"Now, all you have to do is step onto the ice," Nuru instructed him.

Landon stared at the ice he was asked to stand on, he recalled the drowning experience he had and hesitated.

"Any time today," Nuru said restlessly.

Landon got on the ice and waited, he stood naked on top of the ice for a few minutes with nothing happening. "What now?" he asked.

Nuru moved closer to Landon and held his hand, he examined him and frowned. "Get dressed," he said and floated away from the room. Landon was confused about what just happened. He was supposed to turn into a werewolf but sadly nothing happened and the over informative fox didn't say why.

Nuru returned to the tree and paced around in the room. "He was supposed to transform. He was supposed to transform," he said repeatedly as he walked up and down.

"What is the problem?" the tree asked him, she was getting dizzy watching him walking back and forth.

"The crystal rejected him," the prince said angrily. "He was supposed to transform and I was supposed to return home and get away from him but now I am stuck here with him until I can figure out how to make him fortunate," the prince added furiously.

"That doesn't sound too bad, the two of you can spend some quality time with each other. Perhaps even stop ignoring the feelings that you have for him," the tree said.

The prince glared daggers at the tree for making such an uncool remark. He changed his clothes and opened the door that led back to the palace.

"You keep him company. I need to think," he said and walked through the door.

The servants ran away as soon as they saw him. Some hid behind the statues in the corridor to avoid him. Fear ran in the palace as everyone was aware that he was in a bad mood and they avoided him like a plague.

The prince avoided his friends and went straight to his room. He dropped on the bed and closed his eyes to rest from the stressful morning he had. He tried to fall asleep but all he could were the cries of the unfortunate one waiting for his help in the ice palace.

"Are you asleep?" he heard and sat up on the bed. He looked up to see Aracely looking down at him.

"What can I do for you my dear," he said patting the bed to invite her to sit with him.

"I came to see if you needed anything," Ara said sitting down on the bed. "I once meant so much to you, not as much as Sly but just as much as he did. Now only Lara matters to you, it's not fair," she complained reminding him of the fact that he had let him get between every relationship he had.

"I'm sorry for that but from now on that will change. I have made up my mind that I will divorce lady Lara as soon as she returns to the palace," he said lighting up Ara's face with the news.

She was sad that she could have to play second fiddle to lady Lara but luckily she won't be a part of her life at all let alone her husband's life. "Thank you, this is the best wedding gift ever," she said and embraced him.

She smiled to her heart's content in happiness, the fondness that was growing in the prince's heart for Lara made her insecure but his assurance made her heart fill up with joy. She couldn't contain her happiness.

"What about the baby?" she asked him. "As long she is pregnant you can't leave her?" she asked and waited in anticipation. If the prince had decided to divorce Lara them he must have thought out everything that could hinder him from doing that.

"Don't worry about that, he doesn't belong here and hence he won't stay here ever again," the prince said his eyes staring into the distance like he could see Landon.

"Then we should celebrate. I didn't get my dream wedding so I will settle what I can get from you now," she said breaking the hug. "How about we go hunting?" she suggested.

"Later, I am tired. Let me rest first."

"It's alright, with the good news that you have given me. I will leave you to rest," she said and got up to leave. "Ahhh," she screamed startled when the prince grabbed his of her hand and pulled her back. She fell right on top of him on the bed.

"And here I thought I meant so much to you. You agreed to leave my side so easily," he said to her, his voice becoming deep.

"Is this why you liked lady Lara. She never seemed to get her hands off you, the way she held on to you was so frustrating," she complained.

"Really?"

"You have no idea how hard it was for me to see the attention that you gave her. It was so heartbreaking," she confessed.

Her confession made him more guilty than he already was. It made him see how Sly felt when he showered love and affection to Landon. He let his anger cloud his judgment and he lost the one thing that he valued the most in the world.

"I'm sorry," he said thinking of Sly.

"You are getting rid of lady Lara so it's fine," she stated happily.

"I think we should make a trip to the Meca. Some political matters need my urgent attention there. I should be there as soon as possible to avoid going to war," the prince said getting up from the bed.

"Meca?" Ara asked worried, her happiness of getting Lara out of the way to get the happiness she deserved went out the window. Meca was a kingdom under the sea where the prince's merman lived.

She wasn't a big fan of the merman nor did he like her back. The hatred was mutual between them and what made it worse was the way the prince worshiped the ground Sly walked on. She became invincible in Sly's presence.
