Chapter 28 Courage

The next day, Nelly arrived at the company in Lennon's car.

However, she did not go upstairs with Lennon, but went alone to the department that York, the secretary, had told her about.

Currently, not many people in the company knew about the relationship between her and Lennon.

After all, the engagement was not announced. Most people only thought that she was Lennon's sister-in-law.

Thompson, the project manager, rushed over at once when he heard that she had arrived.

He had already heard about Nelly and Lennon from his father.

He looked at Nelly warily and said coldly, "Nelly, come outside with me."

Nelly looked at him and asked with a puzzled expression, "Sir, who are you? Why should I follow you?"

On the other side, an ingratiating middle-aged man walked over. "Young lady, don't you know our chief engineer?"

Nelly glanced at the man who didn’t know how to hold his tongue.

Of course she knew who Thompson was, she just pretended to not recognise him.
