Coming out of the woods

I'm sure you've heard many stories about werewolves and what not. But the truth about us is that we tend to live like Gypsies, but in the forest, we are taught at a young age to hunt and to thank Mother Earth for the bounty. My name is Forest Moonbeam and I am about to turn 21, which is when the pack tends to let you go out into the world, most tend to return where few stay. I decided to go to New York, but I feel I am getting ahead of myself. A few things about me other than my age, is that I am from Maine, I am 6 feet tall, I have long black hair, blue eyes, and I'm tan from constantly being in the sun, oh and I am the son of the Alpha but that's irrelevant.

I am currently packing for New York as it is May and I heard the weather can be anywhere from 75 to 45.

I was really excited, my mom on the other hand... couldn't stop hugging me, my dad though, also wouldn't stop lecturing me on how I could have picked any place in the world and I chose New York. I have always been curious about the city, how busy it could be, the bright lights might hurt my wolf eyes, but that was a risk I was willing to take.

I rolled my eyes as they dropped me off at the airport, my mom hugged me one last time before asking me if I was sure I would want to do this. She means well, so I reassured her before heading off and waving goodbye, I could already tell this was going to be a long trip.
