Sport festival (part 3)

The final stage of the sport festival of UA was going to begin.

It consisted into a battle tournament.

Just as the break before the final event xas about to begin, Ojiro Mashiro requested withdrawal from the event.

his classmates tried to convince him to not do that, that it was a rare opportunity to show his talents but he was too stubborn, he thought that he didn't deserve to participate in the final event.

As he was discussing with his friends, he sent a glare at Hitoshi, seemed that he found out what happened during the cavalry battle.

"He is smart, looks like he found out what I did to him" Hitoshi said with a grim, it was hard to tell if he was annoyed that the blond boy knew about his quirk and would warn his future opponent or if he was excited by the challenge that would represent.

"That shouldn't be a problem for you anymore after all the training you got!" Ryuu stated with a bored face. 

"It's time for the break, I'll prepare my equipment !" Mana said as she left her friends while waving at them.

"And you what do you plan to do?"

"I'll take a nap after a cup of tea!" Ryuu replied while yawning.

"The same as ever !" Hitoshi said in a complaining tone followed by a sighed.

"What about you?"

"I'll greet my opponent!" Hitoshi said with a grin.

"See you later then!" 

With these words Ryuu left.

Hitoshi then went towards a green haired boy.

"You are Izuku Midoryia, right?" he said to attract hr boy's attention.

Before that the boy reply, his mouth was covered by the tail of Ojiro.

"Don't answer him!" the blond boy said with his eyes locked on Hitoshi.

The blond boy seemed to have understood the way Hitoshi's quirk works.

Hitoshi didn't insist any further and left.

Due to the withdrawal of Mashiro, one member of the team Kendo should have taken his place but they refused and said that team Tetsutestu deserved it more than them, due to what Tetsutetsu replaced Ojiro in the tournament.

During the break there was many mini games for the students, some of the A class girls even participated as cheerleaders.

~~in the corridor of the stadium~~

--Ring--

Ryuu's phone rang.

"Yes?"

Ryuu's face turned into a dark one as heard what his interlocutor was saying.

"Yes, understood! Keep an eye on him!"

After these words he ended the call.

He sighed and put up his usual expression.

~~Back in the stadium~~

The pairing for the battles were announced, the first battle was opposing Midoriya to Hitoshi.

He joined Mana in the spectators' seats.

Ryuu was greatly interested on the level of Midoriya, that boy was supposed to be All Might successor after all, he sould be at least able to beat Hitoshi if he is really planning of becoming the number one hero.

"Let's see how strong he is!"

Ryuu was totally focused on the match. Mana mooked at him intrigued.

"Do you think that Hitoshi can win against someone from the hero course?"

She asked that question on curiosity but for Ryuu it was hard to answer. He wanted to see Hitoshi win but a part of himself thought that Midoriya was the one that should win that match.

After all if the successor of All Might weak enough to be beaten by a high school student with no real fighting experience, he would stand a chance against the villains that would come in the near future.

"With all his training, he should be ok!"

The boy tried to evade the question.

Mana was aware of that fact but didn't insist any further not wanting to annoy him.

Just as they finished their little talk, the match began.

~~On the ring~~

Midoriya looked watchful on Hitoshi's move.

Hitoshi noticed it and understood what it meant.

Ojiro surely told him about Hitoshi's quirk during the break.

"Giving up…"

Hitoshi talked with his tired look and with a bored tone.

"These battles are just there to test our determination."

"If we believe in our future, we shouldn't hesitate."

As he said that the voice of Present Mic echoed in the sadium.

"READY?" he said.

"The other monkey earlier talked about pride…" Hitoshi continued.

"START!"

"…but that idiot just let an opportunity go, right?"

At hearing these words, Midoriya's face showed an emerging anger.

"What did you just say?" Midoriya stepped forward towards Hitoshi with an angry face.

He didn't appreciate that someone was making fun of his friend choice.

But unfortunately for him, that was exactly what his opponent wanted.

As he responded to Hitoshi, he immediately went under his quirk control.

Hitoshi grinned as he saw that his plan worked.

"This is my win!" Hitoshi declared.

Ojiro could be heard complaining from his seat, "I've already told you to not answer!"

Midoriya was totally motionless.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING? IT THE FIRST MATCH WE ARE WAITING FOR THR SPECTACLE!" Present Mic complained.

"THE MATCH HAS ONLY BEGUN AND MIDORIYA HIS STUNNED!"

"DID HITOSHI SHINSO FOUND OUT MIDORIYA'S WEAK POINT?" Present Mic asked in his comment.

"WHAT AN UNEXPECTED SITUATION! WILL HE DETHRONE THE NUMBER ONE?" he added.

"I envied you for a long time, you and those with these perfect quirks, but now… becoming hero isn't only booked for you guys!"

Hitoshi was always envious regarding those with strong physical quirk, effectively those with that kind of quirk were those that had better chance to become heroes, after all he was always treated like a villain due to his quirk which made him develop a complex regarding physical quirks like Midoriyas.

Midoriya under his control, Hitoshi ordered him to get out of the ring.

In the room from where Present Mic was commenting the match, Aizawa was reading Hitoshi's files.

As he got the info from the files that Eraserhead asked for, Present Mic announced Hitoshi's quirk to everyone in the stadium.

He had already met Hitoshi in the C-group but he didn't know his quirk yet.

