woman Standing in front of the class. Students started staring at Cole at the same time.
[Cole]
(Damn, why do they all got to look at me at once?}
[Narrator]
The classroom is mostly quiet, beyond the silence of looking at Cole. The elderly woman breaks the silence and asks him a question.
[Elderly Woman]
Hi, I'm the teacher here. I've never seen you in my class before, are you new?
[Cole]
Ah, yes. I've just transferred to this school today actually.
[Elderly Woman]
Okay, sure. that's no problem. I am Mrs. Serena and I teach this Spanish class, Please take a seat.
[Narrator]
Cole proceeds to sit at one of the corners in the classroom, Sharing a desk with two other students.
[Elderly Woman]
Since you're new here, you probably don't have a Spanish notebook and workbook.
[Narrator]
Mrs. Serena goes behind her desk and digs through one of the drawers, taking out a regular black and white spotted notebook and a huge workbook, giving it to Cole.
[Mrs. Serena]
Since you're new, you won't have to do much today. Just follow along and you can start working tomorrow.
[Cole]
Thank you Mrs. Serena, I'll try to listen to and understand today's lesson. [Mrs. Serena] Before I forget, What is your name?
[Cole]
Oh right, my name is Cole.
[Narrator]
After a great deal of time has passed of the period the bell rung, Indicating the end of class. Cole reaches into his pockets to look at what class he has next But notices two students getting into a heated argument. He decides to mind his own business and walk past them.
[Cole]
(Hmmmm, I wonder what class is next...)
[Narrator]
Cole checks the schedule list and discovers that his 7th period is History.
[School bell]
RRRRRRRRINGGGGGGGGG
[Cole]
(Oh, Crud! I must be late to class.)
[Narrator]
As Cole starts panicking and looking around, Someone lightly taps his shoulder.
[Unknown Figure]
Hey, you're late for class. You should start heading there now.
[Narrator]
When Cole turns around, he sees a Middle-aged woman, taller than him and wearing an outfit with the School's logo. [Unknown Faculty Member] I've never seen you around here, are you new or something? What's your name?
[Cole]
Ah yes, I just transferred here today, My name is Cole.
[Unknown Faculty Member]
Okay Cole, its nice to meet you. Show me your schedule so I can guide you to your next class.
[Narrator]
The unknown faculty member walks with Cole to his new class, talking to him along the way about the school and what to expect from classes and other students. During the conversation, Cole learns that the unknown faculty member's name is Mrs. Travis. They come across a classroom with a door that looks like an older wood model compared to the regular metal door.
[Mrs. Travis]
Well, this should be your history class right? Walk in and try to fit in.
[Narrator]
Mrs. Travis goes down the hall she and Cole came from. Cole opens the old wooden door and sees a "Smartboard" playing a history video. The students and teacher all focus their attention onto Cole.
[Unknown History Teacher]
Well you must be the new student we were informed about? I am Mrs. Keller and this is the 7th period class. Your name is Cole, correct?
[Narrator]
Cole nods his head.
[Mrs. Keller]
Well, since it is your first day, you can just relax and socialize with everyone and try to make some friends.
[Narrator]
Mrs. Keller points to an area of desks and nearly every seat was filled. Cole spots the same two students he sat next to in Spanish class and proceeds To walk over to the empty seat next to them, taking off his bag and taking a seat.
[Mrs. Keller]
So Cole, we're just going to watch a few quick videos about European Empires, how they rose to the top and fell down due to their enemies Or overthrown by unhappy citizens.
[Narrator]
As Cole watched the videos on the "Smartboard" attempting to understand what was being shown, he felt the gaze of the other students towards him. He tries his best to ignore it and focus on the "Smartboard".
[School bell]
Ringggggggg Ringggggggg.
[Narrator]
Cole, still feeling somewhat uneasy and nervous, walks through the crowd of students coming from both directions to go to his last period classroom. The door is already open and Cole is the first student to arrive, Cole walks into the class and sees a Pregnant lady eating a pretzel, legs crisscross on the teachers desk, leaning back on the chair. She looks at Cole.
[Pregnant Teacher]
Who the hell are you? I've never seen you before, you must be new. Whatever just grab one of the book copies over there from the stack and take a seat.
[School Bell]
RRRRRRRRINGGGGGGGGG
[Narrator]
The 2nd bell rings, indicating the start of the new period. Some of the same students from history start entering the classroom, Taking a seat or picking up the books. Cole is dumbfounded by the unprofessional behavior shown by the teacher But he decides to listen to what she says and doesn't cause a scene. Cole sits down near the corner of the classroom where its hard to notice him If you're someone entering the class.
[Cole]
(What's her problem anyways? There's no way for her to act this way towards me, I'm a new student after all!! Lets see here, the book seems to be talking about a girl getting caught up in a horrible human trafficking act at fault of her deadbeat step-father's with his gambling issues).
[Pregnant Teacher]
Well students, male, female, whatever the hell you call yourselves these days open up the book to page 47 and start reading.
[Narrator]
The students go around taking turns reading the pages of the book as Cole still feels uneasy from what happened in history class with the students glaring at him As well as the pregnant English teacher's unprofessional behavior towards him class passes fairly quickly without any other issues.
[School Bell]
Zringgggg
[Narrator]
The school bell makes a slightly different sound to indicate the school day has ended. Cole picks up his unique and colorful bookbag and leaves the class alongside the other students.
