Sixth Quest Complete

At the Adventurer's Guild.

When Vivian entered the main hall, she immediately turned her head to look at Pana.

She smiled and waved.

Pana returned the same gesture.

Vivian turned away and headed to the Quest Rewards counter.

Given that it was already late in the afternoon, there were many people waiting in line to submit their quest items.

Tch!

Vivian clicked her tongue mentally.

"P-Priestess Vivian…!" a female voice suddenly called out.

Vivian stopped and turned.

When she saw who spoke, she was surprised to see it was Felize who was accompanied by Gaze and Torr.

"Oh, it's you."

The trio bowed.

"Sorry for bothering you," said Felize. "We waited here for you because we didn't know where to find you."

Vivian's brows knitted together.

Find me…?

"This morning…" Felize said with a small voice. "You didn't mention where we should meet for tonight. And since that we know you will take the Bukaroo quest today and will be able to finish it immediately, we decided to wait for you here. And please forgive us if we're talking to you in public."

"No, no, no, it's fine. It's my fault to begin with. It's just that I constantly have so many things to think and deal with so I tend to forget things."

"Thank you, Priestess Vivian!" the trio said and bowed.

"Priestess Vivian, are you going submit your quest items at the Quest Rewards counter?" asked Torr.

"Yes."

"If you want, we can wait in line in your stead."

Vivian glanced at the Quest Rewards counter.

There were at least 7 people waiting in line.

She returned her glance to Torr.

"You sure about that?"

"Yes! We will just call you over once it's your time to submit."

"Okay."

After Vivian handed over the small sack that had the Bukaroo tails, Torr and Gaze immediately went over to wait in line, leaving Felize alone with Vivian.

"Priestess Vivian…"

"You don't have to call me Priestess Vivian. Priestess or Vivian will do."

"Then please allow me to call you Priestess."

Vivian nodded and then went over to the chairs located at the corners of the hall.

There were some adventurers sitting and chatting.

Vivian chose a chair that was far from the adventurers.

When she sat down, she noticed that Felize wasn't sitting down.

"You're going to sit down?"

"I-I'm okay, Priestess."

Vivian rolled her eyes.

What happened to this kid…?

Didn't she used to be a loudmouth…?

"Look, you don't have to be too formal. Remember, we're both adventurers and Copper I Rank. And plus, I don't want people to think that I'm a person who likes to bully and order kids around."

"T-Thank you, Priestess!" Felize said and bowed before taking a seat next to Vivian.

"You also don't have to force yourself to talk if you don't have anything important to say. In fact, if I were to be honest, I dislike meaningless talk. So feel free to ignore me and do whatever you need to do."

"Understood, Priestess."

The two sat in silence.

Vivian was sitting with her arms and legs crossed, her demeanor cool and calm.

Felize, on the other hand, sat straight and had her shield and mace on top of her lap as tried her best not to appear uncomfortable.

She glanced at Gaze and Torr who were waiting in line and talking with each other.

A feeling of envy welled up inside of her.

She shifted her gaze to the rest of the people inside the main hall.

Aside from the staff, most of the adventurers were either Copper and Silver Ranks, and there were only 2 Gold Rank adventurers present.

Looking at the Gold Rank adventurers, she secretly stole a glance at Vivian, wondering if she was as strong as a Gold Rank adventurer.

As a 15-year-old girl, most of the adventurers she saw and met were only Copper, Silver and Gold Rank, with the first 2 in abundance. But for Platinum, she had only seen one from a distance a few years ago here in the city during a Wave. And as for Diamond, she has only heard about them from stories and has yet to meet one.

She also heard talks that the Supreme Captain of the city, Ronaldo, was supposedly either a Platinum or Diamond Rank. But since she had never seen him fight and only heard about his accolades and exploits, and he wasn't an adventurer, she couldn't really tell.

And according to the stories she has heard, if Platinum Rank adventurers could be considered as demigods, then Diamond Rank adventurers are basically gods. They are so powerful that they can subjugate an army on their own.

But the main reason as to why she thought Vivian was as strong as a Gold Rank adventurer despite not having personally fought one herself was based on their equipment.

In her eyes, although Vivian didn't exactly have "flashy" equipment compared to Gold Rank adventurers and she looked more like a Silver Rank, as a Copper Rank adventurer herself and having experienced fighting Vivian, she couldn't imagine that Vivian was only a Silver Rank.

If Vivian's actual strength was only Silver Rank, then the power-scaling of the adventurers wouldn't make sense at all. Diamond Rank adventurers would be an existence far greater than gods.

Felize noticed that a group of Silver Rank adventurers was heading in their direction.

No, to be specific, they were heading in Vivian's direction.

"Hi, excuse me," a cool-looking woman in her early 20s with a Silver II Rank around her neck said. She carried a beautiful sword on her back, a beautiful curved dagger and wand on her waist, and was wearing a beautifully crafted set of leather armor.

Although she and her group all had a silver-colored pendant around their neck, not everyone was Silver II, others were Silver I.

Vivian looked at the woman.

"If you're trying to invite us to party, we're not interested."

Felize's heart skipped a beat when she heard Vivian said "us" and "we're" because to her it meant that Vivian thought of them as her companion.

Meanwhile, for the woman and her companions, they were caught in surprise by the instant and direct rejection.

"No, no, no," said the woman and smiled, trying to salvage the situation. "I mean, I wouldn't mind. But I just wanted to introduce our --"

"My head hurts right now and I'm not in the mood to talk. Please leave us alone," Vivian said and then looked away.

The woman glanced at Felize who lowered her head in embarrassment.

She then turned to his companions.

Some let out wry smiles, others looked down in embarrassment.

It was then the woman noticed that many people inside the main hall were staring at them -- there was pity, mockery and indifference.

The woman's cheeks turned bright red.

Although she was used to getting rejected when she first started out as an adventurer, she was now a Silver II Rank adventurer with a great track record in completing quests and was already eligible to take the Rank Exam for Gold I Rank. In fact, she was still waiting for the guild to gather enough participants for the exam. And once she passes the exam, which she knows she will, she will finally become a Gold I Rank adventurer.

Her eyes blazed at Vivian as she gritted her teeth and balled her hands into fists before storming away.

Her companions quickly followed behind.

In Vivian's mind, if she were still a man, she would've entertained the idea.

This really sucks...

If I were still a man, all of this attention would've been heaven…

I would've enjoyed women lusting over me...

But that stupid fucking zhey/zhem god placed me in a woman's body...

Tch...!

Hmm...

Maybe that woman has a Magic Art Affinity that I could learn...?

She shook her head.

I'll just choose another one...

There are many others to choose from...

A small smile appeared on Vivian's face.

Many more gullible or easier to control like this little girl and her companions...

"Priestess Vivian," a male voice called out.

Vivian turned her head and saw Gaze.

"Is it my turn already?"

"Yes, Priestess."

Vivian got up from her seat and headed to the Quest Rewards counter.
