The Blank Soul

Traveling the worlds, one after another. You'd go crazy wouldn't you? However, one youth found a way... Instead of being a dead soul saved to go about completing missions, they were 'created' to partake in these missions. Given a special system different from the rest. The youth chose to lock all personality's from roles away, remaining in a 'childish' state while pondering his future. His orb had asked once why he chose to do this, his answer was simple. "Those personality's are not me...I don't know who I am, so I don't need them..."

Drip….Drip....Drip

The soft sound of the rain water dripping from the caves mouth sounded in a low tone. The echo of this sound drifted along the cave's inner walls, echoing back towards the large pile of furs that were gathered into a bundle. A few other pieces were scattered along the floor of the cave, creating the feeling of rugs.

On the opposite side of the large mass of furs were a few odd looking rock formations, seeming to have been carved into the shape of chairs, but not quite right in a few places. A table was placed just before the chairs, followed by a hollowed pit where the dying fire embers rested.

The silence was once again interrupted by the loud roars of thunder, as lightning danced across the sky. Without much word, the space within one corner of the cave distorted before a plump ball of odd light appeared. It hovered for a moment in place, before floating its way towards the large bundle of furs.

The odd ball of light shifted, the color shifting from an unknown color to a whitish soft glow as it shifted into the bundle and began to dig out the person sleeping within.

The small figure shifted, as the light cast down over their eyes, the long and full lashes fluttered before slowly opening, revealing large, deep innocent eyes. They were an odd mixture of green and blue, making a mintish color.

Looking at the light, the sleep filled eyes blinked a few times while staying huddled in the mass of furs. It was clear the person sleeping wasn't ready to get up. However, the floating orb just floated around once, the light changing slightly before the small figure finally moved, giving a curt nod before slowly moving out of the heap of furs.

The figure shifted, now on their feet, you saw a thin frame that seemed to belong to a child at first glance, but was clearly fully grown if you looked closer. The dark hair upon the head was tangled and hung in a messy fashion towards the floor. Much too long for any reasonable person to keep. The figure wore a loose garment that looked like a nightgown but also plain, just white as if it were more of a uniform.

Shifting around the youth, the orb buzzed with a few other shades of colors before floating towards the exit of the cave, shifting as if to see if the youth was following or not.

Of course, without much will, the small figure made its way across the plush rugs as it walked to the entrance of the cave, looking out into the soft white void where the 'unseen' rain was falling.

The two figures of the orb and person stood at the entrance for a moment, waiting til the sound of thunder roared again before they youth took a step into the milky white mist, his figure and the orb disappearing into that odd distortion in space once more.
