The Battle of Ōno River 2

Matsuno waited with his men as Quatermasters would be coming soon with Chassepot rifles and such with about the amount of 472 of them as well with 4 more 20lb Parrot Rifles with the ammunition though that would have to wait till later on. The 2nd wave marched with 379 men marching down in formation as they were jogging down to go quickly further. The 20lb Parrot Rifles responded with the shots of case rounds blasting through the air and in the formations once again, though this time with devastating effects as the artillery men earlier had placed some soybean oil in the shell to cause fires to spread through out.

When the shell was fired out, it flew before exploding the midst of the formation, sending hot peices of burning shrapnel on fire with oils flying out causing men to be burnt or have burning shrapnel fly through or in the body making it a chaotic shell causing 23 men to be burning. The cohesion of the 23 men screamed as more shells of the case shot with a box of soybean oil inside of it exploded into the lines, making it almost just like napalm burning the formation up sending fire across. Multiple Shogunate men screamed, running with them showing the morale demoralizing horror to their allies. Then, next up was shrapnel shell with it being fired out, making it almost seem like if a shotgun was being fired upon the lines, causing bodies to lay with the case shot with a soybean oil box inside of it.

The men looked at the chaos, seeing the devastating artillery fire. With the cohesion of the Shogunate in disaster, the leader himself of the force rode out in horseback in utter madness. The artillerymen saw the position before turning onto the man loading shrapnel shot. They aimed down before firing the rounds.

The zips of the shells passed by the infantry of the Shogunate when it finally exploded, making the man's horse and himself be evaporated, leaving the snot of the horse only to remain and the man's flesh to be remained.

Seeing the own leader be devastated by the fire, the Imperial forces had been already close up to fire which so they popped their rifles out of the trenches delivering chaotic fire throughout the line with the Shogunate finally retreating back the forces as they saw the devastating effects of the fire.

The Imperial men finally sighed in relief as they saw multiple bodies lay on the ground with some artillery peices left off from the battlefield. Matsuno ordered his men to gather the guns and such and send it to the Quatermasters as for the guns, hand them over to the Artillery battery.

They did so with obtaining 4 recaptured 10-pound Armstrong guns and 3 20-pound Armstrong guns to be used to replace the Parrot Rifle while the infantry finally replaced the Pattern Enfield 1858 with the new Chassepot rifle.

They replaced their rifles with the Chassepot finally, with them being modernized.
