Chapter 1- A Handsome Face

Chapter 1: A Handsome Face

Her body was stiff and sore, as if she had spent hours running a marathon. Each of her limbe thrummed a story of the wild night that came before. Her muscles were tired and overused. Something crazy must have happened.

Alyssa Hunt reluctantly opened her eyes to see an incredibly handsome face across from her. The man had a sharp jawline that joined square cheeks to form a strict expression even in his sleep.

His eyes were closed, but she remembered them to be just as dark as a starless night, hiding the dangerous mystery that had attracted her to him. His hair was thick and black as it lay messily across his head and almost seemed to drip onto the pillow.

She remembered only a few things about their evening. It was no wonder that her body was so sore now. The sex that they had was incredible, and unlike anything she had ever done before. He was like an animal wanting to ravage her body for hours on end. Finally, they fell asleep in each other's arms, both exhausted.

Alyssa almost felt a bit guilty over everything that had happened, but she pushed those feelings away. Her boyfriend, Daniel had betrayed her, and she was so angry that she decided to go drinking. The night that followed was a little fuzzy in her memory.

She could remember leaving with a handsome man, and she knew that she slept with him. Beyond that, everything was blank. She had no idea what else had happened. "Did Daniel call her at some point?" She didn't know.

The man beside her was definitely a stranger. Alyssa wondered if he was an escort, or just a normal guy, but she couldn't tell. If he was an escort, then he definitely had to be an expensive one. He was so cute that it was almost difficult to look at him.

Alyssa knew that she didn't want to face talking to him. She had to get out of there as quickly as possible. She slowly climbed out of his bed and blushed when she saw all of her clothing scattered in between his own on the floor. She could see that they were in a hotel room.

All of the sheets were white, and there was a list of numbers next to a corded phone on the bedside of the table.

Alyssa couldn't remember if she paid for the room or if he did. That didn't really matter now, though.

Just in case he was an escort, Alyssa pulled out some money from her purse. Even if he wasn't, at least it would help cover the cost of the room. She placed the bills on the bedside table next to the sleeping man, whose name she never bothered to know, and wondered if she should leave him a thank you note.

Alyssa decided against that. It seemed like a rediculous idea. Instead, she got dressed as quickly as she could, and left the room. Still, it was only one night- a quick mistake that she would forget soon enough.

*Three years later*

Alyssa was living in a new two-bedroom apartment. She was in the living room, standing on one leg while she held the other up behind her as high as she could. Flutty toys, blocks, tiny shoes and sticky hand-prints were scattered all over the place. At least the house was mostly clean.

Yoga was the one thing that helped her find some peace during a crazy day. It wasn't easy to find time for herself, and she was grateful for the moment that she could.

Alyssa breathed in deeply and closed her eyes as she stretched her body into the next pose. At that point, she heard the door swing open and heard the sound of six pairs of little feet pattering towards her.

She looked over to see six little cutie pies running to her. "Mommy!"

They all wobbled happily towards her with their chubby legs, clearly preparing to jump on her all at once.

"Wait, wait!" Alyssa said, trying to stop them but it was too late. "Ah!"

She was tackled by the toddlers, and fell over while laughing on top of her. Alyssa couldn't help but join in the laughter as she tried to sit up.

"Hi, everyone," she said, grabbing the closest one to start sharing kisses. Each toddler was grabbing a piece of their mother to hug.

Georgie was the first one to get his mother's kisses, while the identical twins, Elle and Belle, held onto her left arm. The right arm was occupied by Lisa and Charlie, and Peter was holding tightly onto one of her feet.

Alyssa only found out a month after that one-night stand that she had resulted in pregnancy. It was another few months before she heard that she was going to have six babies and she had fainted at the doctor's office.

Back then, she had no idea how she was going to take care of them all. But now just after their second birthday, she wouldn't give them up for the world. They always made her day and gave her thousands of reasons to smile every day.

Peter was the shy one. Even now, as he held her foot, he looked unsure of himself. It looked like he wanted to join in the fun but he just started playing with Alyssa's toes instead. He had light brown hair, chubby features and a chocolate colored gaze.

Georgie was the ringleader. He was always the first one to get into trouble, and he looked a lot like his father, with raven-black locks and those dark, naughty eyes of his.

Alyssa wondered what the children's father would think if he ever found out about them. She had never asked for his number, and didn't have any idea who he actually was.

Somewhere out there, there was a man who had six children and would never know it.

Alyssa didn't mind. She loves her kids and didn't want to share them with anyone else.

Elle and Belle pulled at her arm, wanting their turn for kisses. They were blonde little girls with blue eyes, and looked the least like their parents. They were like tiny porcelain dolls, so  perfect that it was almost difficult to believe they were real.

Lisa had dark eyes and black hair like Georgie, but her features resembled Alyssa's more than her father's. She was the one who always kept the others in line, and loved to follow the rules. She was patiently waiting for her turn, just holding on to Alyssa's arm instead of pulling it.

Charlie had black hair too, but light blue eyes. He was more independent than others, and very curious about the world. He usually followed Georgie into trouble, even if he tried to be good.

All together, they had changed Alyssa's life forever. She gave each of them a bunch of kisses on their forehead, and smiled as their nanny, Miss Rose, entered the room in a huff. Her hair was falling loose around her face, and she looked like she had been running.

"Oh dear, sorry about this!" She said, laughing at the situation in the room. "I didn't think they would tackle you to the floor!"

"That's alright". Alyssa said as Peter finally walked up to her for his turn. He was holding something in his hands. "What is this, sweetie?" Peter looked down at the ground as he opened his hands. "Is a 'flower', Mommy."

He offered her a crumpled-up flower. It was bright red and probably really pretty in the garden, but now it seemed like Peter was holding it too tight. Even so, Alyssa gave him a wide smile when she took it from him.

"Oh, it's beautiful, Peter!" She exclaimed with as much excitement as she could. "Thank you so much, sweetheart!"

"Mommy!" Georgie shouted to get her attention. "I have a 'flower', too!"

He shoved his chubby hand into his pocket and pulled out a purple flower that was just as crumpled as Peter's. It had even lost a few of its petals. Georgie proudly shoved past Peter and handed it to Alyssa.

"We all have 'flowers'!" Lisa said, pointing to herself, Charlie Elle, and Belle. "Mommy, you want to see?"

"Oh, how lovely." Alyssa smiled as each of her children gave her a red or purple flower, all squished from being carried by the toddlers.

"Thank you, everyone, I love them!"

She reached out her arms and wrapped them all up in one big hug. It was difficult to look after all six of them, but they always made her smile. Alyssa would never dream of trading her six children for anything else..
