Landon waited patiently for the white fox to return. He has been made to wait for further instructions for a whole day. He appreciated the time as it allowed him to think of a way out of the problem he currently was facing.

The world thought that he was pregnant with the prince's child. He had to find a way to get a miscarriage without raising suspicion of his character or his identity. He paced around the room thinking to remember how he had seen his favorite actress fake a miscarriage in a movie.

The thoughts of it were giving him a headache. He wasn't even sure if beasts got a miscarriage or not.

"What do I do?"

"About what dear king?" the white fox asked making an appearance. "What worries you so much?"

"Nothing," Landon replied.

"Alright, but to answer your question, beasts don't have a miscarriage. The terregenic crystal provides a protective shield around the baby to keep it from harm. The only thing that can kill the child is if your crystal is broken or damaged in any way. But that would harm the both of you so I wouldn't suggest it," the white fox explained.

"Stop doing that, I can't think with you in my head," Landon said still being freaked out by the fact that the fox can read his mind.

"If I can, I would advise that you find a way to mate soon if you wish to sell the lie of being pregnant or just..." the fox stopped as though realizing that he was speaking out of term.

Landon became intrigued by him and moved closer to hear the other option that he had but for the first time, the fox remained silent. He questioned the fox to tell him the other option, he remained adamant and refused to listen to him.

"You need to undergo your transformation. With that you can return to the palace, I suggest undressing," the fox informed changing the topic.

Landon backed away from the fox when he/ she suggested that he removes his clothes. He stared at the fox suspiciously.

"If you don't mind please remove your clothes. I don't see why you hesitate when I have seen you without clothes," the fox said. "Anyway, you need to take your beastly form, and the last I checked werewolves have a way of tearing their clothes when they transform. And I don't have other spare clothes," the fox added.

"I see," Landon said getting excited. He had always watched on television teen werewolf movies and now he would get to be a werewolf himself. He was filled with joy at the possibility that awaited him. "Do I have to strip in front of you?" he asked.

"No, and I will leave you to it," the fox said and floated out of the room. The door closed behind him, he went down the hall and to the room on the far end of the corridor.

The door to the room opened and he was let in. Once inside he came face to face with the tree that had dragged Landon to the middle of nowhere. The tree felt his presence, a face appeared on the stem of the big tree making the branches and leaves look like her hair. The tree opened its eyes and looked at the fox.

"You seem cold today," the tree said to the fox.

The fox shrugged at the statement. "He doesn't seem that bad. I find him quite interesting I think that he is good for you," the tree added.

The fox turned his attention to the tree and glared at the tree. "Then don't try to think, it's not good for you."

"Getting angry won't change the fact that the two of you are compatible. He is a better version of you, a version that I haven't seen in many years," the tree stated unaffected by the anger that was growing in the fox's eyes.

"He is a monster," the fox said.

"Then you will have no problems getting along. Birds of the same feathers do find a way to flock together," the tree let out happily.

"That would never happen. That liar doesn't have a place in my life," Nuru said transforming into a man.

The prince stood before the tree with his eyes burning with anger from the comments the tree was making on his life.

"Anger only goes to prove what I am saying. And tell me just how long do you plan to utter those words until they become true. You know it as well as I do that the male in there has already started creating a place for himself in your heart and your life," the tree expressed matter-of-factly.

"The one I belong to has gone away from me all thanks to him. The only reason that I am here is that I have no other choice than to be here and assist him. The sooner he transforms the faster I can distance myself from him."

"It won't be that easy. You are the guardian of all terregenic crystals, now that he is one of us. His presence and life, you will feel all of it," the tree said trying to help the prince see reason. She could think of many reasons why the prince should give the male a chance.

It was true that life was truly unfair. She had watched the young prince grow cold every single day since he became the guardian. As a mother, all she wished was for him to find warmth in his life and she could see Landon being someone who can give him that. but the male was too stubborn to listen to him.

"I will but just like all the people in Attilan. His life is an irrelevant part of me that hardly matters. The only thing that I am concerned about now is to get my merphix back," the prince said and exited the room in a hurry.

He walked back to the room where Landon was in and glanced at the male. He let out a deep breath and steadied his feelings before going into the room in his fox form.

"Are you done?" he asked Landon.
