Chapter 8: It must be restored

"Even if you managed to destroy me or the higher ones, you still cannot hide the fact that you cannot interfere with the story anymore, the plot itself was created by us, and you can safely say you halted the progression of the book by 5 chapters already, if this goes on, i'm afraid the book will take a different course" said the young lady as looked at The Chronicler expressionless.

"Hmph, it must be restored, the universe where August resides, i will make sure that the readers will see through the end of the story" The Chronicler then took out a notebook and a pen, a few seconds later, jet black fireballs emerged one by one, forming a 120 ring that is made of fireballs.

Then,The Chronicler launched it towards the Young Lady.

"Ink? You dare use one of our mediums against us? How funny" The Young Lady also responded with 100 red swords made of ink.

As the two attacks continued to collide with each other, the layers that protected the space began to shatter one by one at a rapid phase.

This is the boundary between Fiction and Reality, The Great Fourth Wall.

One had to know that, if the fight between The Chronicler and The Young Lady escalates and they manage to destroy the Great Fourth Wall.

The Real World and The Book will merge.

"This is bad, if we really manage to break The Great Fourth Wall, then my Real World will become a part of that book" the Young Lady then summoned a piece of paper and a pencil, the pencil crazily writes on the paper, before it vanished into thin air, the paper suddenly glows red and it also disappeared.

The Young Lady couldn't help but frown, she didn't expect that the strength of The Chronicler far surpasses hers, as an Author and one of the Guardian of The Great Fourth Wall.

The paper that vanished earlier was her call for reinforcements to deal with The Chronicler.

7.86 seconds later an elderly man with an average figure appeared before her, he started manifesting the power of The Great Fourth Wall and materialized a violet colored sword, the sword soon multiplied by a random amount each millisecond passed.

After 30 seconds materialized a total of  100,000,000,000 violet swords.

"Margaret, this fellow is strange, he can casually deflect your attacks while moving forward" the elderly man said to margaret.

"Senior Stan, I am but a small author and my powers are limited, perhaps you could make a difference after you attack" Margaret replied, as a 19 year old online web novel writer, her over-all abilities as an author is simply crude compared to Stan a professional author and comic writer, majority of his works are presented into big screens and the average reader of his comics far surpassed a hundred million.

The strength of an author isn't determined by fame, prestige, and popularity of his name or his works, instead, it is based on their skills, vocabulary, and professionalism as an Author.

The more skilled and well known an author is, the stronger the power they can draw within the fictional world as they naturally have a deeper understanding in it. Professionalism of an Author represents their temperament and the aura they give off when they are inside a fictional verse.

Naturally, Authors cannot manifest their power within the real world, The Fourth Great Wall, prevents any interaction between reality and fiction.

Although many characters from different stories have an awareness that The Great Fourth Wall exists, some even have the ability to bypass it and remain in the real world for a period of time.

These feats however, are minimal and are often disregarded as a threat towards the real world. Even if they can bypass The Great Fourth Wall, it is hard for them to destroy the layers that separate fiction and reality.

Going back to the story, Stan launches all his materialized swords towards The Chronicler, Naturally an attack that came from an Author with decades of experience, he felt a little sense of threat that comes from it.

'It can barely scratch me' The Chronicler thought, so he raised his guard and condensed 200,000,000,000 black holes into a defensive ability that can absorb an attack and slowly shred it into nothingness, rendering half of stan's attack ineffective. As for the other half, The Chronicler planned to counter it with his own attack.

He then summoned a pen and started drawing a Black-Gold Scythe, the Black-Gold Scythe instantly manifest and he held it tightly before swinging it a hundred times. Each swing releases a shock wave of pure energy which collides against Stan's remaining swords.

The Chronicler then opened his book and looked up about the information of The Great Fourth Wall.

[ The Great Fourth Wall: Is a wall that is protected by 999,999,999,999,999,999,999 layers that prevents a collision between a fictional verse and the real world where the Author resides.

Remaining Layers: 999,999,999,999

Layer Regeneration Speed, 999,999,999/milli-seconds.]

'Such a pain in the ass, I need to exceed its regeneration speed which is backed by these two Authors, to successfully start the merging between my verse and their real verse.

It seems like i needed to summon my 'selfs' to deal this pain-in-the-ass-wall.

The Chronicler simply let out a smile while staring at the two Authors in front of him, desperately

trying to protect The Great Fourth Wall.
