Into the bright lights of the city

I landed in New York, and already my senses were overwhelmed by the smells, the sounds, and the bright city lights. I was caught off guard from taking the city in, when my pen pal decided to shout "hey Forest" I turned around and there was Penelope, she smelled even prettier than she looked. Penelope used to go to middle school with me, back then I knew her as Jack, but we all have a way of changing.
