Actually I really like the story but sigh I hate the male lead. No. Its not hate, but loath. Seriously I'm so disappointed with him. The first time I read this book, I drop it immediately. I couldn't take it when he's cheating. Then I reread again because the writing and the story and I told to myself that "It's okay, since they only had a contractual marriage, so it does makes sense if he has a lover out there". But to think he wouldn't spare her wife bestfriend? That's it. That's my limit. And not one? But two? Are you freaking out of your mind? Are you only capable to think with your dick? I'm so sorry for Lin Ruoxi, they tried to build a proper marriage. And they TALKED about it. But this lowly fucking idiot male lead still unfaithful to her? This male lead really the worst. I really hope that Lin Ruoxi just move on and be with someone else that treat her with love and respect. When I tried to read in another platfrom, it has 900-ish chapters. So I skipped it and jump into the last chapter. I read a few chapters and I read that Lin Ruoxi and that lowly male lead got married ceremony. I was so happy, I think that scum finally being faithful to Lin Ruoxi. So I begin to reread again because I want to know how the development of the male lead being faithful. But, I get disappointed again and again. Turns out that's only a joke. An unfaithful man will always be an unfaithful man. Like a duck never become a swan. I really regret read this novel.

The story is well developed and the story line is different, even though it starts with the usual beginning of most wuxia/chinese novel but the story line is all fresh with it's own content. The development pace of the story is quite okay too. Looking forward to more. The male lead character is quite deep.

I'm not sure of how to put this but if you're looking for a typical modern type theme story, I bet this isn't something that you should be reading. But if you are into new read finds, this story is complex as it was, it doesn't revolve in a single mainstream plot to the point that you can just ignore the title itself. Them pal you are in the right page and start checking out Chapter 1 to read it. For the male Lead: I'm having a headache just to understand how many lovers he has. Its unbearable for those type of readers that loves to promote 1:1 relationship. I mean you'll suffer by how brazen the ML was. But all in all, the good part in this guy is, he was strong and if he really loves a woman, he would love her for all of his heart. Yeah you can just imagine that he was an emperor well he is indeed a deity in the story so I guess its suits his character. I really can't blame this character of how much he yearns for love. I mean he's upbringing is pitiful and it’s just that he looks for the missing puzzle of his life from those lovers and his dear wife. This character is also funny that I enjoy the part in which the author would just add some fresher comedy where he was in. If I had a wish the ML should lessen his drives when seeing beautiful ladies. *sigh. In the first 300 chapters, I really wanted to drop this one since I had enough of how unfaithful he is. But I stop thinking about it and focus on reading since even if he has one hell of harem. His advices are something worth reading for, he’s like a hermit in some cases and I had to admit that he is someone who experienced the ups and downs of the world. For the Female Lead: My first impression on this girl is that, SHE IS COMPLICATED. I love how the author created her image being a cunning CEO. She has a lot of schemes and plots under her sleeves. Most of all, she was the first one who subdue that ML womanizer. Their relationship has a bumpy start. And her character development is something that the readers must wait. A surprising revelation would await everyone in the end but heartbreaks lies on the roadside. Her screen time is a bit lacking for me it’s like the author takes great lengths while telling the side of the Lovers. I rather read the fighting part that reading the part where the ML please his lovers. It’s kinda cringy which I always prayed that the FL would appear out of nowhere just to please my mood while I keep on reading this. Its like food that gone bland in some cases and I admit that I have to endure it since I want to finish reading the story. The common side of both ML and FL was, the both suffered at a young age. In some point of their lives, their situation even reverses by how the plot progress. Though her husband is being unfaithful to her. The ML was always the first one who ask for forgiveness (He deserves the suffering though sometimes) and started to mend their relationship when they experience some storm or fallout. Though the ML has multiple lovers he on the other hand cannot give up on the FL at all. He even gives a beautiful wedding surprise to the FL (I love this part the most.). I only stayed and read all the story up to 2600+ chapters MTL trans for the sake of ML and FL development. As for his other lovers, I honestly don't care. Hahaha. I find them bit*hy as to why they have to be swayed by the ML. I know he was capable but those bit*hes are really muddleheaded. It’s like their rationality are all gone. Honestly they are testing my limits of if I should read their parts on not. I love how the Author incorporate the part of Mythologies “Greek/Roman” part but in some of the chapters it kinda boring. I really wish that the story flow is consistent but well, surprise arise you just have to stomach it. It also include Oldbloods(Angels/Demon, Vampires, Werewolves(Wolverines)). Though this the story really pictures out the darkside of humanity based on how the attitude of the characters (Honest people are rare as a gem in this novel), it is better that the reader would just ignore the ‘countries’ involved or being depicted and think of this as an alternate universe. if you don’t end up getting mad since some real time problems are added on the novel as part of its element. Honestly you can search some of the problem (Foreign/Local related) over the net and see real articles or news about it. I don’t really know if its intentional or not but I don’t want to probe deeper on it. If the author would love to make some changes though I highly doubt it will. I want to demand to have a lot of screen-time for the sub character "Sauron". That Earl is a MAN!!!

Another Chinese novel that promotes misogyny and ambivalent ***ist. Never have I ever loaded a ML as I loathe this one. The people who are enjoying stories like these must be sick. And if you thought translating this novel was a good idea then think again.

The only annoying thing about this story is the male lead who never treated his wife well. She deserves a better man than what she got and also this author has been writing this story since 2011 and her update is slow. It's becomong extremely too cliche for my likely.