Midoriya was forced to obey and slowly walked toward the limits of the ring, but as he was a step from being declared as the loser, a huge shock wave hit the stadium which nearly blew Hitoshi back.

It was Midoriya himself, he managed to somehow activate his quirk and did enough damage to himself to get free from Hitoshi's brainwashing.

"MIDORIYA WOKED UP" Present Mic announced and the crowd went in a roar.

The green haired boy didn't wait a second before launching his counter attack.

He thought that Hitoshi would be surprise and would let his guard down but unfortunately for him; the purple haired boy wasn't stunned too long.

The former Hitoshi would have reacted like that and panic but after all his training he was ready for that kind of situation.

Hitoshi grinned as he saw the green haired boy rushing at him.

"Nice try!" he whispered as he took a fighting stance.

Midoriya rushed at him and tried to push him out of the bonds, but Hitoshi planted his left leg on the ground and rotated following the trigonometric way to evade his attempt and countered with a punch in the face but Midoriya didn't let it down and went for another attempt but Hitoshi evade once again.

It was Hitoshi's turn to attack, he tried to perform a water hammer and his attack connected to his opponent and he was about to send him out of the bonds when Midoriya sent him backwards with a powerful blow; the green haired boy just pushed him back with his palm with his quirk but it was powerful enough to send Hitoshi slide backwards to the other end of the ring, he tried to stop himself with a kneeling pose but the blow was too powerful that when he stopped his track, his left foot was out of bonds.

It was Midoriya's victory!

Deception could be seen on Hitoshi's face.

But as was walking out of the stadium Midoriya called him out.

"Shinso!"

"Huh?"

Hitoshi looked back at the one whom beat him.

"What do you want" Hitoshi asked. The bitterness of defeat was still in his mouth.

"I just wanted to know why you want to become a hero!" the green haired boy stated. "You've mentioned that we with perfect quirks weren't the only one able to become heroes anymore!"

Hitoshi looked down and left the stadium while answering him.

"We can't always choose our dreams." He just replied.

He was about to enter in the gate to leave the arena when some of the students of the general course called him out.

"You were impressive Shinso!" one stated.

"Yeah, you're the general course star" another one stated.

"And it isn't all…" another one said will showing with his thumb some of the pro heroes that were watching the match discussing about Shinso behind him.

"His quirk would be helpful against villains!" one hero with a dinosaur-like looking face said. "I must get him!"

"UA was wrong to put him in the general course!" a green haired heroine stated.

"But there was a huge number of applicants, they couldn't take everyone in!" a hero with an amphibian looking costume responded her.

"He could have won if he had more real battle experience!" a robotic looking hero stated while he was arguing with his comrade.

"Did you hear that, Hitoshi? You have impressed everyone!" a student from the Hitoshi's class with a big smile.

As he heard these words, he turned his gaze towards the seats of Ryuu and Mana. As their eyes met, Ryuu gave him a thumb up while Mana was making a victory V with both of her hands.

The purple haired boy felt all the support that all these people were giving to him which made him smile.

"Based on our performance, we can be transferred to the Hero course!" Hitoshi said without even looking at Midoriya. "I've failed today but…I'll get into the hero course and I'll get graduated! You'll see, I'll be a better hero than you!"

"Ok!" Midoriya replied only to get immediately under Hitoshi's control again.

Hitoshi sighed.

"Usually people are always on their guards around me. Be careful or one could take advantage of your kindness!" he said with a smile as he freed the green haired boy from his quirk.

"At least… try to lose honourably!" he added.

Midoriya got what he meant and replied, "Yeah!" only to get under Shinso's control once again.

Hitoshi sighed, that boy was too easy to trick.

As he left the arena he didn't felt too much regrets, he was even feeling well. After all he managed to show his potential to all the present pro heroes. He may have lost the fight but he had opened new doors for his future.

~~Back to spectator's seats~~

"Hi guys!" Hitoshi saluted his friends as he joined them on the seats.

"Welcome back!" Mana said joyfully.

"Good match!" Ryuu simply said.

"Thanks! But I fill like I didn't do enough yet." Hitoshi replied with his tired looking face.

Ryuu looked at him and said, "Take a seat and look carefully at the next match!"

Hitoshi took a seat as Ryuu told him and waited for the next match to begin.

The next match was opposing Sero Hanta to Shoto Todoroki.

It was the fastest match ever. As soon as it began, Hanta sent his tapes on Todoroki and used it trying sent him out of bonds but Todoroki stopped himself with his ice and froze Hanta with the single move. Todoroki traped his opponent in a gigantic iceberg that was huge enough to overstep the dome of the stadium.

That move had stunned everyone in the stadium and even those who saw it from the outside.

Hanta wasn't able to move anymore, it was Todoroki's win.

"See?" Ryuu asked Hitoshi.

Hitoshi was stunned by the scene.

"That guy is a monster!" Mana stated.

"Yeah, and villains have even stronger monsters than him." Ryuu added.

Hitoshi then knew what was waiting him if he was to become a hero.

"You'll never be able to defy them in a power contest, you have your own weapons, use them to their full potential and you'll be able to match these monsters!" Ryuu said, he wanted to free Hitoshi from his complex.

"Yes, you're right! I have my own weapons!" Hitoshi regained his motivation.

Ryuu just smiled at him.

The next match was Kaminari Vs Mana.
