[ O Z ]

The adrenaline running through my body at this moment was one of the only things keeping me in this ring, I'd severely underestimated the sheer size of the man I was about to fight. Not to mention Elijah and Marco had been hyping me up all week.

I was getting cocky; I wasn't in Utah anymore. There were no more easy fights; this was San Francisco. And I was now standing in the ring with python, the best of the best.

Fuck, I'm so stupid.

I tried my best to look intimidating, but it did little to faze the titan in front of me. I turned back to Elijah and Marco, Elijah's eyes were glazed over smirking at someone in the crowd. But Marco looked at me and nodded before elbowing Elijah in the ribs.

I let out a sigh before turning back to python. He looked like the human version of a snake, this eyes were cold and hostile and he stood posed as if to attack at the drop of a hat. He was scary no doubt.

The announcer had now come into the ring to start the fight, he gestured for us to come towards him, and the impending sense of doom that had swirling around in my mind suddenly washed over my entire body and my body seemed to turn to goo.

"Now boys, the rules." He shifted his gaze between us before smirking. "There are none." I looked up at python, and he was already looking at me. No emotion could be seen in the eyes of this man. No hate, no fear, no glee, no excitement. His eyes were not a window to his soul but more of a stone wall guarding it.

I knew what my eyes were saying though, and so did he. They were saying, I'm fucked. He grunted at me before putting out his gloved fists, I bumped my own against his before turning around towards my corner.

"I'm fucked," I whispered harshly to Marco. Elijah chuckled in the background but I didn't pay much attention to my asshole of a cousin.

"Maybe, but you've gotta dip your toes in somewhere." Marco shrugged as he crossed his arms.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," I looked back at python who was talking to his trainer. "Were there no fights that didn't end with me getting my skull bashed in?"

"Yeah, but none of those little bitches could put you on the map the way even being in the ring with this guy could." Marco looked up at me with a shit eating grin.

"We're also taking bets on how far your brains splatter, I'm begging you, try to get fifteen feet if you don't make it out of the ring," Elijah sat on the stool outside the ring counting a stack of twenties as he laughed at his own joke. "Pretty sure we've made more money on this than every other fight you've been in combined."

"Exactly, big fights bring big bucks, Oz."

"I was talking about the brain splatter bets," He evened out the stack of money before putting it into the inside pocket of his jacket. "The people here really don't like you, this really is the place for me."

"Jealously is a cruel mistress,"

"I think the phrase you're looking for is fate, fate is a cruel mistress."

"My point still stands."

"Fighters! The fight is about to start." I frowned at Elijah before turning towards the center of the ring.

"Remember! Fifteen feet!" I rolled my eyes at Elijah, fucking dick.

Python and I stared at each other, he smirked, I swallowed. No one was taking the title from this man tonight, especially not me.
