Chapter 26 Dethroned

Weeks past and the time of battle has come.

Hayden walks along the wall and he sees thousands of orcs and beasts of darkness standing not too far from the wall. "The time is now. Ready yourself men, today we take these bastards down with us" Hayden says as he walks out of the gate. His men follow behind him. His 2000 men against the 6 thousand monsters.

Everyone is ready for this showdown. Hayden stands in the front with Hawkin by his side. The blue sharks stand at the ready behind them and the knights follow behind them. The orcs blow their horns and the battle has begun. "Charge my men! CHARGE!" Hayden yells as he runs straight at the enemy.

They clash right in the middle and it's clearly one sided the darkness is just way too strong. The blue sharks are just being cut down faster than they can swing their blades. Hayden and Hawkin got pushed back."Retreat!" Hawkin yelled as he began to fall back. Hayden followed behind. "Close the gate!" Hawkin yells. The gate shuts down, trapping two hundred blue sharks outside. Hayden just made it inside as the gate fell. As the gate fell it crushed 15 knights under it.

Hayden stood there and watched his men get slaughtered. They were trapped. Some fought back but others begged for help through the gate. Once he snapped out of it Hayden ran back as his men got ready.

A nice sized staircase leads you up to the city from the gate. The knights used this to their advantage by placing logs covered in iron spikes at the top of the stairs as well as burning hot pots of oil ready to be poured. Once the monstars broke in, Hawkin kicked down the logs. One after another giving a few seconds to build up the monsters then kicking the others.

Once they ran out of logs Hayden poured the hot oil down onto the gate, burning the monsters as they entered. Once all the oil was poured Hayden threw a touch, setting the oil on fire. This had little to no effect. To everyone's surprise The monsters just poured in straight through the fire. The archers shot at them but they were met with throwing axes.

Hayden and Hawkin tried to hold them down but there was just too much. The Knights were just a warm up for the orcs. People started to run back to the next wall Hawkin was the first one to make it "Close the ga" Before he could finish, a throwing axe chopped its way straight into Hawkin's head."HAWKINNNNN" Hayden yells as he rushes over to Hawkin's body. Hayden grabs the body and a few of his men and goes into the long house.

Hayden watches through the window as his men are killed. The orc spared no one, the woman, the children. They all were killed with little to no effort. Hayden had his men block the door and he sat on his throne.

Quickly the screams stopped. They orc tried to open the door to the long house but couldn't seem to get in. They pushed and pushed but couldn't enter. After a few failed tries they stopped."Did they give up?" Hayden said as he walked to the door. He put his ear to the door

(SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) Hayden's eyes widen knowing the sound he is hearing to be TNT."RUNNNN" Hayden yells as the bombs explode sending him and his men flying. Hayden flew through a wall and landed outside the castle walls, unconscious.
