After a long night of Ashke and Verlian explaining to Ravynne their situation and carefully leaving out the part where Verlian killed a woman and her child, she and Verlian retired to their home. Ravynne laid in the bed with Verlian in his usual spot the floor. He had piled his pelts onto Ravynne, keeping his layers light. The two of them laid there in silence for a while, with nothing but their breathing to break it.

"Verlian?" Ravynne began, "Are you awake still?"

He was laying on his back with his arms behind his head. He gazed up at her, "I am."

"Just like you've helped me…..I want to help you. Will you let me?"

Verlian chuckled, "You want to go up against the gods?"

Ravynne pouted, not that he could see, "Yeah. I don't care how dangerous or how scary. No matter what, I want to support you like you've supported me."
