The two figures seemed to be floating along a path of distorted space, both of which were softly speaking in murmured voices as they slowly made their way down whatever pathway they traveled.

It wasn't until the orb shifted from the peaceful white back to the unknown color from before, the youths gaze dimming slightly before waiting. The orbs voice finally broke through, the sound was dull and seemed unattached, it was really unpleasant to listen to.

"....--- There are 3 options for this task. One of which is a rare option only given to those with enough status."

The youth gave a nod as he waited, keeping his gaze lowered as the orb shifted in front of him, the information slowly spreading from the orb into his own thoughts. The option listed along with a short description followed each option, along with a few comments of the plus or negatives of each option.

Side Character A, Followed Main leads and acted as a chess piece to complete the tasks needed to assist. Would eventually die in the hands of the Villain in order to save the MC of the story.

Side Character B, Followed the Villain and did the lesser tasks of gathering information or assisting the Villain in his plans so they came to fruition. Will Die by the ML's hands near the end of the story.

Unknown Character, This character doesn't actually appear within the text of the story, personality, looks and actions are all unknown, just that their actions are linked into dealing with both the Main Characters and the Villain. (( Unknown BOSS character that was lost in the story. ))

The youth blinked as their gaze moved again to the orb that was awaiting the response for what role should be given. All of these roles were typical for the youth to see, but the last had unknown meaning to it, there had never been a character without a preset to follow. So what was this option?

As if guessing the youths' misgivings, the orbs' cold voice sounded again.

"You would have no presets for a personality...Thus there will be no OOC, so long as you adjust the story to follow the correct paths as the original did, then you'll complete the mission. Being as they were never described in person, the role had never truly appeared in the text so you may do as you please." it stated.

The small figure blinked as they lowered their gaze to look at the misty white floor. Finally they nodded, silently selecting the last option with a small bubble of hope filling their gaze.

The orb let out a low sound of understanding, and a rare expression of dotting before these figures blended back into the white miss, disappearing from the space once more.
