One fateful night, as Jayden was walking back home he encounters a woman in danger and tries to save her...unfortunately, because of his recklessness, he died... But that wasn't the end for him as he awakens in a realm beyond imagination, finding himself reincarnated into the DC Universe. Now trying to live out his lifelong dream, Jayden must navigate this new reality where superheroes and supervillains coexist. . . . . . My last story wasn't really starting off well so I decided to change it for this dc one while I fine-tune and mark out the other one that I'll upload into another story category. I'll be honest here I've never read a dc comic in my life but I love the movies and have been reading up on my favourite characters. I'm still confused about the whole rebirth thing and the new 52 but I'm trying. In any case, most of my knowledge will be from the movies, some videos I've seen from Kinglion, variant YouTube and of course the wiki. I've been recommended to watch the young justice TV show, static and other animated stuff so while writing this I'll watch some of that stuff in my free time. Also just a reminder, I'm not a professional writer and don't claim to be, I'll make mistakes, so pointing out those mistakes would be much appreciated. Then with nothing more to say I hope you enjoy my story, and if not then thanks for trying it out. ......................

Chapter Thirty-Seven(Raven's Night Out!)

(Gotham City- Ravens Pov: 00:15 Am )

Raven, the sleek and mysterious black cat, padded silently through the dimly lit streets of Gotham City.

With each step, her paws barely made a sound against the pavement, her movements graceful and fluid. She was a creature of the night and an observer of secrets.

As the moon cast an ethereal glow upon the city, Raven embarked on her nightly adventure, exploring the nooks and crannies that made up Gotham's intricate labyrinth.

Her emerald eyes glinted with curiosity as she navigated through alleyways and scaled fences, her agile form effortlessly manoeuvring through the urban landscape.

Her senses heightened, and Raven observed the city with keen interest.

The distant sounds of car horns and sirens filled the air, the echoes bouncing off towering skyscrapers. The scent of damp asphalt and freshly baked goods wafted through the streets, tantalizing her sensitive nose.

Her journey led her to an abandoned warehouse, its weathered bricks whispering tales of a forgotten past.

Raven slipped through a cracked window, her lithe body gliding gracefully into the darkness within. The place was cloaked in shadows, its secrets hidden beneath layers of dust and decay.

As Raven ventured deeper into the warehouse, her ears twitched at the faint sound of scuffling. Instinctively, she crept closer, her stealthy approach ensuring she remained undetected. Peering through a cracked doorway, her eyes widened in surprise.

Before her stood a group of mischievous rats, their beady eyes darting from corner to corner as they rummaged through discarded scraps.

Raven's tail twitched with anticipation, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting rodents. With a swift movement, she leapt into the fray, engaging in a playful game of cat and mouse.

After a spirited chase, Raven emerged victorious, her prize a solitary rat squealing in defeat.

She released her catch, allowing it to scamper away to safety. Content with her triumph, she continued her exploration, her path taking her through the city's hidden gardens and narrow alleyways.

Raven soon found herself in a park, a serene oasis amidst the chaos of Gotham.

She prowled among the bushes, her sleek form blending effortlessly with the shadows. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, carrying with it the scent of blossoming flowers and freshly cut grass.

Raven soon after retreated to the safety of Jayden's barbershop.

She leapt gracefully through the open window, landing softly on the familiar couch that served as her resting place. With a satisfied stretch, she settled down, her emerald eyes glimmering with a sense of contentment.

In the comfort of the barbershop, Raven dozed off, her dreams filled with flickering shadows.

...

The barbershop stood silent and seemingly ordinary, its walls adorned with vintage posters and its chairs neatly arranged.

But unknown to anyone, within the heart of the building, a mysterious force stirred. Shadows danced along the walls, and an eerie hush enveloped the air.

Raven, the sleek and perceptive black cat, stretched lazily on the windowsill as the moon continued to cast its light.

Unbeknownst to her, the barbershop had awoken from its slumber, infused with a life of its own.

As the moon rose high in the sky, a soft whisper drifted through the air, barely audible to mortal ears.

Curiosity piqued, Raven's keen feline senses detected the unusual presence.

