Chapter Five : You know nothing about me
Vanessa stood there for a while confused with the way this Slyvester guy just acted. Collecting herself together , she finally decided to rest her head. It's been a long day today , feeling so many emotions today wasn't good for her . Some how she felt drawn to him and somehow she wanted to distant herself. She had goals to achieve and Slyvester would not be the hindrance.
*******A week later*****
Vanessa woke up early to go to work. Today is another Monday in the month of August. She took a quick shower and put on a burlap sack with a tight gown that ended about 5 inches above her knees. This kind of dressing really shouted her beauty . " Good morning boss" Taylor , her driver and guard greeted as he opened the door for Vanessa to enter the car.
Her blue suburban fit her perfectly with her blue burlap sack and black straight gown and blue heels. " Taylor can you do me a favour?" she asked the middle aged man as he buckled his seat belt. " Yes miss "
" I need you to find out all you know about Slyvester Yang . Your team should forward all the information to me , personally. My dad mustn't know about it ". She said and the man nodded before zooming off. ' The man seems strange ' She thought inwardly.
****** Elsa Dumoreés fashion enterprise****
Vanessa stepped into the modelling and fashion designing company that she made in her mother's name.
Nobody knew the owner but they were all being paid well so they all kept their inquisitive minds shut. She entered the company and received some greeting from some of the staffs while she greeted some . As she walked into the designing department , she heard a masculine voice speak behind her " Good morning Vanessa "
She turned back to meet her co_worker , Mike. He was the design manager and she the director. " Morning , Mike. How's it going?" She asked
" Great!....um....any new designs?....Les see if we could wrap it up for the boss before our Annual auctions comes up" He said .
" Yes. please come let me show you " she replied with a kind gesture. She greeted her new secretary and co-worker Rebecca.
They went to the art room where she worked , she was chief designer and director because her good talent it drawing up great designs , her designs were always more unique and new blowing off the people's minds." Here" She said and handed him the new designs she drew
" Great. I'd meet the boards and we'd see about it. Keep I up director" He said and left.
To the normal world , she's just a chief designer and top model but deep within , she knew she was the real boss of this company but she chose to hide her identity until she made it to the top ten best designing and fahion_modelling enterprise.
She wouldn't the deny the fact that her company has experienced a progress like no other since she started it 5 years ago but she couldnt compare herself with the giants like ; Balenciaga ,Dior ,LouisVitton, Dolce&Gabbana, Gucci , Celine ecetra.
Her thought were interrupted by the sudden buzz of her cellphone. She glanced at the caller ID , it was Taylor.
" Hello" She said immediately she picked up the call.
" Miss I forgot to remind you but you have a meeting in the next 30 minutes with Master Yang for the combined clothing and textile production for unisex "
" Oh .....um how would I go about it Taylor you should have told me....Alright , approve and let them in.....let them wait for me in the he meeting room "
She packed her bags and looked around before falling the blinds. Vanessa pressed a button and her shelf turned over revealing a secret mini room (actually a closet), changed her dress and put on a blonde wig before opening a door that led to a secret elevator to the CEOs room.
She first glanced at the mirror from inside her purse and put on some makeup and fake medicated glasses before leaving. As the elevator opened she looked at her wrist watch , oh no .....she'd spent more than 30 minutes in changing her clothes.
She arrived at the CEOs office to calm her nerves and appreciate her false look before going to the meeting room where other directors , head of department and managers were waiting together with Slyvester and two other people who accompanied him.
" I apologise for the delay " Vanessa said immediately she entered . The board directors looked towards the direction the voice was coming from and they were amazed.
It was the first time they were meeting the CEO of the company. So it was a woman that owned the company. No wonder they only produced female wears.
"Well miss.....I'm used to attending meetings here and this is the first time we meet with you and you just proved not to be prompt . is this how late you attend to all your activities?" Slyvester said angrily.
" I've apologized to you Mr Yang , there's nothing more we can do than proceed to the meeting " She said in a composed manner.
" Apology accepted miss ...., Slyvester placed pressure on the miss as if asking for her name .
" Please call me Valerie ....The company is named after my mother.... Dumoreés is just a fantasy" She said snarky and then the meeting commenced.
All through the meeting, Slyvester observed her . He noticed the way she talked , her voice, her facial expressions when certain ideas , suggestions or points were raised . Her sitting posture . She looked familiar despite her heavy make up that made her look elegant and wealthy , she looked like someone he knew. ' Hmm.....Valerie.....he thought inwardly . The name's very confusingly similar.
Where had he heard the name or in fact , met this lady.. even her voice her body , her aura , her scent, her posture
urgh!!!
.Pay attention Slyvester.
" So...what to you think about the offer miss..."Slyvester said again, trying to make the girl talk as she was too silent in the meeting.
"Vane....umm.....no....Valerie...I'm Miss Valerie, you know what... just call me Vee" She said as she fanned herself with her hands as she just realized that she almost spilled the beans herself.
Sylvester's gaze at her tightened and he smirked a little.
Just who was this girl??
It seemed like the CEO of this company is really trying to hide something but what exactly??
Why is she trying to hide??
He looked at her and then cleared his throat.
" Well....Miss Vee do you think we could actually have a joint production??" he asked with piercing gaze
" I will think about it Mr Yang...but let's get to the details ....what's the reason for the deal and what does your company have to offer??"
She asked in an ignorant manner that made Sylvester's assistant looked at her with wide eyes .
'What does our company have to offer???...this lady was taking to the fashion and textile business guru , tyrant and most popular company all over the world and just partnering with them could take her company to the next level and she talked so ignorantly ???
The assistant felt so insulted.
Not just him but his boss.
This woman just doubted their ability.

The meeting ended well and was adjourned to another day for final conclusions before the companies would merge ideas and do a combine close clothing production and auction . With the sponsorship of two other companies one including the Chen's Enterprise.
Immediately Vanessa came out from her secret passage , fear gripped her as she was unexpectedly greeted by some questioning eyes . " What are you doing here ?" She managed to ask Mike. " I knocked several times in your door so I decided to check out if you were alright" .
Immediately , Vanessa cursed for not checking if she locked the door before leaving.
" but I should be the one questioning you" Said Mike with eyes that pierced into her soul as if accusing her if committing sin.
He then added " Where are you coming from?...is that a secret passage behind that shelve of yours?"
" No!! , it's just my personal restroom" Vanessa said blocking Mike from going further. She looked scared and just as Mike predicted , she was actually hiding something.
That was why she always locked her door and fell the curtains
But why???
With her actions , Mike could tell there was something fishy with her not that , there's always been something fishy about her form the start.
" Vanessa....I know you.....I know you've been hiding something " He said in a manner as if he caught her red handed and there was no need to lie.
Panicked , Vanessa yelled " You don't know anything about me!!"
Immediately , Mike fell to the ground.
