The Young Boy

Plop!

A loud splash was heard, and even felt, as a young boy was seen evading a ragtag group of burly young men, all the while taunting them with various rude gestures and even ruder words.

The young boy, out-running his bullies, evades skilfully across the myriad alleyways and causeways in the neighbourhood. He nimbly sidesteps across the many trash cans littered across the alleys (along with the rude occupants, not limited to homeless vagrants, mutated ex-pets, and for some unknown reason, rapping dogs). Although it seemed that it was easy in layman's eyes, doing this within a brief span of time seemed nearly impossible without many hours of experience.

"Come back here boy, and fight us like a real man, not a coward who only knows how to run!" Yelled one of the three goons, as he is seen throwing the trash of his back. "Yeah, yeah, coward..." The other two goons were heard parotting the first goon, which obviously revealed him to be the leader. The three goons are habitual thieves and troublemakers, as seen by the fact that this natural to them, with no hesitation in their actions.

The young man just ignores the provocations, and continues to parkour his way across the messy alleys. As the young boy continues flying across the alleys, one of the two goons suddenly throws a small pebble into the boy's leg which trips him

This causes a sense of inertia in the boy's legs, which led to the action of him falling. The leader is even smiling, as he realises that he has succeeded in his actions, yet before it fully forms, it is seen freezing halfway through.

Against all odds, the boy has managed to stabilise himself using a piece of rubbish that was unexpectedly thrown by one of the homeless vagrants that was nearby, most likely in response to all the noise that was being produced by the chase. This allowed to boy use the momentum from the trash to resume his running. Though gobsmacked, the goons still chose to chase him, as they believed that he was easy prey.

"Boy, how long do you think you can run away from us, huh? Ten, twenty minutes max? There is no one here who is willing to help you, just look at the neighbourhood. Who is willing to stop us and help you?" The leader explains in a clear and concise manner, even while chasing. What was even stranger was the fact that while chasing, he still managed to breath stably and without any sense of fatigue. This seemed to contrast with how long he was chasing. Although the following goons were also tired, there condition was very similar to the leader's.

"What was I supposed to do when you jerks were bullying poor old Miss Humphrey. She is really old, and can barely even walk, much less fight. I believe any righteous man would do the same right thing that I did." This came as the curt reply to the leader's question.

"Rubbish. Who doesn't know that here granddaughter is one heck of a beauty. Who doesn't want to have her as their girlfriend?" This unexpected revelation nearly tripped the young boy as he continued to parkour his way to his destination: a decrepit old apartment near the edge of the neighbourhood.

Using the barely remaining momentum, he propelled his way into the building and into the roof, where it seemed that he was cornered as the goons were all behind him.

Believing that he was cornered, the leader asked the kid, "Any last words?"

"Nope," and with that, the boy swan dived from the roof, and into the ground.

Shocked, when the trio looked down, no body was seen at the ground, much less any noise.

"Uh, boss, where did he go?"