Her emerald eyes widened, reflecting the glimmer of secrets untold. With graceful movements, she ventured into the depths of the building, her paw steps barely making a sound.

The lights flickered mysteriously as Raven explored the dimly lit rooms, her whiskers twitching in curiosity.

Objects seemed to shift on their own, as if guided by an invisible hand. Brushes levitated in mid-air, their bristles tracing ethereal patterns. Scissors clinked softly, their blades glinting in the pale moonlight.

Her ears perked up, twitching in curiosity as she listened intently. There was a distinct creaking of floorboards, a whisper of wind, and an occasional eerie giggle that sent shivers down her spine.

Unsettled but undeterred, Raven moved forward and ventured into the darkened depths of the barbershop.

As Raven prowled through the silent rooms, her feline instincts guided her toward the source of the commotion.

She crept stealthily. Her luminous eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for any sign of the mischievous presence that seemed to haunt the barbershop.

Suddenly, a flicker of movement caught Raven's attention—a shadowy figure darting behind a bookshelf.

She quickened her pace, determined to unravel the mystery. As she approached the bookshelf, an unseen force knocked over a stack of books, sending them tumbling to the floor with a resounding thud.

Undeterred by the eerie occurrences, Raven mustered her courage and let out a defiant hiss. "Meowwwww!" she called out into the darkness, her voice tinged with both curiosity and caution.

In response, the air seemed to grow colder, and a faint whisper tickled Raven's ears. A soft voice, laden with a hint of mischief, whispered, "Hehehehehe... hehe!!..."

Unfazed, Raven maintained her composure.

With steady steps, she continued her investigation, her green eyes piercing through the shadows. She followed the ghostly sounds, winding her way through the corridors of the building.

In a forgotten corner of the barbershop, Raven discovered a dusty old mirror, its surface smudged and cracked.

As she gazed into its reflective depths, the image before her seemed to distort and shift. A ghostly figure materialized, revealing a translucent figure adorned in vintage attire, complete with a top hat and an impish grin.

Raven's emerald eyes widened as she witnessed the abrupt cessation of the supernatural occurrences that had captivated her attention.

The whispers dissolved into the stillness of the night, leaving behind only a lingering sense of mystery.

And just as the otherworldly presence faded away, Jayden, the very tired barber, entered the room, his expression a mix of confusion and concern.

"Raven, what's going on?" Jayden asked, his voice laced with curiosity.

Raven let out a soft meow, her tail twitching with frustration.

She longed to communicate the extraordinary events she had just experienced, but her feline form confined her to the realm of wordless meows and expressive gestures.

Jayden knelt down, his gaze meeting Raven's shimmering green eyes. "Are you hungry, girl? Is that why you're acting up?"

Raven blinked, surprised by Jayden's interpretation of her behaviour. She had been trying to convey the mysterious happenings that had unfolded, but perhaps Jayden's perception of her actions was valid too.

Understanding flickered in Jayden's eyes as he rose to his feet. "Alright, let's get you some food, Raven. Maybe you're just looking for a late-night snack."

With a reassuring smile, Jayden headed towards the small kitchenette.

He opened a can of Raven's favourite cat food, its savoury aroma filling the air. As he placed the dish on the floor, Raven eagerly approached, her hunger momentarily overshadowing the mystifying encounter.

"You must have been really hungry, huh?" Jayden chuckled softly, observing Raven's voracious appetite.

Raven devoured her meal with gusto, her hunger was finally sated. Jayden watched her contentedly, his mind still processing the strange events but also recognizing the simple needs that were often behind feline behaviour.

As Raven finished her meal, Jayden scooped her up gently, cradling her in his arms. He carried her back to her cosy bed, where she could rest peacefully after her nocturnal adventure.

"Sleep tight, Raven," Jayden whispered, his voice filled with affection.

Raven purred softly, curling up in her cosy bed as Jayden tucked her in. The mystery of the supernatural encounter would linger in her mind, but for now, the comforting warmth of sleep embraced them both.

This chapter isent the two chapters I was talking about, this is just a teaser for one of Jayden's gifts.
