Chapter 5

Emily's P.O.V

I thought finding the office was difficult but oh was I so wrong, I am going to be late for my first class of the day simply because this school is so damn huge, It's to the point where I'm sure it's larger than a shopping mall! There are only five more minutes until I'm late and I'm still here, standing here in the middle of the hallway thinking that I was the only one left, well, that was until I heard someone scream "move out of the way!!!" Before I felt like I got hit by a car or something when he or she did a crash landing onto me!

"AHH!" With that, I fell over on my butt, my poor butt! I slowly got up and looked over to the person who knocked me over, she has straight chestnut brown hair. She got up while trying to apologize, "I am so, so, so, sorry! I didn't mean to knock you over!" I smiled at her giving her my good girl act "It's alright no worries." Something about her looks familiar, maybe it's the blue eyes but I didn't think too much about it.

"You new here? I've never seen you around before. The name's Carly" She looked at me closely inspecting me, "Yeah but I'm kind of lost and class starts in one minute. Oh, nice name, my name's Emily" I smiled while scratching the back of my head. "Oh shit, I forgot all about class!" She freaked but then after a few seconds she calmed down "oh well, I shall get you to class first since you are new here, why don't you pass me your schedule so that I can take a look?" I nodded and passed her my schedule, "thank you so much! You're a lifesaver!" She suddenly started grinning from ear to ear and looked at me with a look as if she has just won the lottery, "we are in the same class! We are so going to be best friends!" My eyes widen, no I can't have best friends when I'm only going to be here for one week I thought to myself but still carried on putting up my good girl act, "Oh yay!! You… really want to be best friends with me? I mean you don't even know me yet."

"Of course! Why wouldn't I want to be best friends with you? I mean you look pretty and sound as friendly as you are nice!" Her eyes showed sincerity and I couldn't help blushing when she called me pretty but I tried to ignore it, no one has ever called me pretty before. . . Seeing her like this I couldn't possibly reject her so I just accepted and pretended to be happy. After all of that we realized that we were late by 3 minutes and we started rushing to class, Carly was running in front while I followed closely behind, weirdly she is able to run faster than I am able to, in the past no one was able to outrun me besides Kelly and Kaylin. . . Surprisingly, however, Carly is able to outrun me, I even had to push myself to my limits to even keep up with her. Oh my gosh! Exactly how large is this school?! We ran for at least a good 5 minutes already and we still have not reached the classroom yet! About a minute or so later, Carly suddenly stopped in front of me which caused me to lose my balance a little when I came to a stop all of a sudden. "We are here!" I looked to our right and realized that we were right in front of a door with graffiti on it. "This is the art room, only art rooms have drawings on the doors," she said cheerily. I just made an O with my mouth, before I could calm myself down from the nervousness that I am currently feeling, Carly decided to open the door and dragged me in causing tons of students looking our way including the teacher. I was mentally cursing as I could feel the butterflies in my belly partying!

Carly's P.O.V

Currently, we've just got into class and everyone was staring at all of us as if we have horns growing out of our heads just like unicorns, oh how I wish I am a unicorn as the saying goes, in unicorns, we must trust! Hehe, anyways back to the point Miss Ann broke the awkwardness and came up towards us, "oh, you must be the new student and I see that you've met Carly." She is kind and luckily she didn't kill me for being late to class as she is always strict about punctuality but most likely it's cause of Emily as she is a newcomer, looking towards Emily my mind kept trying to figure some things out, I was running with werewolf speed just now and no human is able to catch up to me but just now, Emily was hot on my heels I even speed up a little but she was still able to catch up weirdly. Hearing Miss Ann cough, it broke my thoughts and brought me back to reality, "Carly you may go take a seat now, while Emily she should introduce herself to the class. And next time please don't be late again or else you will be sent to detention and I'm pretty sure you don't like that." She said with a glint of mischief in her eyes, even though she is joking but I know that the detention part is definitely real so therefore I apologized and promised not to be late again and moved to the seat all the way at the corner.

After settling down everyone's gaze was on Emily, she seems confident and ready but if it wasn't for my werewolves instincts, I wouldn't be able to feel the nervousness and fear radiating off her, she sure is awfully good at hiding her emotions though. "My name is Emily and I'm 16 this year. I have been homeschooled since young so it's my first time attending a school, nice to meet all of you. " she managed to self-introduce herself even though she was nervous, I'm really impressed. Everyone gave her a friendly smile while some guys were checking her out, a few even wolf whistled, not surprising though, "everyone, I hope you will make Emily feel welcome and be good to her alright!" Miss Ann made sure everyone was in check and asked Emily to take a seat beside me.

She walked over to the seat by my side and took some time settling down, "hey you alright?" Looking at her concern as I could still feel her nervousness radiating off her. "Yeah just a little shaken up but it will be fine soon." She explained how since young she was well sheltered and always stayed home as her family is worried about her and things like that, we talked throughout the period getting to know each other more while we learned about the contrasting of colors. Time flew past quickly and soon it was break time before 2nd class starts, I can't wait until lunch which is going to be after our 2nd lesson. We got up and cleaned up our place and greeted Miss Ann goodbye, "Hey, want to join me for lunch?" She seems a little reluctant as if something was stopping her so I pulled out my ultimate card the puppy eyes! "Pwetty pwease Emiwy!".

"Fine!! Stop doing that!" She giggled and we joked around while walking to the cafeteria. I was going over to the table where my brother and his friends were and my mate! Ricky, Oh, how I miss him!!! Emily suddenly stopped and asked "Hey do you smell that? It smells like peppermint and guy shampoo, weird. . . " I sniffed the air a little and didn't smell anything like that so I just shook my head and replied, "nope, anyways let's hurry! I will introduce to my brother and friends!" I dragged her all the way to our table all the way at the middle of the cafeteria that was when something bizarre happened.

Alvin came up to us and suddenly pulled Emily over to him and kissed her. . . Not before saying "Mate" my eyes widened in realization and before I could say or do anything, Emily pushed my brother away and slapped him. . . That is when all hell breaks loose!
