Chapter# 19 The Mastermind Behind The Scenes

Harris saw Chris lying on th bed with no one around. He tried to open the door but found it locked. He fired two rounds on the door lock to open it and rushed inside. He found nobody in the room other than the body on the bed. He removed the sheets and found Chris's dead body.

He shouted to take the body immediately to the hospital and then started searching the room for another exit after wearing gloves. He started searching all the cabinets and drawers in the infirmary.

He found some bedsheets, medicine, and all the normal things found in an infirmary. While looking everywhere he found the remote for the screen and turned it on. There was no reception but a video suddenly started.

There was only black screen but the voice behind the scenes said, "I killed Chris. He was an old acquaintance of mine. I have got his friend, Aran in custody. Try one move and I might kill him. DO NOT TRY TO FIND ME. I can see your every move." After this a picture of Aran was shown on the screen.

Harris found a USB connected in the back of the screen. He put that USB into an evidence bag. He then resumed searching the room for the exit. While he was checking, the drawers located in bedside, he found a fake bottom of the bottom one. After successfully opening the bottom of the drawer. He found a button and clicked it.

There were some bombs connected to it and they detonated. Harris covered his head and jumped down the bed. But the officer standing near the door got fully blown by the bombs. After a little while, the officers remaining out of the base rushed straight in after hearing the sound.

They helped Harris out of the room, and rushed the officer to the hospital. Harris was also injured but he was intended by the doctor that was with the squad because his wounds were not that serious. After returning to the police department, Harris went to his HoD and told him about the whole incident and gave him the evidence bag.

The USB in the bag had broken because of the pressure of the weight of Harris himself. The thumbprints were collected from the broken pieces and were sent for analyzing. The remaining of USB was given to extract as much as possible.
