Goddess Diana

ANNA

When I woke, I wasn't where I expected to be. I was in a room completely greyed and blacked out. To the left of me was a large walk-out window with a balcony. I turned as I heard the door open. "I see you are awake" A young girl in her early teens walked in. She walked into the room with a trolley full of food laid out. My stomach growled as the scent of cooked food wafted into my nose. "What's that? Who's it for?" I blushed as the girl giggled.

"It's for you, Luna" Huh? "My name is Anna, not Luna sorry, you have the wrong person" I sat back hungry and devastated the food wasn't for me. "My mistake…But the food is for you" Turning to the girl, "Really?" Questioning her once answered, I started to devour the food. "Am I in a hospital?" I asked the girl before she left the room. "What do you remember?" The girl asked. I thought about remembering the pain I was inflicted last night. Shuddering from memory, "That I was burning, and in a lot of pain. Nothing helped. No matter what I did. I couldn't breathe like I was on fire. That's all" I sat there, remembering the pain as the girl walked out of the room, leaving me to my own dark mind. I sat back on the bed, appetite for the day gone.

I didn't know how long it had been staring into the distance till someone had walked into the room. "Are you okay" Turning to the man who stood at the door, my demeanor began to change. "Who are you? Why are you in my room?" "Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm Jaimie's friend. I was at your house last night, remember" Recognizing the man from last night. "Oh…Sorry I was freaked out a bit," snuggling back into the bed. I was very much aware of the man that stood at the end of my bed. "Why are you here?" I asked, wondering what was happening.

"You on my property in…In my bed," I sat up straight, looking to find any lies upon his face. "What, I'm in the hospital. How is this your bed?" I am getting annoyed already by this overbearing man and the effect of his presence. "You're not in a hospital. You are on my land, where I have a private doctor available 24/7. Jaimie agreed to bring you here knowing the facility of what I can provide for you" What was the bloke on about. "Provide? Excuse me, but Jaimie sure as hell shouldn't have made that choice. I don't know a god damn thing about you. Let alone do I need someone to provide for me" My voice was well over the edge of calm and delirious. "Your crazy to think that I want any part of this" Standing up, I began to walk out of the room, ready to find Jaimie demanding him to take me home. "With all due respect, I won't be letting you leave. You've been asleep for three days and two nights. You're still too weak to walk. I can see your whole body shaking from hearing" The man grabbed me and threw me back onto the bed. I tried running around him multiple still to no avail the swiftly caught me and threw me back to the bed. "BED…REST NOW!!" I flinched, hugging myself to the covers. Sighing, "I'm sorry, I do not mean to scare you, I just want you to realizing I'm trying to help you" Walking out, the man left me alone. Sniffling, I cried myself to sleep.

DREAM STAGE

I was back where everything went wrong. It was quiet. Like no one was here. Was I safe? How did I get here? "Hello…Mum, are you there?" Walking out of the room, I checked both ways in the hallway. It was a good sign if he wasn't here. I walked down the stair, hearing the sound of rattling going on. There, in the kitchen at the dining table, was dad. He still looked tired as ever. His job made it difficult out all night working and sleeping all day, so he's ready to go out again. "Hey, Dad, how are you?" he sat there like he couldn't hear me.

"DAD?!!" nothing.

Mum was doing the dishes in another pissed-off mood. "Why do I have to clean, Tony…Why can't you do anything?" Geez, give the older man a break. Not like you are home all the time. "Yes, Cerise, I can't help it trying to make a living while you go out and spend it nearly every night on all your boyfriends," Dad mumbled. Oh yeah, he really wasn't in the mood for mum today. Mum turned around to look straight at me, but she wasn't talking to me. "Where have you been" my body went cold. I knew who she was talking to. "Out, not like you care? Where is your darling daughter?" I was gagging on my spit. My stomach was twisting itself up so much I was nearly on my knees from the pain. I turned around. Just a few feet in front of me stood Daniel. He looked down, and he could see me. "Dad…Mum" They continued to ignore me like I wasn't here. "Told I would find you" Sneering, he grabbed me, pulling me close.

Why weren't they noticing anything? His hands began to move higher and lower. Bile rose as his hand moved beneath my shirt, slowly making its way to my breast. I could do anything. No amount of struggle could get me out of his grip. "No..No…Please not again…I hate it! I hate you! Sick Fuck!" nothing was working, not one bit. He was still going to touch me right in front of my parents, and they weren't going to notice a single thing. I covered my face, finally breaking down once again. I was defeated, humiliated, downright dirty.

"It's not your fault, child.." I looked up to find a beautiful woman with long silver hair and blue eyes as blue as the sky. I looked around to find I was not where I was but now in a field of soft green grass: just me and this woman who stood before me. Taking a deep breath, I asked the woman who she was. "Why I am you, well…metaphorically speaking" The woman became nervous. "Are you crazy?" I was getting ready to run. "No…not entirely…I'm a magical being, and I'm also your wolf. I've lived in the back of your mind since you were five years old" My skin began to crawl with unease. "I don't believe you. Who are you? I'm not as dumb as you may think, stranger…I especially don't like when people take me for a fool." I stood back as the woman began to change before my very own eyes.

What stood before was a wolf of fur like diamonds. I turned, and I ran. Out of breath, still running, I turned my head and continued to run as I looked back. Shee wasn't following me. I skidded to a stop as she appeared out of nowhere, right in front of me. "What?!! How did you do that?" I sputtered. "Please, Anna, I am not here to harm you, beside this nothing but a dream. I intercepted your nightmare and turned it into this"

"Are you going to eat me?"

"God no…I may be a wolf, but I will not eat you" She stuffed her laugh, trying to control herself. Didn't work very well. "It's a very logical question. You know me being a human, and you're not" pulling herself together, she became serious. "You're not human Anna, you have never been. Your mother is human, and your father is too. But I'm afraid you are not." The woman was stoic, waiting for questions. "How then, what am I?" Sitting down, the woman patted the spot next to her. Once seated, I began to feel calm, like she was a mother to me. Somewhere in some way, I knew I could trust her. "Someone in your lineage was a wolf of great power. It's been passed for generations, but skipped your mother deeming her unworthy of such an honor…She was too selfish when she had become of age, not good material for an alpha, let alone beta. So her wolf was in the back of her mind, eventually fading away to nothing till you were born…

Your mother knew you were born many great things and many difficult courses due in your lifetime. But at such a young age, even as a newborn pup, there was a fire, and fighting spirit in you like no other…Alas, here you are, the god of all wolf and alpha's lunas and all for the whole world. But along with that power comes evil…I've kept you hidden for as long as I can…Now you must trust your friend and his alpha!.. He will protect your young one…Have faith. Not everyone is the monster you seek to run away from."
