Sixth Quest

Vivian entered the main hall of the building and she was immediately greeted with a wave by Pana.
She waved back as she went over to her.
"Hi, Vivian."
"Hey, Pana."
"Looking for a quest? I have wonderful news for you."
"It's not another client, is it?"
"No, it's the Bukaroo quest. It's available."
"Oh, really? That's good to hear. I'll get it right away before it gets snatched."
"You really like the Bukaroo quest, don't you?"
"Oh, please don't. I would cry if someone calls me Bukaroo."
They both let out a chuckle.
"Okay, I'll go get it now. Still got so many things to do."
"Okay, good luck!"
"You too!"
Vivian turned away and headed to the Quest Board.
Looks like those kids didn't rat me out, huh…

Thud.
An arrow made out of lightning shot through the air and blasted away a Treebark's arm and then electrocuted its whole body before falling down, leaving the smell of burnt wood in the air.
Tch!
Vivian clicked her tongue.
It's too powerful…
I thought I could just hit the arm and then finish it off with my poleaxe…
But just the shock alone killed it…
She let out a sigh before bursting out in a run.

Vivian saw a group of tiny jumping mushrooms up ahead.
She didn't stop running and continued charging towards it.
Before the mushrooms even noticed her presence, she was already swinging her poleaxe against them.
[Power Axe].

She did a series of spinning attacks, obliterating every mushroom that came close to her weapon.
Thud!
There was only one mushroom left and she finished it but squashing it with the hammer head of her poleaxe.
A smile appeared on Vivian's face.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm starting to enjoy this weapon…
Except for the spear though…
She rolled her eyes.
"Ugh…!"
"Right, I still have to level up the [Spear Mastery] as well…"
Vivian then burst out in a run to search for more enemies.

Vivian stopped and turned her head to look for the Bukaroo.
When she finally spotted it, she immediately charged towards it.

Vivian slapped the bird away with her poleaxe and then rushed towards where it landed.
Surp!
She finished it off by stabbing it on the head with the spear blade of her weapon and then pulled it away before extracting the tail.
She burst out into a run once again to search for more enemies.

Vivian suddenly stopped.
What the fuck is that…?
Up ahead, she saw what looked like a single-horned wolf.
It was 1.5 times bigger than a large dog, had brown fur and had a single slightly curved brown horn on its forehead which was almost a foot tall.
The wolf noticed Vivian and immediately bared its long canine fangs before charging.
Vivian raised her hand and activated a spell.
[Lightning Arrow].
Pscht!
Thud.
An arrow made out of lightning burst out of her hand. It shot passed through the wolf's body and electrocuted it before it crashed to the ground and died.
The smell of burnt meat permeated the air.
Tch!
I forgot to measure how fast it was compared to the fox...!'
As Vivian went closer to the corpse, the smell of burnt meat only got stronger.
Sniff.
Sniff.
I'm not gonna lie, it smells like good…
Back in her previous world, although eating dog was a delicacy in certain parts of the world, she never tried eating one, let alone a wolf.
I recalled watching a video that eating a wolf is dangerous because it has a lot of viruses…
Or was it bacteria…?
Or are the 2 things the same…?
Wait…!
Was it worms…?
But are worms the same as bacteria and viruses…?
She scratched her head.
Whatever…!
She raised her poleaxe up in the air with one hand and aimed with the axe blade.

The animal's corpse was cut in half, both flesh and bone. She then pushed one side to the corner with her weapon, causing blood and guts to flow and spill on the ground.
She crouched down to get a closer look.
After staring at the blood and guts for a moment, her brows began to knit together.
"I don't see any worms…"
"Maybe they're too tiny to see…?"
She got up and looked around.
Now that I think of it…
I think I must've delved a little too deep in the forest without realizing it…
With Vivian's increased stats, especially her speed, along with her weapon, Magic Arts and Lore Magic [Nemesis of Beasts], every 10-20 seconds a monster dies so she didn't really have to think about where she was going.
Any monster that approaches her will only meet death.
And even if she gets lost, she could easily just find a tall tree to look for the direction of where Luxen City was located.
She glanced at the mutilated corpse in front of her.
I've also never seen this monster…
She swept her gaze around her surroundings once again.
Well, I just hope there's Bukaroos around here…
She burst out into a run to search for more enemies.

Vivian stopped and a serious expression appeared on her face.
Based on the sounds, there were 2 Bukaroos and they were coming from different directions.
She focused and the world appeared to move slowly through her eyes.
When she spotted the first Bukaroo, she made a mental note of its direction and then turned away to search for the other one.
She spotted the second one and rushed towards it.
Whooosh!
Thud.

She swung her poleaxe and the bird was sliced in half mid-air before it crashed to the ground.
Without missing a beat and the world still moving slowly through her eyes, she turned her attention to the remaining one and then rushed towards it.
Pah!
Beeeaaak!
Thud!
She slapped the bird away with her weapon and then dashed over to where it landed.
Surp.
She stabbed it with the spear blade of her weapon.
Rawr!
A fox suddenly jumped out of the bushes to bite Vivian and she easily evaded it.
Thud.
The animal landed on the ground and was about to turn around to face Vivian.
Pscht!
Thud.
Just like the other monsters, the arrow made out of lightning shot through the monster's body like it was nothing and then electrocuted its body, burned its flesh during the process before it finally died and fell to the ground.
Ding!
'Unlocked [Magic Art] (Lightning Mastery) Level 1!'
Vivian looked around to see if there were no other monsters remaining.
After confirming that there wasn't any left, she opened her Status Panel.
She began scrolling down to search for her new skills.
