Chapter #10 An Unknown House

Aran as usual was following Chris silently, on a Tuesday morning, nearly 08 00 because he was curious where he was going so early in the morning. But he found that Chris was going for his daily morning jog. On a motorway Chris suddenly turned in a street where no living soul was to be seen. Aran, who was following in his car had to get out because then Chris might recognize the car and then ask awkward questions, for which he would then be speechless and would not be able to answer.

After going a little while on foot, he saw Chris turning towards a house. That turn made a lot of questions in Aran's mind like, Whose house was that in which he had to go so early?, Did he have a girlfriend and did not want anyone else to know about it? etc.

He was unable to proceed further, and with no one around he could not ask anyone about the house. After an unsuccessful attempt, Aran decided to head back home and come back later. Becoming late for classes was also one of the reasons he left so early without any further investigation.

Next three days he was unable to get any free time, because his exams were coming up and he had to prepare for that. These were last exams to be taken to get masters degree and they were extremely important for him. He had to postpone the stalking of his best friend and had to concentrate on his studies.

(3 Weeks Later)

He was finally able to get back to his original life without classes and did not want to study any further and start his career. But before that he had something important to do and that was to go to that street.

When he reached, as before there was no one around. He decided to stay out of that house and waited in the car outside the house. Nothing happened all day except a few cars passed by. No one got out of any house so he could confront them. He had a creepy feeling that somebody was keeping a watch on him as if checking him if he did any suspicious thing. But he could not find anyone and shaked it off as intuition.

Then he went to the police station as there was a job open for the cyber security specialist. After the interview, he stopped to talk to the receptionist. While waiting he saw a map in which that same area as that street was there. When receptionist came, Aran asked her about it.

She said, "That street is the considered to be the main base of a new gang found."
